  1. http://www.fulcrumsuspensions.com.au/deale...stributors.html Check for your closest dealer. Call them up and ask how long. The bushes aren't going to be that expensive in comparison to the labour to replace the lot. Most of the time they're going to ask "Why?" - half the time they don't need to be replaced unless they're damaged.
  2. I believe all Gen 3 CSis, whether V6 or I4 had a tacho on them... my 94 CSI I4 had one. It SHOULD be interchangeable, just make sure you got the right engine. if not, you might wanna just invest in an aftermarket one mate.
  3. Bloody hell... have to jump through hoops to get this sorted huh? Really, Toyota should just replace the bootlid with one that suits the car. There's bound to be one that has it. Toyota shouldn't be paying for someone else to spray the bootlid... Toyota should be replacing it with one that suits the car.. it's obvious they've swapped it before you bought it.
  4. Well.. that sucks! Brand new cars shouldn't have that kinda problem... maybe a legitimate fault with the transmission?
  5. RSB will improve it outta sight. Autobarn sell them for around $220 for a Whiteline RSB (P/N: BTR36). Have had lots of people say that it'd be the single best mod that you can ever do for ride handling. Next would be the shocks, but may as well do shocks and springs at the same time mate. You CAN install this yourself too... if you know what you're doin :)
  6. http://www.wilkinsonsuspension.com.au They install coilovers all the time - they're Australian distributors for Ksports too from memory.
  7. ^^ agree Akuma... At the end of the day mate - you pay for what you get. An immobiliser with window sensors and the rest will be your best bet. I have used Mongoose before - they're just as good as Viper, if not better in my opinion. Much easier to use. I had an M60 or something like that? Yeah, great stuff. Most car retail shops sell these... normally they can do the install as well. We have places here like WOW Sigt & Sound, JB HiFi etc etc that can sell you these and install them as well with warranty.. there's gotta be something like that over there mate. Best thing of all is that we get a cheaper Premium with our insurance if we have a deterrent of this kind You'd be looking around 500-600 installed for a nice unit that'll stop lil ****s from breaking into your car :P
  8. That follows suit to the Gen 4s as well.. my grandparents have an 01 Conquest and have to do the same thing.
  9. I KNOW you have, but you're on the other side of the planet and besides, Dave knows EXACTLY what is needed for the Aussie Camry so yeah.
  10. I'd be excited too... you getting Dave to help you out?? I'd highly suggest it if you haven't. He's only done it like 3 times or something lol
  11. Damn! Yet another S/C'ed Cam in Brissy :P Should cruise with TOCAU and Auscam when you get a chance too :P Farkin sweet!! Adam, when the hell you gonna save your fkin money??? lol... head over and help install Andrew's Charger gawd dang! hahaha
  12. Didn't the Gen 5s get it here? Or that just the 2AZFEs?
  13. How can no one have insurance? Don't you people have CTP? - If someone hits you from the rear REGARDLESS - then they're at fault. They should tell you which insurance company they're through. - I dunno anything about this greenslip stuff, so dunno what that entitles you to... - If they hit you and they have no insurance, you can legally sue them for the damages. If YOU actually had PROPER insurance and they didn't have any at all, then your insurance company would sue their ***** after your car's been sorted out. I only know this coz my last Camry had a similar scenario. Some lady rear-ended a 4WD, which then ricocheted into the back of mine at a set of lights. I had 3rd party, the 4WD had full comp, but the person that caused the accident didn't have any insurance at all. Either way, my insurance company contacted the person who caused the accident and asked her to sign a form stating that she was responsible for the accident (I had police reports and everything... she wasn't gonna get away with it). Once the form was signed, my car was repaired. If I had full comp, my car would have been repaired - no questions asked... regardless of whether the person had caused the accident had insurance or not. RACQ (my insurance company at the time) said that they technically sue the person who caused the accident. That's what I know anyway.
  14. Sounds like a nice car - you might want to ask the Moderators to move this into the appropriate thread. Is there a chance you could load pics up? I'd love to see what this car looks like... also what price you asking?
  15. ^^ Agreed with Anthony above... Dave is THE person to talk to. He installed his own on his Gen 4, one for Ariel (Relish GTP) and has place one on Anthony's Gen 4 now. I've read info off TN that suggests that Auto and TRD charger = potential tranny destruction, plus not much power gain because of the shifts anyway. You're best off asking Adamn (ASG14) from Connecticut to see if he knows of anyone that he can vouch for to sell you a supercharger. At the end of the day, 3k ain't bad to get a charger, even if it is 2nd hand. You'll never find one for sale here in Australia.
  16. Hahaha! Right... just coz I don't have my head buried in someone's engine bay each day doesn't mean I don't know what I'm doing. I at least know how to do the basics... replacing oil & filter, flushing radiator, replacing spark plugs and dizzy... cleaning IAC... etc etc. I don't know much about cars at all really... lol This is why I'm employed to fix PABX systems and manage IT networks and PCs :) I pay someone to service the car for ~100 bucks... someone pays me much more to sort out systems :P
  17. I reckon you'll find a fair few people around here that wouldn't get their car touched by Toyota at all, especially in Melbourne. At the end of the day, they're still mechanics. They just might get bulletins for known issues, but that doesn't mean that they're going to look at or fix the issue. If it were me, I'd be taking it to a local garage or mechanic that has a GOOD reputation. It's not hard to find out who's the best at what they do... you can't advertise on that kind of thing. I've asked different people who they use and I always get good feedback from that person. On the Sunshine Coast here, we have a thing called "WOMF" - Word Of Mouth Forum (Other regions have this too) - you can see what people say about different businesses and holiday areas... best places to eat, etc etc.
  18. Ahhh shut up ya Yankee prick LOL! I wish we could get parts that cheap here... all those parts are normally imported from the States anyway. Valve Cover = Rocker Cover for all that didn't understand this poor American's accent LOLOLOLOL!! Mind you, I wouldn't mind doing the same thing to mine too
  19. I done the exact same... :) 70L as per my lil manual. If you wanna be VERY pedantic about it call, I think you can get another 500ml in there to fill it to the brim.
  20. 20 bucks? Hehe... dreamin. Double that, plus shipping and you're probably on the right track. a TRD oil filter ain't gonna do much difference compared to a normal genuine filter anyway... prob only worth using the TRD stuff if you got high pressure oil system or use the car on the dragstrip.
  21. Yup... I get the same thing mate. Mind you, you prob still had a bit more to go before you completely ran outta fuel.
  22. My bad... reading too much cr@p on TN :(
  23. Flathead screwdriver works for me... pry it off from one of the ends from memory.
  24. Looks like plug n play to me... read the reviews though. Would be interesting to see what it actually does though... I'd suggest start a new topic with it if you wanna know more about it.
  25. Hmmm... if the TRD charger can fit into a Camry on the 1MZs, then they should be able to fit to the 3VZs too... You'd have custom make an adaptor plate onto the engine to mount the M40 TRD charger... I believe someone in the US did this. Someone's made an adaptor plate for the M60 charger, which I think needs a small intercooler... whereas the M40 doesn't need one.
