  1. Sorry mate but if you want to trade on this site you need to contact admin for permission.
  2. The big difference between the cars is that we have a wheel well for a full sized spare and they have one to fit a spacesaver into. So the difference in the floor height might mean that it won't fit.
  3. you would have seen "ashs red rolla astra" too, he was a few cars behind me LOL couldn't handle the power of the Sportivo hahahahahahahaha
  4. Obviously you STILL didn't read the first post. <_< Nominations do not close till Friday the 22nd December and till then we don't know how many and who so please save your fingers from typing and put them to work doing something usefull like washing your car :P
  5. Definately tyre width is too wide and rims are obviously the wrong offset. This isn't the first time I have heard of Ozzy tyres doing this to people. It's a case of "yeah mate they'll fit and look great" even when they don't and make the car dangerous. All they are interested in is selling wheels and tyres and couldn't really care whether they are dangerous/suitable for the car or not. I have had dealings with them and will never deal with them again beacuse of this reason and as I said know of quite a few people in the tyre wheel industry who willl say the same thing. :( Definately go back and complain to them and ask for a fix. :D
  6. Craig stripped nearly all the mods out of his car before he sold it apart from a couple of items. :D
  7. Spotted 5 Sportivo's at Bracken Ridge on Thursday night. Jc, Azza,Hdache and Ash. As well as the Bullit. :D Also spotted Scott(05sportivo i think) on Wednesday too. But I can't remember where... :P
  8. We are not adding 2 more moderators but are replacing 2 that aren't on here anymore or who are not participating regularly enough. So no we are not wanting 2 more mods BUT are replacing 2 inactive so to speak ones. Comprehende?

  10. CES does offer discounts to members from this forum. All you have to do is say you are from here and expect a discount or reduced rate of sorts. If you don't open your mouth you'll never know. CES have told me how many calls they get but prolly only one in a handfull ever say they saw it on our forum. Makes sense really. Also I have approached shops like Autobarn etc but they were reluctant(the people I spoke to anyway) when they saw the treatment our only sponsor gets on this forum. Carlo agree with you on the threads in traders area 100% And I have warned many about keeping on topic but it seems that locking them is my only choice.
  11. Well we have one business that DOES make stuff for our cars and all he gets is abuse from a proportion of our members of who don't have their products or have never dealt with the company. He reads what goes on on this forum and hears feedback from Brisbane and some interstate customers on just how his company is treated on TOCAU. I for one have approached other businesses about advertising here (not specific products for Corolla's) but I am now hesitant to do so because we have members who have opinions about everything they really don't know a lot about. It really is not the sort of environment that businesses see as being profitable due to the fact that they don't get support from members but instead a lot of opinionated guesses.
  12. We could get more sponsors but firstly we have to support the one we have. Not too many businesses I have spoken too were keen after they logged on and saw the type of flack that our only sponsor cops from some members on this forum. Can't blame them really......
  13. Agreed there rollamods. Underdriving things like alternator, AC etc etc puts extra strain on these components as they are now spinning a lot faster and things such as bearing failure will become a more common factor. Plus the stock pulleys are balanced with the crank for smooth spinning and harmonics. Changing these could open up another whole bag of problems.
  14. Maybe you should speak to Dave as the last time I did he was having issues with them actually fitting his car.
  15. The Corolla due to its rear suspension design has the tendancy to pitch the rear out when cornering hard and hitting a bump/dip in the road mid corner. I have improved my car out of sight by doing the following simple mods. Front strut brace, rear sway bar, koni's and king springs. If you want to induce some very ordinary understeer then put on a heavier front sway. the thing with a front wheel drive car is to keep the front wheels on the ground at all times by really tieing the rear down somewhat and not making the front too stiff. I run my rear koni's on about 3/4 maximum stiffness and combined with rear sway to try and keep the rear tight but also set the front koni's to about 2/3 max stiffness to keep the front of the car from getting a little floaty on uneven surfaces. This set up enables me to corner hard enough to get it to hang the tail if I push it hard enough without the front breaking into masses of understeer. If I do happen to lift off mid corner through brain fade(we all do it at some time LOL) the rear will behave as Chris has mentioned but mine is very easily controlled with applying a certain amount of throttle and steering lock and letting the front pull out of the corner and pulling the rear around straight. This can be done without the aid of a LSD!(for those of you who have one..... you suck LOL!!!!) Guys running coilovers will notice that by adjusting the dampener settings to allow a firm not teeth shattering ride will absorb bumps in the road/track surface that the car will handle better as it keeps the wheels in contact with the road. I noticed this with Northy's car when he first put the coilovers in. they were set real hard and on a smooth surface it handled like a go kart but through a few bump's/dips in corners and on exits and it would just start to run wider and wider pushing understeer and the back was simply bouncing around behind the front. We adjusted the dampeners down a bit in the rear and then went for a run and it improved it a lot but the front still needed a bit less. After adjusting the front down more the car now handles really well with a stock rear sway and front strut brace. It absorbs bumps in the road/track surface beautifully without upsetting the balance of the car and is also requires a lot less effort to drive fast as it just feels more stable. Also things like how your alignment is set up and camber on the front will also play a crucial part in how your car handles at speed too. Cheers SB :D
  16. Welcome to TOCAU mate. Another pointer for you would be to check out the registry(or garage area) and look at the most modded cars or check out the areas in which you want to modify and see what everyone else is using :D
  17. AEM Yeah good one mate!! Enjoy the stirring sounds of lift as heard through a CAI pipe!!
  18. Ok boys here's the drill!! We have 6 to order(3 new ones and 3 to replace Australia Posts ***** up) So the list reads as follows- Xploshun - Paid Ydoit4 - paid JJCRU23R - paid se7en GtiRboy Suprathai If this is correct then can all concerned contact me via PM to confim their order(apart from the lost 3) so that I can then send you my bank details for the deposit as before. Please be quick as I will need to get the order in this week so that I can get them back before chrissy if that is possible. cheers SB :D
  19. or the length of a jail term LOL
  20. Sprayed these myself with a colour match from Autobarn. If you prep the painted surface correctly and you can paint with a can properly then it won't be a problem. My rear mudflaps have been painted for nearly 3 years and no drama's :D
  21. So did you do this or did someone else do it for you :P :P Love your work young fella :D
