I think i spoke too soon, there is definately something in the boot/rear wheel spring area that ONLY clunks when i start off cold. Starting to get to me :(

I rang them and asked for something in writing about the mechanical protection plan, in 3 months time i will know if they will ring me to get the car in. i'm not in a hurry. If they don't, i'll ring up and if they say no records of my car, that's the decision made...no need to go back to them.

Parkers are T10s man. plug and play to existing wire.

Sorry to dug this out again but could someone please tell me if this is the logo when you start up the GPS you see?

I feel they might be pricier than others. How much are they charging you? There are online quotes you can get, check out a few other providers.

I've switch to Cole Insurance (two cars), the other car i have lowered springs (within legal limits and done BEFORE the new law in 2009 so i wouldn't think i need to provide engineering cert.) and 18"s (stock was 16s but the biggest offering on the same car was 18s - need to state on the placard) both Coles said it was fine and the mods are now on the insurance cert. I think the general rule is, if it is within legal limits (for all States) and RTA approved the insurer should allow it but you need to tell them so they can put it on the policy..

Something loose in the boot or rolling around under your seat? B-pillar noise gone, as for the boot, i had them utility plastic container with the hinches that lock the lid, that was making the noise lol. Maybe the B-pillar noise was from that also.

What colour temp is yours? Do you think putting on HIDs will void the warranty?

The dealership is at Windsor, there are horses and cows on the way there so the scenery isn't too bad. I'll just do the first service and then decide i think.

Just rang and they said system is down and couldn't see my car as having the 3 yrs extended warranty. Lol, all used cars there has it so wtf!!! Anyway the service guy said it's $199 and he'll put something in writing. If they don't honour it, i have to think if it's worth escalating or just forgo it. $200 and a fair travel distance to the dealership isn't something i'm 100% keen on.

Was it according to the mechanical protection plan booklet, which would have stated what things will be done (on the inside of the cover page)?

I can't find paper to state how much it costs per fixed price servicing for extended 3 years warranty. How much is it and should i ask the Dealers to send me a formal paper?

ok no worries. When are you getting the HIDs done? I have a set ready to bolt in, might do it this Sat. things is with the HIDs, need to hide the Ballasts as to keep it away from cops and insurance.

lol i meant to say there are aftermarket oem-like indash touchscreen DVD/GPS that you may want to have a look at (to replace the stock radio/CD/DVD unit). I didn't realise you can get it for $350-600 off ebay. I got it and just want to recommend it. Better late to party than not they say. Welcome to the list :P

I'll leave it as so and drive it for a while and see if it's ok. As for the disconntion, yeh it was -ve first (during remove) and -ve last (when putting back battery) not that I knew it in advance.

This arvo i took out the battery to clean so that would have reset the ecu somewhat. When i but it back and turn on the car, i notice things aren't as smooth, car shakes with a/c on during idle. Does it take abit of time to normalise (ECU)?

Hopefully that's the case cos the battery looks like it hasn't be changed from new..Century???

Did you have to to drill a hole to the rubber cap for bulb to fit through? The vldeo didn't show the rubber cap?

I'm not asking people to agree with me or am i trying to brain wash anyone, all i'm saying it is logical to buy 2nd hand. If i have a phd in logic studies and if i'm pushing for this view it would easily be considered to be my view also, but i don't so it's purely about logic (not anyone's personal view). Logic is logic.

If there are no body who sells their car in the first 6-12months, the dealers would not have them for sale. Ex-demo, Ex-Employee, Ex-gov or 1 owner cars are plentify at dealers. As i stated before a less than 1 y.o Camry Hybrid (this is not your avergae Camry) selling for $23K (new cost $35K-39K) with new car warranty is a much better buy than a new car. How is it not? As for buying new in general, if i had $40K to spend i would not necessary spend it on a Camry. Put in a little more and there's the Euro Luxury to think about.
