  1. Don't try to clean them yourself with spray cans etc. Get a professional to do it. When my son spewed on the back seat (twisties - yellow spew) in the camry. I had them cleaned professionally by a mobile car detailer. He came to my house and he had a mini wet vacum cleaner like those they use to clean carpets. Really got the seats clean (and the smell out). I would recommend this as the way to go as the seats came up like new. Had it done one afternoon and they were pretty much dry straight away and fully dry the next morning. I think those car wash places in the shopping centres do the same thing. It does not cost that much for example Just got this off the web V2 wash & wax, vacuum, shine tyres & mudflaps, clean windows (inside & out), dress dash & console, and deodorise cars from $41.00 4WD and people movers from $48.00 V3 as per V2 plus shampoo seats and carpets cars from $132.00 4WD and people movers from $143.00 There is also mobile upholstery cleaners that do lounges etc. that also do cars. Google is your friend.

    Wii

Anyone know what the best bundle is at the moment to get (price and where). Any experience with them. Are they good fun. Good build etc. Does the remote use up batteries too much etc. What are the must get accessories (2nd controller etc)
  3. What the. How is this law. everyone in Australia would be booked for this. QUOTE "This is an example of how laws here are so stupid. I was written a ticket for parking half my car on the grass and half my car in my driveway.... "tried to squeeze two cars in one parking space". This is in front of my own home and front lawn. To make things even more worst the officer had to climb over my 5 foot fence just to write the ticket. My whole front yard is enclosed by a fence including a remote fence to let my car in. THIS GRINDS MY GEARS!!"
  4. Seems to me that $8500 for this car is way too much money irrespective if it has been in an accident. I am about to trade in my 2001 csi and I doubt they will be offering me anything like that as a trade and its in good condition 88klms, auto air factory CD new tyres. A quick look on www.carsales.com.au shows there are a lot of cars for this money without taking the risk it has been repaired cheaply. Might effect your ability to sell it down the track as well. Me I would say plenty of alternatives out there give this one a miss.
  5. My 2001 Camry CSi has drivers only standard
  6. Spotted on the Southside. One Silver sportivo pre facelift with tow bar, one black pre facelift Sportivo without towbar and one Black facelift Sportivo with towbar. All in the same driveway. Lots of tools lying around and a carton of NEW.
  7. You don't wear a seatbelt Then a sunroof is the last of your worries. My kids are 13 and 15 and have been brought up to automatically put on a seatbelt. They would think it crazy not to.
  8. I have had my Sportivo since 2003 and been on the forum since then. I can assure you no one in that time has reported engine failure except one which does not really count as normal. They are very reliable for a car that revs so high (and most people here including myself regularly go to 8000+ rpms on a regular basis). I think I would rather back toyota over renault in the reliability stakes.
  9. You may need to give the car a good wash especially the vents near above the bonnet. This happened to me when a cat actually did climb up on the bonnet and peed there and I could not get the smell out. Cats like to go on to the bonnet for warmth and sometimes the Tom cats have a little squirt to mark their territory. Also I always leave the vent open and the only time I put it on recirculate is when I am behind an old Brisbane City Council diesel bus spewing out heaps of black smoke or behind an old magna with shot rings. For your own health I don't think you should drive around on recirulate.
  10. Not by toyota website. I need to go and look at one in the flesh and take them for a test drive.

    Odo readings

2001 CSX 000,005 when new and now 87,537 Ready to sell it soon.
  12. Are you serious. You have front and rear windscreen plus all the side windows already. I don't think that a moon roof is going to compomise safety in a roll over. I am sure Toyota would not sell it if it was unsafe. In the USA they have to crash test all cars with and without sunroofs. So now you can only buy a lot of cars with sunroof as standard as they don't want to do both tests. In most instances the steel frame of the sunroof makes it stronger (I say in most cases as this was not true for the piece of rubbish out of China which got no stars).
  13. Just doing some research and found a few things I need which are not in the Altise. Kids are getting a bit older and having some input so they don't want any car that does not have rear vents for themself so one tick against the Altise. Also what does the multi function trip computer do ? Also the curtain and side airbags are a must so I would need to option those up with an Altise purchase Has anyone got the moon roof (is it worth the $1650) as I would like to go this option as well. What is the best price anyone has purchased one of these for (I am eligble for silver fleet discount through work)
  14. You can give it all the bogan jokes you want but I'd gladly take it. *edited: Do what you like man =) the only place i would drive a ute is in a dodgy part of Asia where I can have passengers in the back. hehehe That reminds me of a guy I used to work with who took a transfer to New Guinea and he brought a ute. The car salesman (a local) could not understand why he was buying a family car. He did not understand what he was talking about as it was basically a two seater until he saw the other utes driving around with all the kids and relatives in the back.

    new camry.

Looks great, I want , I want. PS Don't you hate it when the car yard is too lazy to put the rego sticker as far down and to the left as possible.

    new camry.

I am looking to get a new Camry. How have you found the power - the wife is always complaining about lack of power in her 2002 model 4 cylinder. Also how is the fuel economy as the current one despite its weight is still pretty good.
  18. Spotted Flier going down the Gold Coast Highway from Brisbane with a WRX up his clacker on Saturday afternoon. Pulled out to follow them but let him go .
  19. Wonder if they take your keys off you before they let you on. Don't want any nutters driving off when up the top. Lock for the handbrake as well maybe. Seems tooooo weird.

    Weight Loss

I signed up for the gym a couple of months ago to improve my cycling fitness and do 2 - 3 spin classes a week and two weights sessions. One of the weight sessions is with a personal trainer. Money is a bit high (they charge heaps) but it is really worth it to ensure you are doing it right and working the correct musles. He is really working my core at the moment and I can feel the results. Back etc was stuffed after a hundred years sitting at a desk and computer and it's feeling a lot better now. the mountain biking has improved with the extra strength. Will move towards working on the luv handles but I do like chocolate etc and when you have kids there always seems to be chocy biscuits and bad stuff around to eat. Two tips I can give is: - do it with someone else where you both make a commitment to each other (its easy to say I just give today a miss and catch up tomorrow but if someone else is relying on you you don't) - enjoy it and don't believe you have to kill yourself in the first week. PS I had to laugh when reading this some one said do long bike rides and then said off to do a 13k ride - a long ride for me is 100k's or 4 -5 hours on the mountain bike. No offence there but.

  22. Too true. All us punters can do is vote with our feet if we can't stand the cheats. Only thing is we then cheat the clean riders out of their sport.
