  1. It will fit your gen5 as well as it does an Australian gen4. I had fitted one of these superchargers to my old gen4 before I sold it to and fitted it for STYLSH on his gen4.5. I was going to install it on a gen5.5 Sportivo I had bought for that very reason but then I was able to get a TRD Aurion instead. Being a kit designed for a LH drive car the main issue is that the brake master cylinder needs to be modified for a remote reservoir and in the case of gen4.5 and gen5/5.5 the PCV needs a simple mod to clear the supercharger. Other then that it is a fairly easy install.
  2. The only people able to buy parts for the TRD are TRD owners. There is a reason why you need a VIN. Under Australian law a car manufacture has to produce and stock and certain amount of spares for the cars they produce/sell. As the TRD's are no long manufactured the spare parts allocation has probably be set and stocked. If we use our VIN for someone else to use there will come a time when those who have spent a considerable sum of money to purchase the TRD in the first place will no longer be able to get spares. Besides what contribution have you made to this forum so far? All you have done asked is for someone to try and get around the system that is put in place to protect MY investment in a TRD. If you want a TRD kit so bad do some reading as I know that there is a thread in the Aurion section that has a Malaysian TRD replica kit. Good luck!
  3. This coming Wednesday gates open at 5.30pm and runs to start from 6pm. Details Here!
  4. Here are some pics of the TRD grill. Hope these help. Sorry about these last 3 being out of focus it was the best the camera could do this close up
  5. A TRD Aurion uses the same panel air filter as a normal Aurion. There is also TRD air filter ( which I am using ) it is available from online US Toyota parts dealers.
  6. I can take some tomorrow morning if that helps.
  7. OMG. Please, please, please come out. I haven't heard a good whining supercharger in ages. Yes Anthony we need to see the manual conversion!
  8. Yes they are but as far as I know there is not a recall or anything for this, so to me $45 for the pipe is going to be cheap insurance because if it goes and you dont stop the engine in time a rebuild is going to be expensive and most of all very inconvenient.
  9. A lot of cursing and swearing always helps :D The pipe will be full of oil but I think that will be all that will drain out. Hopefully the power steering pump is not in the way because I dont think there is access over the back of the engine.
  10. I picked my VVTi oil pipe up this afternoon. I was reading a link from TN the other day about a Rav4 and they went through the wheel arch to get at the fitting on the back of the head. Looks like I may be doing the same thing as you this weekend Daryl.
  11. Evan, it is not even 24 hours since you first posted. I'm sure you will get more responses tonight.
  12. I dont think there is but if you help everybody else get them and you have an accident one day there may not be any left to fix your car or even mine for that matter.
  13. I have one of the new SL2i interfaces and it works in CD-MP3 mode. You will just need to set up the playlist so there is a maximum of 99 songs, but you are able to have 99 playlists. It will keep working and playing your music if you have over 99 songs but once it hits 100+ the text gets out of sync. It works very well and you have pretty good control of the iPod.
  14. Dinner was great, I second SBs suggestion that we try to do it monthly. Better then standing out in the cold!
  15. You forgot to mention I was in the Yaris..... :P:P Northy when you were in the Yaris you held me up :D The time Im talking about you had the SS
  16. point 10. "If you’re driving a Toyota TRD Aurion, make sure you’ve said your goodbyes and completed your will kit before heading off!" The only person I have held up over Nebo is Northy!!
  17. Had this happen in my gen4 Camry during the extended warranty and Toyota replaced it with a new one.
  18. Im a definate for dinner, but a maybe on the Nebo run.
  19. Bought some new brake pads ready for the next service in a couple of weeks
  20. Sorry to but in, but I've been getting similar issues with my 1997 MCV20 Camry and like you said, it sounds like it's coming from the top of the suspension set up i.e. possibly the strut hats. How much would they cost the replace (roughly), can I do it myself and where can I get a pair? Thanks :) I have a new pair and bearings sitting in my garage if you are interested.
  21. The 3500S has a plain grey leather shift lever so that matches up to what the dealer is selling.
  22. I was thinking of parking in the Roma St Parklands like we did for the annual meet last year when doing the Krispy Kremes pickup.
  23. Is this what I have PMed you about? I may have new tires depending on if I can squeeze in the time to get them. As for the other thing, I'll be on the search for those bits that we discussed so I can get it all up and running whenever convenient. I cant seem to wear my Dunlops out! 44k and still going. Let me know when you have the bits.
  24. Some local council refuse/waste stations will take it if in a suitable container.
