  1. handsome? lel. his car is prettier than him even though its already ugly. As long as he showers more often than he washes his car :P
  2. Even a complete numpty can tell that's the standard Ford straight-6, if he's trying to say it's a V8 (unless those are old pictures) then he's a fool.

Coming back from Toyotafest, decided to drop by the old abandoned Yoothamurra Kiosk on the way out to Wiseman's Ferry for a couple of happy snaps And the only one I took of my car at Toyotafest: Charlie the Chook still remembers coming home from Charlestown Toyota on the backseat of my dad's brand new 1997 Corolla. *16 years on, and whilst he is starting to look a little weathered, he still takes time out to be a champ and hold up my entrant's number whenever I enter Charlene in an event
  5. I think you'll find that there is a big difference between fakes and copies. Fakes pretend to be the real thing (badges and all, often with pretty shocking results especially if you get tricked into thinking they are the real thing) whereas there are plenty of imitation/copy-style wheels made by relatively reputable companies (whilst the style might be copied/imitated, they don't put fake badges etc on them). You do get a lot of elitist JDM fanboi ****ers who think that you're not a real enthusiast unless you spend $4000 on a set of genuine rims, but in reality most of the population don't really need a featherweight uber-quality racing wheel and an imitation style from a well-known manufacturer is perfectly fine for everyday use. In short, I really love BBS LMs. I really want a set of BBS LMs. I can't afford a set of genuine BBS LMs, but I'd rather buy a set of LM-style from a company like Rota/Lenso/Linea Corsa etc than buy a set of fakes with BBS badges. Would you prefer to buy a real Rolex, a fake Rolex from a dodgy street vendor in Chinatown, or a JAG that looks pretty much the same as a Rolex for a tenth of the price? The JAG will give you years of trouble-free operation, as will the Rolex, but the fake will be junk in no time flat. Elitist horologists will get butt-hurt if you don't own a genuine Rolex, but most people have no need for a real Rolex and cannot justify the cost.
  6. Glad you went for the Redstuffs then?
  7. Also, I know it is a little late notice, but we are also having a couple of "side" events 1) Go-karts @ Eastern Creek, Saturday 1pm, and we will be doing a mini grand prix which includes: - warm up - 4 heats - grand final Session is approximately 3 hours in total. Price is $180, numbers need to be confirmed for this so either post in the Toymods thread or message me so I can tell Vito Also, a few of us will most likely be going to see Rush afterwards at Blacktown Hoyts, session time 6:30pm 2) For all those wishing to socialise further with like minded Toyota nutters after the show, we'll be feasting and drinking at... The Hillside Hotel 273 Old Northern Road, Castle Hill (approx 6mins from ToyotaFest / Home Hub Castle Hill) Google map directions Sunday October 6, 7pm No need for deposits this time, just pay individually on the night. Prices and what's on offer; http://www.hillsideh...-march-2013.pdf Be great to see you there! *Just so we have a rough idea on numbers, if you intend on joining us, please post below
  8. Yes there is a difference. The SR belongs to you, and the other one belongs to your friend.Seriously, it is like you are saying "I own a 2007 Commodore, and my friend owns a 2007 Commodore SS, what is the difference?", we need more information
  9. Well, SE does stand for "Special Edition" so not exactly ground-breaking. It is an almost certainty that Toyota will roll it out again in a year or two's time to try and boost flagging sales as the model gets older, happens all the time (look at the endless special-editions of Commodores/Falcons etc that roll out towards the end of a cycle to try and flog off remaining stock)
  10. Hmm, that silver strip is the electrical contact for the socket in the glovebox, yours might work slightly differently then...have you checked the glovebox yet?
  11. I think the idea behind "Vienta" was to try and do what they currently do with the Camry/Aurion 4-6 cylinder split - have the Camry as the "medium" car (to combat the Magna/Sonata/626 etc) with the 4cyl and the "Vienta" as the large car (to go up against the Falcon/Commodore) with the V6.
  12. I'll bet it is the same as my AE102, check the glovebox for a small socket which you can plug the central locking remote in to, this disables the immobiliser and allows you to set certain security features (horn beep on lock/unlock, single-door unlocking on first press etc etc). Can't remember the exact sequence, but I can check the user manual when I get home, it'll be something like "insert remote, wait for security light on dash to illuminate, press horn twice, press central locking switch etc etc" (note: not likely to be actual sequence, just an indication of the sort of steps that you might have to do).
  13. And cask wine comes in 5L boxes :P
  14. Did you check both the in-cabin fuses and the engine-bay fuses?
  15. I wish they had a AE92,it went from your model to the 2014 one. Nice to see those mint old schoolers in it So they did...I wasn't looking at it full-screen and it looked like the slightly rounder AE92 FXGT front end....plus Badmotorfinger came out in 1991 (Rusty Cage itself was a single in '92 though) and the 10x didn't start here until '94 so my brain didn't quite make the connection
  16. So they skip from the AE92 with Soundgarden to the ZRE with some trendy dubstep...are they implying that both the 90s Corollas and 90s music had no style? :P
  17. Please tell me that 160kw involves some kind of turbo. I highly doubt you can get anywhere near that number NA on a "safe" tune, especially with a PowerFC
  18. Neither, needs more green (although then it would look like a VT Commodore dash...)

Nah got the 50 seperate, depending on where you look you can sometimes get the 35 1.8 in a triple-lens kit. If you just want to get a body you can have my 18-55 and 55-200 for cheap :P
  20. Less than a month to go now, time to start polishing and fixing those last minute mods
  21. When did you order them? They had a shutdown for a couple of weeks last month that might have slowed things a tad
