  1. Try Toymods, Canberra Celica Club, Toyota Car Club of Victoria. It will be hard to always find parts locally for these but most people these days are willing to ship things over.
  2. sounds like a problem with the brake booster, like there's no power going to the power assist.
  3. nice work Jason I already knew they bolted up but was worried about the rotor thickness of all the off the shelf options. machining down makes this similar to the superstrut conversion with ST185 rotors another thing worth pointing out though in relation to the ST202 brakes is that they are freaking heavy compared to the standard ones if undamped mass is a concern for you.
  4. nope, manual ZZW-30s were never sold in Australia
  5. I'm assuming this is the semi-automatic transmission model and not a JDM manual 6-speed. Have you checked the transmission oil lately, may also be worth dropping the tranny oil pan and seeing if there is any debris in there. Fresh tranny fluid can smooth things out most times.
  6. looking a the specs you have put up for youe exhaust I wouldn't expect it to be all that loud, other guys have similar setups with no problems. HOWEVER, do you have a modified intake (eg CAI or SRI?) these can often be louder than the exhaust in these cars... something to be careful of.
  7. Well worth the effort to head along to guys. the last 3 years the event has had coverage in magazines (both Fast Fours and Hot4s last year and previously by Zoom) there has been close to 100 cars for the last 3 years as well, making this one of the largest all Toyota shows in the country. The show always have a good mix of cars from classics toyotas, both historic examples (standard) and modified to modern cars and even a few outlandish entries (perfect for WTF! awards) ... if you are the sort of person who doesn't want to stand around at a car show all day, this is perfect as well, as the cinema is right nextdoor and a great way to pass the time until the awards are handed out ;)
  8. I said maybe... I may have to bring the Eunos though as the MR2 could be off the road by then for some chassis work.
  9. seriously though, you guys drive around KNOWING it's illegal... how is that the police's fault? FFS some of you guys need to wake up. I hope you get busted.
  10. I might get my butt in gear and get out for a run with you guys again :) heaps of notice is good, should be fine for this provided the car is still on the road
  11. not really, the wheelbase of the V8 supercars does not even remotely relate to the road going cars.
  12. I wouldn't say that Dan There is a guy here with a KAAZ LSD in his AW11 that puts down 140kw (AE101 GZE with a few other goodies) He has run the car on the track heaps in the last 3 years since he installed it, and he doesn't hold back either (1:03 around Wakefield Park) The thing holds up well, just need to have the oil replaced as you would any other gear oil, the only difference was that he has been recommended to use only the KAAZ LSD oil which can be a pain to get at times, but it is still cheaper than Redline... Mind you it is an E-series box rather than a C-series...
  13. I go out to their cruises all the time, both when I had my Sportivo and with my MR2 Doesn't matter what car you have, as long as it's a Toyota, and you share the passion. :)

I know this, and that's why I recommend them. The IBM Thinkbook platform was unbreakable and this is what the Lenovo is based on. I know several people with Lenovos since the rebranding and all of them are 100% satified. The price difference is why I bought an ASUS over the Lenovo and I regret it.
  15. Exactly, upgrading your brake size isn't legal either. Unless it's engineered as such in NSW and Vic or mod plated in Qld. It's perfectly legal to redrill rotors to 4x100, as long as you follow the rules and get an engineer to sign it off.

Get a Lenovo, they are built like a brick. Other than that, I've got an ASUS which runs brilliantly, but is very plasticy and is showing wear and tear and starting to fall apart after just 1 year. Steer clear of HP and Compaq. Dell is not too bad, but not as good as the Lenovo.
  17. lol, I was just about to comment on the strut rod mounts, I had to take mine off when reinstalling after doing the bushes myself. the best way is to crack the nuts that connect the strut rod to the lower control arm, then loosen the nuts on the end of the strut rod (remember to mark the position to make it easier to find the correct castor after you reinstall everything), undo the strut rod mount so you can get it out the way, that gives you heaps of room to wiggle and leaverage the castor rod out of the LCA holes.
  18. yes they are, just be careful doing so though, cross the wrong wires accidently and the airbag will go off in your hands which would not be pleasant.
  19. you would need to get the superstrut turn knuckles for that as I believe they are a different design to the standard AE10#
