  1. Update: Gave the Hawk pads their first mountain run last night and I am extremely happy with the improvement over the OEM pads. After a little bit of initial fade the performance of the pads stabilised and continued to perform very well even with repeated heavy down hill brake applications. I had done this same mountain run with the OEM pads and had to back off completely as the pads just went away and didnt seem to recover at all after the first few heavy brake applications. Note: I have been using Penrite 525 super dot 4 brake fluid since the first brake fluid change at 30k and was used during both mountain runs mentioned above.

  3. They do have a blue and red lights for a temp indication. Any aftermarket type gauge could be fitted either and electric or mechanical. The hardest part will be locating a suitable place on the engine for the temp fitting.
  4. I cant answer that one but on the gen 4 & 5 Camrys you could BUT the amount of extra time and aggravation it would cause trying to do it without removing the plenlum (upper intake manifold) was just not worth in my opinion.
  5. Well the offset is +46.5mm and the wheels are 19x8 standard with 245 tyres. Now 245mm is just over 9.5 inches so in theory you would be able to fit a wheel up to 9.5 inches wide and keep the offset around +45mm without rubbing. I have had a look in the past before I sourced another set of gunmetal TRD wheels (I didnt like the silver wheels on a silver car) and there is some nice looking ones out there. An 8.5 inch wheel would be a better fit for the 245 tyres. The issue will be getting an offset that wont cause rubbing. This link has been put up before but is good for comparing offsets www.1010tires.com
  6. I am going to help Andrew with the install. We have been talking for a little while about FI so when I saw the s/c on Auscam I gave him the heads up.
  7. You can get Enkei etc that will fit the TRD just depends on how deep your pockets are. Even Simmons wheels will make a set for around $1000each. Just try and stay close to the 45mm offset.
  8. so dave, time to source an E153 then? Maybe a bit later when the warranty runs out! I have thought about it. Also the E153 was fitted to the gen 4 & 5 V6 Camrys.
  9. ^^Im just a better driver :D plus Im more mature then you are so there! Na Na NANA :P
  10. The gear lever/shifter cables and pedals can come from the gen 6 Camry Sportivo as well as the lower part of the centre consul. Will also need the hand brake lever from the gen 6 Camry to replace the foot operated park brake in the Aurion.
  11. On plus side of LEDs is the fact that they illuminate quicker than an normal bulb giving the person behind you more time to react and not rearrange the back of your Aurion.
  12. The original TRD pads did squeal towards the end of their life and Ash (Secaboy) has also experienced it with his. I do get some squeal with the Hawk pads but like Daryl I didnt use any grease when installing the new pads. I have since done it to the rears and will also do the fronts when I have the front wheels off.
  13. I bought mine from here http://www.vsport.com.au/ This a thread I started for the TRD Aurion on brake options http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...showtopic=23687
  14. The tank IS 70 litres in capacity. The fuel light comes on when there is approximately 15 litres left which is also when the distance to empty will display 50km to empty. I have found that the fuel consumption accuracy can be out by 0.5 l/100km.
  15. I have changed pads to Hawk Ceramic Performance. A lot less dust and I feel that they also are a better pad all round then the TRD original pads which are PBR performance compound pads. Hopefully they give better rotor life as well.
  16. Gabe I think Ariel aka RelishGTP has your old kit, Anthony aka STYLSH has my old kit which I had sourced new from the US many years ago.
  17. make sure they are from an ACV36 (4cyl) as the V6 seats have air bags fitted. They will NOT just bolt in. You need to disassemble the seat and fit the base and back rest to the gen 4 rails. The seats are the same shape, which is better then what is fitted to the gen 4.
  18. This is a view from the PA Hospital looking at Brisbane CBD taken not long ago
  19. Dont forget to check the coolant level this morning.
  20. Glad you are enjoying the boosted feeling Evan!
  21. Have fun tomorrow guys. I will be having fun of a different kind under the bonnet of a silver Corolla.
  22. You may need to take it somewhere so it can be put on a hoist and the boots removed and have the rack inspected. I think it is very ordinary that Southside decided it was easier to blame an aftermarket part rather then actually find the issue.
