  1. Mine only happens when I am wearing my work (microfibre) suit pants. When wearing jeans, etc, nothing happens. Have been meaning to get a static strip though, anyone worked out the best place to mount one?
  2. Had mine done. Heaps better. :) Done at Gosford Toyota.
  3. I have the new one in my car, very impressed. I have a false floor in mine already, so I cannot say for sure if you would definately need one, however I am going to have to change my design slightly to allow exactly what you have mentioned, being able to get into your tools, etc. Seat cannot recline full amount with the box in. Oh and is very easy to remove. Scott.
  4. I wish I had the amount of money you guys have... :( Might need me a new job or something. Will there possibly be a new one in a few months time?
  5. Please don't... Seriously. If it's an oil cooler, you might be able to modify it to fit, but considering it's reasonably old, the stock one may be better anyway.
  6. Yeah totally realise that they're illegal. But how cool would they look and sound!!! Some 2 doors you can get away with them, but exhaust tips can't show or something. All technical crap.
  7. You only use 8mm thick mdf for a sub box? Hmm, ok then... No way I could be ****d designing a parcel shelf for it, i've done the fake floor thing as well. Don't vinyl it though. Gets damaged too quickly. When I get off my **** (again anyway) i'll be bogging it all up and 2pac'ing it. Nice and shiny. :)
  8. Fark... Looks modded, what had been done in engine bay? Stereo wiring can cause a lot of those situations, unfortunately. Good reminder for me to actually install my fire extinguisher into the car now. Good luck with insurance.
  9. Hit any gutters/potholes in the 9000km? Feels like the car shudders a bit, take it to a wheel place, get an alignment, they will tell you straight up whether there will be another issue. Things like that won't be under warranty, and they will quite possibly charge you more at toyota than if you go to an independant retailer.
  10. You haven't seen how many old people drive them here on the central coast... Oh and I think everyone needs to write what state they are in before they post, ie: How Spec Black posted.
  11. You'll probably find that a lot of workshops like that won't freely advertise where they are, more likely to be targeted for break ins that way...
  12. Liverpool Exhausts were mid last year developing their own exhaust for the sportivo, one of the guys there had one. Interesting to know whether anything came from it...
  13. how much will it cost? even just the rear kit would b cool B) Wouldn't it. That or the Tsport rear skirt from England.
  14. I had been thinking to myself for the last few months, wondering what the difference was, as one of the lotus' (exige?) was closer to 150 kw, read in Wheels magazine that it was a full open exhaust as well. Anyone ever looked into it? Or is it just an ECU change that results in the power difference, and obviously changed the lift point? And if it is, would it not possible to put a Lotus ECU in instead of an aftermarket one? (Besides the most likely of a rip off price to get one)
  15. No hope for the sportivo against most turbo cars. Best bet is for a win would be against a CA18 Auto 180. I find it funny to think all you guys talk about the peak power, but think through it all... a.) Peak power on the sportivo is high up, where as on the turbo cars it is generally in the mid range of revs. b.) Torque. Look at the torque on a sportivo compared to any other car. Need I say more? The cars are good, but not that good. I have always remembered the saying, power sells cars, torque wins races...
  16. Anyone been able to establish a price on that rear lip?
  17. Bit of a dodgy photochop that one, but hey... Yeah the height of the arches are an issue to make them look as though they are 'filled'. Needs 19's to fill them properly. /end ricer moment. Mine is dropped 2 inches all round, full load in the car, and the back looks sweet. Just loves scraping on everything when you do it though. :( Time for someone to put in air bags... ;)
  18. Fudgebottom: PM me your email address, and I will send the pictures that Dave sent me. If you look closely you can see the difference between the new design and the original box (as you can see in Silvabullits garage). Cheers. Scott.
  19. Yeah but have you seen the pictures of the new box? You can see the improvements made. I'll be getting one soon most definately. Most of my stereo is now done, so will be pretty complete. I just forgot how heavy my amps were... :( Good old removable amp racks! :D
  20. Yeah dude, they will work fine, the wires from the loom feed both without crossovers, so won't be an issue at all. You'll have fun though if you add aftermarket co-ax speakers for the mid bass and leave the splits in, bit of playing around involved. Get some aftermarket splits for it, will improve the quality a little, although the speakers there are reasonably efficient for stock speakers.
  21. Yeah, but what is better for Drivability and overall power? CES Exhaust or Muffler? Muffler $800.00 mark from memory, CES about $1100.00 correct? Anyone tried the CES exhaust with the Remus muffler?
  22. They do have 4wd Corollas, they are about 15 years old. :P Or try and get your habds on one that has been used for rally. Good luck being able to register it, but you could still have one.
  23. Aussie, great great great grandparents (give or take a few greats - both sides) came over in the early 1800's from Scotland. Immigrated I mean.
