  1. Welcome back Craig. I know the feeling... made even worse when another former member pointed out to me that my car was up for sale again. And still looks fantastic. It's sold fast too. :(
  2. St George Mufflers on Boundary Road Mortdale also do some nice work.
  3. Sydney works. I drive through fairfield every day on teh way to work. I've got a set here that came from my half-cut. Will get some pics for you if you want, pm me an offer.
  4. Just putting this here for future reference... with the power steering delete gear, no A/C and the MWR water pump overdrive pulley a 6PK1430 belt is what suits. Would probably need a 1440 with the Alternator pulley.
  5. Cheers Jason, will let you know. This one comes in delivered complete with ceramic coating for $800 ($660 in the raw) so I thought it was worth the gamble. Would be hard to get one made locally for around that and PPE has a whole heap of experience with making 2ZZ headers that work. It also helps PPE out to know the issues, if any for the conversion into AW11 which is becoming more popular.
  6. I also know someone doing teh conversion into a ZZW30 anyway who may be interested in taking the headers off my hands if they don't fit, and I can go back to PPE with the modifications that need to be made to allow fittment to an AW.
  7. Just placed an order on a set of these babies..... hope to god they fit, they look this they will clear the support beam below the rear firewall, but they are designed to fit the 2ZZ conversion into a ZZW30 so no one can guarantee 100% they they will work. Fingers crossed.
  8. pahlease... it's an HTC or a Samsung Galaxy SII :P
  9. Also, forgot to ask... could you detail the driveshaft mix and match when you do it as that's a similar path I intended on going as well. I was going to try and use the AW outers with the Sportivo inners... not sure if they would match up though until I take them all apart once the 4A is out of the adub. the other option is SW20 3SGE shafts.
  10. Looking good Jason. That brake master gives ample space. What are you doing about the alternator? I notice it's not in there yet. Interesting about the shifter linkages. I hear that I'll have similar troubles finding reverse with my setup because there is not enough leverge space around the shifter to slot into reverse with the standard linkage positions. Will deal with that when I get up to it. Your sticking with the A/C too I see. All coming together well.
  11. Didn't quite get to the clutch install today but everything else it now connected... mostly, other than a few hoses.
  12. will have to sort out to get it up to a track day or two up north when it's running so you can see how it goes :)
  13. anyway... not bad for a few hours work...
  14. piper stage 3 :D has MWR 9500RPM hardenned valves/springs/Ti retainers etc when the head was done. all clearances were done to suit the new cams.
  15. shiny clean head + flash = pics fail... but mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, shiny
  16. well that's an interesting development :D

  19. Has this happened to u? Apart from replacing exahust components such us the resonators & muffler how can I fox this problem?, cleaning the inside of the pipes? I'm sure it shouldn't sound like this that quickly.? it's part of the exhaust bedding in process. It's normal, you don't clean it.
  20. the sound of your exhaust will get more subdued as it all carbons up with gas from the exhaust. Plus your ears get used to the noise.
  21. Very clean looking head almost mint. Mine looks shocking in comparison, and that is still in good condition... Head is a pain to get off (unless you have the correct bi hex bit, which I don't and am having trouble finding) hope to get mine sent off during the week to get machined and the new valves and springs set. You also need to pull the cams out to get access to the head bolts.
