  1. In the nicest possible manner, do a search, cause there have been a myriad of threads created regarding tyre/shock/spring setups...
  2. But if he has a SX6 though, isn't the spring/shock setup different to the TRD, therefore effectively creating a different environment for the wheels.

  16. You didn't need to. THe title of the thread and the manner of tone in your initial post did that for me.... Just remember, Forums aren't always full of bogans, some of us have done extensive training in Customer Service, Customer Satisfaction and Customer Psychology. I have been trained to understand a Customer's attitude by the words they use in written format.
  17. After many years working in some form of customer service based environments, I always found that if someone approached, regardless of how major or minor an issue is, with a "hey, heres an issue, can we have a look at fixing it?" type attitude, then it was always a pleasure to help, then these people would appreciate the help, and return business..where as people that are all like "f-en this and silly that and what are you gonna do about it and i'm telling everyone how crap you are" then I was always like, whatever.... The main thing to remember too with approaching a warranty/repair/replacement/customer service issue is that your tone of voice sets the mood. It doesnt matter how polite you are, rudeness is detected in you tone....not in your words...
  18. What can you do to 'get' these guys....firstly, don't come onto forums sruking like that... As for the leaves, yes, it is the owners responsibility to ensure that systems are maintained. Whilst it may seem unreasonable to expect an owner to have the knowlege on how to keep air intake areas free of leaves and debris, at the end of the day, if it is an area where leaves can easily get to by simply driving down the street (as you say your car is kept garaged) then it obviously should only be then building up in places where you can see/reach/monitor. If you really feel that this is an unreaslistic request, then you should, politley, contact the Toyota customer service number, which you can find in your handbook. MY ADVICE IS TO ALWAYS BE NICE AND APPROACH THE CONVERSATION IN A REALISTIC AND REASONABLE POSITION. I have seen too many times people calling this number, having a go at how they think it is rediculous what has happened, then cracking the darky when it doesnt go any fuirther. If your local dealer has genuinly tried to stooge you, then TMC hotline will help, you just have to be nice to them...You need to note that a lot of dealers around the counrty, as well as TMC head office read these forums, and the more people sit here and gripe without taking reasonable and non-emotionally charged steps to resolve, the less they are gonna want to help. Their attitue will be that "oh, this is than nutter from the Toyota forum that bagged us..." Just my advice, up to you what you do with it....

  23. Sorry for the delay, have been freakin busy Arm/Disarm Chirps (Factory Set "ON") When programmed "ON" the systems will emit one "chirp" when arming and two "chirps" when disarming. The following proceedure will allow you to turn the "chirps" sound on or off: Arm then disarm the alarm system Within 20 seconds of disarming, turn the ignition switch from the "ACC" position to the "ON" position six times. Leave the key in the "OFF" positoin after the sixth turn. Press the button on the transmitter. The indicators will flash six times to confirm the selection has been changed. NOTE: Error chirps will always remain on irrespective of selection.
  24. It doesnt need to show the amount. The person you supply to will retain the form with their paperwork as evidence as to why they didnt withold 48.5%. You only ever need to supply the Statement By Supplier to a customer once... precisely, however by doing a didgy excel spreadsheet and not declaring, when dealing with businesses, they must withold 48.5% witholding tax unles they are provided with an ABN or a Statement By Supplier. Should the business be audited and can show that paid Jase (or anyone else) then the ATO will further audit the payee, then Jase is in more poo that a poof's doodle without a rubber
  25. Hey Jaso... Mate, you 'should' register for an ABN if you are planning on carrying on an enterprise with the intent of making income. Income is derived as being regular and expected. Your mate is able to pay you on his books legitimately, all you have to do is provide him with a Statement By Supplier, which is basically a document from the ATO that you sign and declare that you are recieving ther monies for a particular purpose, ie, as private recreational pursuit or hobby, thereby he is covered and does not have to withhold 48.5% tax and you can safely justify the money recieved without having to declare it as income. The secret to the tax rules is simple, 'Self Assesment'. THis means, you can fit a lot of things through the loopholes if you can justify it with some sort of legitimacy. If you were to do the above thing a few times, then things would be harder to justify as being a hobby, however you have to look at the definition of income, this being 'Regular" and "expected" It sounds to me like you are planning on trying to make some coin, so my honest suggestion is to register for an ABN (you will only need to register for GST if you are expecting an annual turnover of like $75k per year or something....) and declaring it lawefully. If you do not register for GST, you can not charge GST, and cause you can not charge GST, you can not claim GST input tax credits.... You dont need to be a Business to register for an ABN either, you canregister for an ABN as a sole trader, meaning the ABN will be registered to you personally, and you personally will be responsible for the lodging of the relevant Installment Activity Statements and making the appropriate payments to the ATO for your tax. What registering will do for you is allow you to issue an Invoice (only a Tax Invoice if you are registered for GST) and therefore not having to supply a statement by supplier everytiome you deal with business yourself. My final suggestion, is talk to friends you already have in business, and ask them to reccomend you for a good Tax Agent. He will prolly clarify most of what I said, and be able to lodge most of the documents for you. (Also by having a registered tax agent listed on your account with the ATO, it gives you an automatic 28 day extension on the deadline for lodging your activity statements, this also goes for personal tax rteturns) Hope this helps... Cheers Aaron PS: My credentials...I used to work at the ATO in the Small Business Call Centre andswering calls all day just like this... I currently am a FInacial Operations Officer for a major state government department dealing with audit control on GST, FBT and other financial resources of the organisation.
