  1. 1. Supercharged TRD 2. chicaboo :( 3. DJKOR :( 4. SupaTouring 5. I will probably meet you somewhere on Beaudesert Rd/Mt Lindsay Hwy around Browns Plains area if thats ok. Either the Shell at Callamvale or the BP just off the highway at Hillcrest.
  2. I have had my whole dashboard replaced (had warped in the sun near the drivers side tweeter grill. This had happened while in holding yard pryor to delivery - 06/07 build and 04/08 delivery) and had the rattle fix done at the same time and it has been great every since. I believe that it is only the piece under the steering column that is removed as the intermediate shaft goes from just above the brake pedal through the firewall and to the steering rack.
  3. Yeah mate, a bit out of luck on that one. They could change the hose if they wanted to, but from what David (SupaTouring) and I remember, the rubber hose part is actually shorter so they would have to cut the replacement hose. That's if they were to do it. I remember the meet after I fitted my new oil line. I was talking to David (after he mentioned that he picked up a metal pipe as well) and we were discussing the DIY. He then popped his bonnet and we were in the process of looking how to do it then I noticed the entire line was going in a different direction. I have also posted in the original oil line thread, but there is a replacement oil line/pipe/hose coming for the TRD's. Notifications will be sent out in the mail, I was informed of this when collecting my car this afternoon. EDIT: Forgot to add earlier that I also had the intermediate shaft replaced today. Soooooo much better without the knock!
  4. When collecting my TRD after its 60k service I was told that a pipe/hose replacement is being tested for the TRD's VVTi oil line (which as stated in this thread is different to the N/A 2GR oil line) and that notifications should be out soon.
  5. There are companies that specialise in painting the interior plastics. It is nearly possible to get it changed to whatever you wish. http://www.mad-coatings.com/
  6. I have bought 3 new ('00, '05 & '08) and 1 ex demo ('08) vehicles in the last 9 years and all have been delivered with a full tank. This is also from 4 different Qld dealers, 2 in Brisbane, 1 Gold Coast and 1 Sunshine Coast.
  7. ATW HP will be very close to flywheel kW due to drivetrain loses. 1HP equals approx 0.75kW and you can expect loses to be between 20-25%.
  8. Only 28 more pages to equal Evans car thread!!!
  9. Yeah mine has come back. It doesnt do it until Ive done at least 10k since the last service and it is only now and then. It is a lot better on the Penrite oil compared what the dealership supplied. Going to try Penrite Sin this service which is next week.
  10. You are a nice piece of work, I am very NEW to chatrooms and as i felt so styrongly that Toyota was holding out i joined this forum with info, but was unsure of how to download the file. Well, here it is so I hope in all sincerety that it may help some TRD owners as Toyota can be very secretive. Very helpful rubin, thanks for posting this info.
  11. Still havent got a tune or mod plate yet have you!
  12. The "kit" has items for removing the wheel nuts if the nut hex is a different size to standard as was the case with my gen4 Camry with the GTP 17x7 wheels. The nuts for those were 19mm instead of 21mm so a wheel brace was included along with a piece of felt to protect the wheel when in the boot and I think it also came with another bolt to hold the spare wheel down in the boot. So really the kit is to give you any extra items to remove or store the accessory wheels from/in the car. Toyota accessory wheels that I have bought have always come with wheel nuts, centre caps and valves
  13. Yes I have had the same issues as Daryl has stated above. I now use a large insulated (electicians) flat blade screw driver to remove the centre caps as the plastic helps to protect the rims paint work. They have to be the worst design that I have seen for a centre cap and require quite a lot of force to pop out. I also remove them before I have the car serviced so if the wheel is damaged I have only myself to blame.
  14. Ash you do know that the original wheels have DataDot on the inside edge with the VIN details.
  15. As my 60k service is getting close I dropped in to Motorama at Hillcrest to organise having the TRD checked so parts could be ordered if needed for the service. After a short conversation with the service advisor and the workshop foreman about the symptoms it also appears that I have the intermediate shaft spline issue. So parts are now on order and will hopefully be available by the time the 60k service is due.
  16. Buy a kit from ebay and get a local auto sparky to install it

  18. If you have paid for the extended warranty and are not going to use it it is possible to cancel the policy (because it is an insurance policy really) and receive a refund. My understanding is that as long as the vehicle is serviced at the intervals and requirements in the service book you will NOT void/forfeit any part of your warranty or extended warranty. Using non genuine parts may cause issues if there is a failure of some sort, but getting a trusted mechanic to service your vehicle is your choice and Australian law protects that right. I personally would just insist on a genuine oil filter rather than another brand.
  19. The 'Service Advantage' is a Toyota/Toyota dealer thing where the dealer is subsidised by Toyota oz so that dealer servicing is more attractive to new car buyers. Where are you located? Just asking because I dont know of any near 'In front of PC'
  20. I had glandular fever 6 years ago and I was out of action for almost 6 weeks. Even after that it took a month or two to feel really well again. Take care of yourself Daryl and we will see you when your better.
