  1. Very interesting read Confirms what we noted from the Toymods dyno day about Vortex98 vs Ultimate Confirms what was noted from the CES dyno day about E10 vs true 98 RON fuels I'll still stick with the Vortex98 though purely from trust, and the additives I know are helping the car (fuel system cleaners etc)
  2. my post simply had the link to the other thread with no explaination as I feel it is not needed... I editted it as Northy beat me by about 2 seconds...
  3. I payed by cheque so mine will take a while to arrive, but I'm in no hurry...
  4. I'll make sure I get the exhaust sent ASAP for you so you can organise what you need to for the install... :) sounds good what you are planning though, hope you get the chance :D
  5. 20% off is Australia wide :D
  6. dress :P *** and we are back here again!!! *** :D
  7. XtigerX's car is a lot noiser than the CES unit though. I have heard Danthuyers and Tj's car (I fiited his intake) and I must admit the CES one did sound alot better. Sorry TJ. ← Chris's was loud by all accounts and so was Luke's at first, but Luke had some mods made to his and it's much quieter now without hiderring the performance... I don't think Chris would mind to much as he sold the car now...
  8. the one Influx and xTiGeRx have/had is equil to the task, but I wouldn't claim better... and is cheaper... but I'm not starting an arguement about that again...
  9. Penrite 10 tenths is GL4 and 1/2 the price of the Redline... Been telling you guys this for a while now... <_< <_<
  10. If he's only getting 14.8 down the 1/4 mile with that work done he doesn't know how to drive!!! The one I heard about was Black... supposedly out of the Rigoli stable, which I thought strange in itself as they are Rotory specialists??
  11. I'm a believer, I've heard a few rumours about this car... sub 14 seconds at WSID I heard, but I too suspect some more work then stated has been done...
  12. that's why I snapped mine up 2nd hand (though still brand new unfitted too) ;)
  13. just some info... the CUSCO one is also brilliant... one was on E-Bay and I mentioned ot to a few members but it appers to be sold now...
  14. had mine installed for a week now and VERY happy... the CES is the sh!t... sounds pretty loud at first but a combination of getting used to it and the steel carbonnning up make it sound sweet in no time....
  15. 2.3L for the Stivo ;) don't know where he got his figures from... I'm enjoying the Penrite 10 tenths I put in my gearbox... feels very light but when cool it is still a bit stiff on the changes, but warms up quickly. Gear oil also actually benefits from a bit of age and wear so the guys who change it every service may be do more harm than good... <_< EDIT: on another note, I tryed my 1st 1-2 change tonight after the upgrades... being wheels, lowering and exhaust... landed @ 6000RPM right on the money 1st time!!!
  16. take a look at the surroundings... things like hills, large buildings, and srong magnetic fields from high voltage powerlines all affect the FM band. The distortion is greater due to the shorter wavelengh of the broadcast signal on FM.
  17. there's a good hours worth of thrashing to be done through the nashy!!! + other routes to get there too ;) we may even make a few scenic stop overs on the way through :D of course this is all for the BIG cruise post exam time... not the 29th
  18. There's a bloke in Wollongong who drives a white one called 'LOWLUX' looks sweet as, I see him 'round all the time...
  19. AM will always travel further as it has a longer wavelengh and greater amplitude
  20. funny thing I noticed last night... I've got an emergency fluoro light in my car that I used to check a few things under my car in the garage last night. I got back in the car with it in order to unplug it from the 12V plug and found the radio became REALLY crackly. As soon as I had unplugged it and the light was off... the reception was crystal clear!!! Anyway... back on topic... Where in Sydney does it happen, perhaps you are finding black spots...?
