I didn't have the quick shift kit or Exedy clutch and ran a 14.8 with less mods... what's your point? I personally think the quick shifter is a w@nk that's only purpose if for looks in our cars. There are many cars where it is a benefit but the stock shifter is pretty short for a shock shifter to begin with anyway.

funilly enough, it the same claim for G4 ;) :P

hehehehe I had one of those machines too Jason :) California Games 1 and 2 were my favorites when we had that computer. Had a 386 by the time Commander Keen eto were out. and Super 4X4 racers or what ever it was called where you drive the Stadium Trucks and hit nitous all the time to win... that was awesome fun :D

Commander Keen was awesome... as was the original Duke Nukem :)

I agree the General Discussion and General Chat Forums need a reshuffling. There are too many off topic threads in the Discussion Forum that are whoring it up, that belong in the chat forum and vice versa too. Pete, this will be a general comment, not aimed at you as you have improved a lot, but I'll use you as an example. In the early days of your time on the forum you were adding your comments ie 'good idea' or 'that's nice' etc which add no real insight or value to the discussion except if the person has specifically asked for those opinions. These need to stop unless they are asked for. There are things like the picture only threads <_< that have 4 pictures per page and the rest is just whored up space, keep it to the pictures like is asked... You say it adds to the enjoyment to be able to whore, and I don't disagree, but there is a place for it, there are specific topics. If you want to chit chat, keep it there, otherwise, stay as close to the topic line as you can. What you guys fail to see here is that if we are able to weed out whoring from the topic specific forums we could have one of the most informative forums going around. But to do this the discussion needs to be condensed and stay on topic. I'm not one for closing threads as soon as they go off topic like other forums do, as it prevents more from being added should new information arise, but some sort of arrangement needs to be reached on how to deal with it. The level of coverage on 1ZZ and 2ZZ engines rivals that of new celica and others, things just need to be organised and easy to find. Northy has done a great job in simplifying things to date with the commonly asked topic sticky, but more thing can always be added and other things improved, I guess it's just a matter of finding the right balance... ...sorry for the long post, but I felt I needed to clarify my end of the discussion as the thread starter. oh well... end rant :P

I just got back from getting my springs done ! ... and honestly its not hard just need the right tools ....... get a good 1/2 inch set ... and save yourself $200 ... you still need the spring compressors from tom ??/ coz I have them right at the moment ... toms not picking up his mobile thanks Jase... got the compressors now. Going to get some help on the tight bolts next weekend. But yeah, I'll be investing in some 1/2 inch sockets in the future I think too. The 3/8th one are weak as *****.

I was under the impression that you could actually up the rev limit to 8600-9000 RPM with the stroker kit provided you used stronger rods, pistons, valves, springs etc.

snapped my reducing socket for my torque wrench when just simply taking the hub connector bolts out so I'm either going to buy a 1/2 inch socket set, or just get some one else to install them... I'm singing towards the 2nd right now though... :(

Due to the large amout of post whoring that has been going on recently outside of the usual whoring posts is it possible to put in place a system where the mods start deleting all irrelevant posts from otherwise good topics?
