  1. I can not believe that you guys are still ****ing on about the difference between these 2 cars.... NEWSFLASH: THEY ARE 2 DIFFERENT CARS WITH 2 DIFFERENT MARKETS!!!!!!!!!!!! If you want to compare the Corolla to something more reasonable, then 1ZZ's should be compared to Mazda 3, Ford Focus, Holden Astra, Hyundai Elantra and even the Nissan Tiida. Compare your SPortivo to Mazda 3 MPS, Ford XR5 and Holden Astra Turbo. The ITR was what, like $15k more than the sportivo, had a better suspension setup out of the box and was a 2 door car designed for semi-trackwork. The Sportivo was a slightly modified and feature packed (leather, climate control, body kit) designed for the Corolla market that wanted a little extra bang for the buck, hence why it was under $30k Now as I see it, if you are going to come to the Toyota forums asking 'which is better' then the Toyota guys are going to back the Corolla. Ask the same question on OzHonda and I would say it would be a safe bet for them to put their money on the ITR. Any Corolla owners on the Toyota forum that are going to be barracking for the ITR, in my opinion should **** off and buy themselves and ITR. I am really sick of hearing these threads. They are nothing but a waste of time, energy and bandwith. Want to know what the differences are, go and drive them both, and buy the one you like most. Asking which is better when you have thrown mods at the car is a pointless and stupid question that can never be accuratley answered. End Rant MODS, Please shut this thread....
  2. Just seen this things guys, and it's a nice beast....rides well......

    Sideburns

I don't grow them for a number of reason's. Firstly, they are not really allowed in the Army, secondly, my sideburn hair is different texture to my head hair so it looks weird, and finally, I think they are stoopid..... Back in the day???? Last Friday....dude, i'd not give you much past 17 now.... :P
  4. I was going to ask the same thing... Please Corey, please please please......
  5. Good work Bren....am expecting to see this within the hour
  6. Simple.... if your going to come to a Toyota forum to ask for opinions in this type of argument, then the Toyota fans are going to barrack for the Sportivo everytime. Those hanging around here (WITH COROLLA'S) that are going to bat for the Honda, in my opinion should shut their mouths and get lost. Nothing like a hypocrit talking up the ITR when they drive a Corolla.....if you like them so much, then **** off and buy one..... As mentioned in the last thread, to which this is an exact replica of, they are 2 totally different cars for 2 totally different markets.... I am really sick and tired of people trying to compare these 2 totally different cars... You wanna compare a Sportivo to something, try the Mazda 3 MPS, Ford XR5 and Holden Astra Turbo as these are the vehicles in the same class. Is there a 4 door Civic with VTi? If so, then this would be a more suitable comparison. Also, if your brother is selling you his Sportivo for $30k, then he has bent you over and offered you a stiff one cause unless it has some serious mods, it aint worth it... SB's is going for $23,500 and that is a good indicator of what a Sportivo is worth. I wish mods would shut this thread down and all others like it cause they are silly, pointless and waste bandwidth....
  7. First time I had watched it....absolute gold
  8. You bet you missed out TJ...we had a ball.... Yeah, I was at Bunnings, I was rugged up under my big jacket and umbrella (I had the Bunnings umbrella ironically) Sam, You know I was glad to meet you guys, although you never gave me the 2 hugs and couple of beers.... hahahaha
  9. mate totally agree ..... as you can see from your ride in sydney ..... i got NFI ..... spent my money on the wrong items and you obviously saw that the car doesnt perform :whistling: :whistling: :whistling: Exactly, your car is a peice of sh!t.....
  10. The difference would be "Let's go throw decent exhaust, intake yadda yadda yadda on Corolla and just do exhaust and intake on ITR..... speeds then effectively mean zippo Top speed comparison with zero mods would be a good read....
  11. Firstly, are they stck quoted figures or are they modded figures....???? OK, It's like this, when omparing a Sportivo and an ITR as an out of the box product, of course your ITR is going to be a better package. Thats usually what happens when you spend a buit more money on the purchase price......therefore at this point you are really comparing 2 different cars....may as well compare a Camry Sportivo to a HSV..... When you start throwing money at the cars and asking the question about which car is better when modded, then the answer comes down to "who spent the most SMART money".... I could spend $20k on my Sportivo and make it go nice. Spend the same moolah on the ITR and also make it go nice. But if you diodn't spend your money on the right things, your stuffed. Example, after the weekend in Sydney and seeing what Bill has done to his car, if you spent the same money he did in an ITR but had NFI about what you are doing and only spent a portion of the time researching what you need to do and where to do it, then you would not make too much in the way of improvements. Sure you would get some gains, but would you get really good gains, probably not. As I said, it all comes down to who spends the most smart money.
  12. I don't have soldering hands, but I have mine done....but then again, I know someone with those special hands, don't I????

  15. I always thought that Registered Motor Vehicle Dealers were supposed to include the REVS check in the Bill Of Sale.... They used to here in Queensland.
  16. Can we keep this to pics and not comments.....
  17. I feel for your situation mate, I hate nothing more than being on the butt-end of a problem, and believe me, I usually get my way (Thanks BigPond for yet another credit on my Broadband account lol ) Firstly, yes, the dealership needs to disclose known history of the vehicle. The one thing you need to prove though, is that they actually knew of the accident. This can at times be near impossible and difficult, but has to be done because you can not be accusing them of misleading and deceptive conduct if they have not mislead you. TO be honest, their appraisers, detailers and workshop guys sholuld have picked this up, however a well covered accident can be difficult to pick up. Often they rely on what information they are given when they trade the vehicle from the previous owner or collect it from the wholesalers. My suggestion to having this issue resolved, is firstly to pop on down to a decent panel beater in your area. This may cast you a small fee but worth it in the long run if you succeed. Have the panel beater write a report on the vehicle identifying the current issues with the vehicle that need to be repaired, as well as identifying the problems that he is able to identify as damage that has previously been repaired. Secondly, have this report endoresed by an Assessor at your insurance company. They may choose to write their own or just a statement to the effect that they support the panel beater. Before then involving an independant umpire, give the dealership an opportunity (in writing) to correct the fault. The ACCC or any other independant body will not really support you until you have given them an opportunity to correct the fault. The best way to approach the dealership then is either by writing them a letter and in a rational method, lay out the story identifying the purchase, story to date, and ensure that you ask them in a rational manner, what outcome you want. Remember at this stage you should not be too demanding or rude. You need to then advise them exactly what resolution you are looking for, whether it be a replacement vehicle or for them to repair the one you have. Also give them a timeframe that you want them to respond to your complaint and a timeframe that you want them to have the issue resolved. An example of this letter could be: When you send this letter, send it by Registered Post or Fax so you have a confirmation that it was recieved on their end. Should you not recieve a response,or you do but it is not satisfactory, then I would be putting a call in to the Department of Fair Trading in Victoria, and advise them of where your at. Good luck and be sure to let us know how it all goes... Cheers Aaron
