  1. These are my results, with my 2nd run being the best: Run 1: 14.0 @ 80 mph - 2.2 60ft just held the brake with left foot and no stalling up. Run 2: 13.9 @ 99.9 mph - 2.1 60ft stalled it up to 2000RPM no traction control light flashing. Run 3: 14.1 @ 99.9 mph - 2.3 60ft stalled it up to 2500RPM traction control went nuts and killed the run but it pulled hard in the top end. Need to work on the launch. Looks like stalling at 1500RPM is the go as demonstrated very well by Daryl last night!
  2. I had a best of 13.9 on my 2nd run. This is the first time out with the TRD and I think better times can be done when I sort out how to get the best of the starts.
  3. I will meet you guys out there. I plan to get there early between 5.30-6pm.
  4. Im interested in a run on Wednesday night.
  5. I can only do the 13th this month otherwise I will have to wait until mid June as I will be overseas later this month/early next month.
  6. Does everyone realise that the drags tomorrow night is an actual racing series with qualifying etc. and not just a test & tune night. As it is a racing event, I'm going to have to give this a miss. Saturday the 13th is a test & tune night which I would be keen to do.
  7. If you are looking for new plugs Shannon, just get the Denso platinum plugs from Toyota. They are not very expensive $10-15 each considering they last 100,000kms.
  8. Double check inside your distributor just in case you have excess oil in there from the leak you have.
  9. 2) Is for external CD changer. Can also be used for Vais SoundLinq ipod/mp3 interface adapters.
  10. I'm a maybe at this stage, will confirm later in the week.
  11. 36 psi (250 kpa) front and back is what I used to run on my gen5 Sportivo. The tyre placard will only give you the minimum recommended tyre pressures.
  12. I also used the original mounts for the bushes like Daryl did. There has to be something loose for a sway bar to have a knock. I have had mine for quite a few months now and no problems.
  13. Sooooo..... What happened?? Who won?? How may HP/kW did you get??
  14. I cannot definitely say yes as I have not tried it but it connects the same as the other units that they have for Toyota's. Maybe give them a call this week and see what they have to say. I would be giving it a go after having used the ipod interface they make. As I posted earlier it works very well and is plug & play!
  15. I have had the mast replaced by Toyota when mine broke. You could probably DIY as you have it apart. I believe that the mast is available without having to buy the whole power antenna assembly.
  16. As I understand it in 'D' the transmission works with fuzzy logic so the software tunes to your style of driving. In 'S' the software program is set and only has one mode which is a 'Sport' mode.
  17. Are you wanting to use an ipod or just a generic mp3 player? Here is the manufactures site for the SoundLinq www.vaistech.com/ I have seen these work on the factory nav in a Kluger. There are three models for Toyotas, one is dedicated for ipods which gives good ipod controls and the second does ipod and has an auxiliary input, the third also has a video input. Northfield Car Sound use these in there installs.
  18. Try this site www.mp3yourcar.com.au I have the SoundLinq ipod adaptor in my Aurion. Works great and is honestly plug and play as it will plug into the CD changer socket on the back of the headunit.
  19. I do know that if you are in Aus on a holiday you can claim back the GST on items as long as the tax invoice is greater then $300. need to fill out a form etc. May also be possible if you purchased a car because the tax invoice will definitely be greater then $300, but you will probably need to pay the GST first. Best bet would to find a dealer who can help.
  20. I leave mine in D unless I am crawling in peak hour traffic or I want to have fun in a mountain run.
  21. The higher octane fuels are better for your engine as the internal parts eg: valves, pistons will be cleaner as there are more cleaning agents in the fuel. Keeps your engine running better longer. My gen4 V6 has only had 5-6 tanks of normal 91 octane since I bought it new in 2000. Absolutely clean inside the intake ports and the valves look like new. The 1MZ ecu's do appear to be able to take advantage of the higher octane fuels, as you really notice the difference when it tries to retune for the lower octane, it is ping city!
  22. How about this one Eclipse AVN600 It was the first result from a google search!
  23. Yah a question that has you stumped Adam! The 02-06 is the gen 5 and gen 5.5 (late 05 update also known as MY06). The model range goes Altise, Altise Sport/Limited (depends on what specials Toyota was doing), Ateva, Sportivo and Azura. The Altise Sport is a special version for a promotion so it is really just a cut price Sportivo without the Sportivos extras. It has the suspension, some 16inch alloy wheels and the exhaust from the Sportivo packaged in the Altise body.
  24. One advantage if you can get them is that they are a straight bolt on. There is actually a large number of pads available for the TRD as it shares its brakes with some HSV's and a C5 Corvette. Some of which can be very low dust, but still a performance brake pad. Just for general knowledge I have so far found that for the TRD the fronts are pad no. 7599 and the rears appear to be DB1376. There is also another rear pad that could fit DB1332 even though it is a different shape with greater pad area.
  25. I have found that the Red Book trade in values to be a little high when doing 2 vehicle purchases in the last 12 months. Seem to be about 2-3k higher then what a dealer will actually do a deal at.
