  11. ~350kw with ~500nM of Torque or something crazy like that they however use a 2L 3S-GTE as opposed to a 1.6L 4A-GTE ;)
  12. Yeah thats the problem, if your too nice you get taken advantage of yep, understand completely Rob :D I was in a similar situation, for almost 3 year, I just thought it was 'normal' as it was my 1st real relationship. Oh well, you live, you learn. Much happier now :)
  13. Get lost. This is TOCA we treat ALL our member with repect. If we would like to support one of our fellow member we will. Phil... Give Dimmy a break... he's one of the good guys man...
  14. Yep, Dan is a good guy, but shy at times and very competitive.
  15. case in point was last cruise, the Palm Beach one. Myself and Xoom went along and were asked many questions by Sam, which I expected, as we here both keen to share knowledge. But I received several jibes from a few people there (not sure if they were members or not, if they aren't I apologise) most being... 'Show us your ascent with a sportivo kit'... this was even why my bonnet was open and I was explainging things to Sam. Xoom had his bonnet open too, but he doesn't have an engine cover on stating it is a VVTLi, I don't know if this caused some confusion. They were quickly put in their place for the comments, but the fact we even needed to was the issue. If they had any respect at all that would ask question about the car before making judgement.
  16. Dimmy, I also want to point out that I have nothing agianst SRC or it's members. Honestly if I hadn't found this place 1st I would have been a member there sooner myself. However, the lack of knowledge/respect given to new schoolers there is apalling. I love all corollas and do my best to learn about each and every model. I only wished more people would take the time to see each model for what they are. I do what I can to help out when new schoolers come on there and need help, I do not direct them to this site unless it is truely necessary or they ask a specific question about it. I believe that they should be able to find information for themselves rather then be spoonfed. I also don't want to take potential members away from SRC as you guys are young and need to attract new members to survive. I see you having a problem with retention of members though. I've mentioned this to Dan but I feel you need to diversify a bit. Focussing on Autosalon and other Car shows should just be one aspect of the club, not the be all and end all. I'll continue to do my bit and share what knowledge I can to the greater Toyota/Corolla community.
  17. Dimmy, most of it comes via pm. I honestly thought things had settled down. Amazing that it only too 1 observation from Craig (Puzzleman), who was not aware of the situation and just asking a question (as far as he was aware Sam and Bec were still regulars at SRC) for the whole thing to escalate.
  18. have a look at FLYNSX 4 engines later... he gets 250kw. 300 is possible but a big ask. There is a drag car that put out around those numbers but is not street registerable and 100K has been put into the engine alone (you can tell its all gone to the engine when you look at the rest of the car)
  19. No worries Bec, I just thought it unfair that they would judge you without even speaking to you. I get asked all the time what happened and why you are Sam aren't there... I keep telling them that it's your business and they should ask you rather then rely on 2nd hand information. Hopefully a few actually take my advice because these 'chinese wispers' type of stories are getting out of hand... and I notice the censor has come down on Sam's thread again...
  20. Rob... see my sequential shift light thread. different style to what you are looking at, but you may find it interested none the less. http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...p;hl=sequential
  21. E85 is pump fuel in Brazil due to the huge amount of cane. and no, it hadn't been posted that was the 240R... the supercharged Lotus running on normal petrol
  22. I think you will find the Sportivo box is a C64, the C60 is in the Celica and has a longer ratio 6th gear, but the same design. The 6 signifies it as a 6 speed gearbox so it is imposible for it to be a C5# gearbox.
