  2. I may make a rare appearance this week with my new(ish) car....
  3. Nah, my old car has the plates ***-KSX.... A mate of mine bought it, and I don't think he would have been near Cornwall St anyway. He lives in Kedron, works in Northgate, his parents are in Murrumba Downs and he plays golf in Dakibin..... He never drives it anywhere else...

  7. what is this, a friggin reunion :P
  8. I am surprised that after 5 years, people ar still asking what the best systems for a ZZE123 are...... My suggestions..... I had a 04 SPortivo with a stock system, added the CES system, and my dyno showed an extremely beneficial difference. I cant put forward any other argument than this is worth the money it cost
  9. I have a 01/08 Rav4 CV Auto, and done around 28,000kms and the past few weeks have started to notice a knocking sound on left turns. To date, the sound only appears when making a left. Not regular, rather often. Can be felt through the steering wheel as well as heard audibly. Does not matter how much of a turn is being made. I am normally pretty good at finding these problems, but have not come up with anything yet. Will be taking it in to Toyota one day next week after Easter, just thought I would ask if anyone could think of anything else to look for...

If thats the one for the rear boot compartment, mine wass standard
  11. There is a really good chance that this has occured because you are using bulbs that are not 'UV-Cut'. Usually cheaper bulbs are the culprit, anything under $25 a set... Unfortunalty some headlamp glass is more susceptable/proned to it occuring than others, and Echo & Rav are up there...
  12. De Ja Vu Try 'SEARCH' or trdsales.com
  13. I was under the impression it was 08 models, certainly was the case with RAV anyways, hence why I bought a Jan 08 instead of the Dec 07
  14. Not sure if I will be out tonight.....have stacks of work to do...... but will keep trying to get it all done early....
  15. Yes, and yes...... Simple advice, don't have illegal mods....
  16. I'll be out in the Rav..... Hang on, that was last night....YEAH I WAS THERE!!!! Where were you Julez??? Huh?
  17. Hey guys, Just got back from my OS trip and seen this. I can't go unfortunatly, because I have a prior commitment. Would have been good to come out and meet you newer guys I don't yet know and catch up with some of the old hags of the group.... Next Time Azz
  18. Then cannon and DVD player will not provide any extra value in the event of a sale, and the lowered suspension will also be very minimal increase in value, more just sweetener.... As the others said, return to stock and increase your chances. I sold my 04 with 80 something thousand in March with lowered kings, strutbrace, CES exhaust, TRD Intake, eyelids, 17's, and some other minor aesthetic mods and got $17,500....
  19. Ok Trav, just got off the phone with John...and this is what he had to say: Changing stock 55w bulbs to a 100w is like a 80's-90's poor mans upgrade to get better clarity out of your bulbs, and with bulb technology nowadays, you will get way better vision from a good quality 55w than you would by a simple 100w or 150w upgrade. Besides that, unless you go to the expense of altering you mounts & wiring, you are seriously risking melting them, and should that happen, bye bye insurance... For about $30 a bulb, Philips do a 55w +80 which is a bulb about half way between your standard yellow tinge bulb and a white light, providing around 80% extra vision that a standard Narva 55w. If you don't mind spending the money, you could spend around $100 for a set of Philips Crystal Visions which are a almost white light with fantastic vision. John installed these on his Territory and I had them on my Corolla, and we have also put them on a swag of other friends cars.....no complaint and awesome feedback. If you want to spend extra, you could go to the Philips DIamond Vision..... My recommendation is the Crystal Visions, I know $100 is a fair wack of cash for a couple of small glass things, but by the time you buy a set of 100w, then pay money for upgrading your wiring etc, for peice of mind and also better quality, i'd recommend the crystals... Hope this helps... Azza :)
  20. Truth be known, you are still breaking the law even with Blue Tooth. THe law (at least in Qld, NSW & Vic) is "Using Mobile Device Whilst Operating A Motor Vehicle" meaning that even when using a complete handsfree device, you are still breaking the law. I was talking o a Police Officer up here the other day about it as with the increase in mobile phones (especially Nokia) which have the inbuilt Handsfree feature, and people are sitting them on their laps, top pockets etc, they are still using the mobile device whilst operating the motor vehicle. He went on to say that it is at the officer's discretion when he/she will apply the fine, and it sounds as though you were on the harsher end of the discretion, but it's still a law that can be enforced....
  21. Trav, if you still have my mobile number, send me a text so I have your's (cause I have changed phones since I had your number last) and I will get you an answer on Monday.
  22. I might try and get along although I won't have the Rav.... Anyone in the Murrumba Downs/Brackenridge area keen to give an Old Fart a lift :P
  23. Nice.....I just ordered mine.....NOT!!!!!!!! I wish.....you know it's a serios car when it gets it's own shipping crate rather than the standard Ro-Ro shipping methods used by other manufacturer's I do like it.. especially the wheels
  24. I got to drive the BULLIT both with stock and CES headers and I must say, the CES headers paired with the CES intake and Exhaust certainly makes for a nice drive.
