  1. Hi guys Can anyone tell me which dealership in SE Melbourne offers courtesy loan car when you take car in for servicing? Thx
  2. The light gray plastic slab with the word "kluger" on the tailgate is looking uglier recently. does anyone know what's the best way to paint it black (my car is black)? spray can? they aren't so bad looking on the KXS as they're in darker shade of gray
  3. Never give them ur current car until delivery of the new car..
  4. found some pics frm US forum: not too bad... but the line of led's could look better in white, and they can be DRL as well
  5. they look great on X5.. but yea on the kluger, that remains to be seen
  6. Reading the Aurion section led to me to search for Kluger's angel eyes Link Now sure how to source them though.. Quality is also suspect
  7. Toyota has a better V8 - 5.7l / 285kw / 546nm - but its on lexus lx570 the ultimate luxury version of lc200
  8. Guys how do you explain the Prius problem & the solution then? Toyota had in the past DENIED that the Pruis have any problems in its braking system, beating around the bush when questioned. Then.... Toyota factory had seemingly in secret implemented a fix for 2010-built Prius. Prius rolled out since Jan 2010 would have an upgraded software. Finally on Feb 5, Toyota finally admitted there was a problem in the Prius and offered the same production fix.. Looking at the events chronologically, I would say Toyota KNEW of the problem and this could be as early as last yr at least? For it to implement a fix in the production line in time for January 2010.
  9. How much was the fine & demerit pts?
  10. I am no engineer, but looking at the metal piece that goes to the back of the pedal.. Is it supposed to limit the pedal being depressed excessively such as flooring it hard?maybe the people who reported the problem are petrol heads
  11. Sat in both. As far as comfort is concerned CX-9 wins hands down. The 3rd row seats are proper in a sense that they're contoured as in the other seats in the car. Kluger has a single piece flat bench. Backrest is pretty stiff and hard. Lucky we don't have to use it much.
  12. The difference is Toyota's recent stuff-up could get people killed as it had here
  13. The only reason for going with a Toyota seems to be diminishing with more recalls coming.. My heart sank for one moment when I first read abt the latest pedal fiasco that involves the Highlander in the US.. and got some relief after knowing only 2010-built US models are affected. And now there're news the prius brakes are being investigated. I bought a Toyota for none other than its reputation for reliability.. Keeping my fingers crossed that my 2008 Japan-built Kluger is "OK" for the next 4-5 yrs.
  14. This is the product to combat the problem.. cheap & very effective. but dont apply it on the steering wheel http://www.armorall.com/products/view_prod...dex=protectants
  15. Do it this weekend, pls.. Thank you.
  16. For a FWD, a fatter driver might be able to do a clean launch easier.. b'coz his fats help push the front wheel down and minimizing weight transfer to rear Time to put on weight
  17. When is this expected to take place? Good luck!
  18. Weird its only me feeling this way.. I currently have the Euro Gen-1 and Toyota Kluger (similar build quality to the Aurion?) that replaced my old Corolla. Every button & knob in the Euro has a nicer feel. Each button on the stereo pushes in with the same force, whereas on the Toyota.. there's some inconsistency, etc. The way & the sound doors shut, again, the Euro feels more solid even than the Kluger. I dont mean to bash a Toyota in a Toyota forum.
  19. What u can expect frm the Accord Euro is high level of build quality, especially on the inside.. every piece of plastics has a nice touch to it. But yes its a much smaller car so if value is your thing then get the Aurion.
  20. OKK.. finally watched the video. Yes, quite shameful for the FWD Kluger. A few observations: - The Kluger was the first to attempt the climb.. Being the first may be have advantage or disdvantage depending on the soil composition. It could be that the upper layer was loose with more compact layer below. The kluger scrapped off the loose bits so the others could climb easier. :P Ok maybe this doesnt make sense but I m just trying to offer some consolations to the FWD Kluger. - I believe the Kluger's problem is with its height & weight distribution. The higher centre of gravity tilts the vehicle on an incline.. This lifts up the front of the vehicle and further decreasing front wheels traction. The other FWD vehicles have lower centre of gravity than the Kluger. The Kluger's 2nd attempt at the climb by reversing was successful. Same reason as to why RWD are better than FWD at towing.
  21. Have u been flying around corners? my kluger has done 40k and the tyres are still alright.. i reckon they're still good for another 20k Mine is KXR with the higher profile 245/65 R17 btw, so dont know if that makes a difference
