lol my mum had a crash on epping road recently in november..at the caltex/woolies service station...the other guy was at fault bt looks like insurance is goona ping us too coz we had no evidence :(...oh wells!! at least u got ur car back on the road

thanks Hiro are these the only 2 celicas that used the 5sfe engine?? and would it be just a simple drop in of my engine for everything to work right?? or would i need to do some engine bay rearrangements?? cheers!

yep ur spot on abt the exhaust brackets...i got a loose one now makes an annoying vibrating sound when i go on higher revs.....SOOO ANNOYING...im gonna ask the mechanic to check the engine mounts i dont think suspension is a prob...btw i heard broken engine mounts can be a strain on the transmission....is that true? can it screw up my transmission if not will it screw up anythin?? thnks!

from a logical perspective what u have said stands true .... however from the bottom $ perspective its going to cost them more money doing wat u just said that it will if they simply get excess from all parties involved and make the money by listing it as an at fault accident. My brother went through this same thing where he was stationary on the side of the road and a 4x4 literally drove over the front corner of the car ..... at first the dude claim @ fault which he was becuz we were sitting there then afterwards he claimed we were pulling out hence why he drove over it ..... after going backwards n forth the insurance wanted to ping both @ fault .... we were like no way and after a crap load of arguing they decided not to ping us with the excess ..... however we were both insured with NRMA so it was a double win from their perspective if we both just payed. In this scenario if they needed to investigate etc etc that extra ppl employed + more time to push claims through + + + + all these reasons = more $'s they need to spend .... when they could just short change the whole process and get the $'s anyway ...... I'm not saying its right but this is big business and its about bottom $ not logic for ur customers. Just keep fighting it and keep bringing up the police report .... if u were @ a servo there should be video evidence if its not 2 late ..... xoom sorry to hear about what happened to ur bro...its suck aye...well yeah we will keep fighting it with the police report and yeah we went to the servo but they wouldnt let us look at the footage without police authority and angelo sorry to hear about ur incident too...i think we can conclude from this that insurance companies are just big money driving suckers... thanks for all the help so far...we will try our best Cheers!!

hey guys just wandering which celica model or models used a 5s-fe engine a setup similar to the 3rd gen camry (i got a 95 camry)..i was planning to drop my engine into a celica that has done alot of Ks(thats if its cheap), coz my 5s-fe engine has only done like 100,000ks... Thanks guys!

well presara at least we know now it isnt just your aurion...awww but i thought aurion was suppsd to have been built well :( and i was gonna save up and buy the first gen aurions when i had enough money....yeah i think silver and tayles are spot on...i got a 95 camry and havent had any major problems as yet...got one now coz of an accident i had early on...bt thts my fault...lol...nevertheless AURION still leaves FORD and HOLDEN eating dust

i dont think the engine moves that much when idle...btw the car has been in an accident, i went to a mechanic before and he said he couldnt hear it, but i sure can...

actually tayles we filed a police report on the arvo of the accident...and went to insurance later tht week...but stupid insurance company doesnt want to look at the report neither do they want to see both his and our damages...i mean wouldnt it be easier if they look at both of the damages and conclude who was at fault??? thanks guys

im probably guessing thats a loose screw or bolt..or maybe its one of the brackets holding the exhaust system...has the car scrapped the ground ever?? just like anything its probably best to see your mechanic...but considering its a new car i would go straight to the toyota dealers and get them to check it out for you...

it only seems to happen when i accelerate and release the gas pedal...and the so called "knock" sounds seems to be coming underneath the engine and btw yeah i have tried the Premium fuel i dont think its detonation coz the cars fine accelerating up the hill... thanks for the help so far

hey guys...sorry but right now im ****** off ...so im gonna let a bit of steam off...so i can go abt my day ...Back in november my mum was driving our car and some idiot in a mazda drove into her while she was trying to exit the service station...it wasnt a big crash..he only had the side of his car scratched but my mum had got the brute of the accident coz she was stationary...corner light was broken bumper was shifted and driver side panel was dented with a bit of paint coming off it..Well i wasnt there bt supposdly the guy who crashed into her was in a hurry so he was ready to take a runner but he also hit another guy so he was stopped..Well my mum was all shaken up considering it was her first accident she was ever involved in...But the guy at first admitted it was his fault, so my mum didnt take down any witnesses...but later that day when she called the guy up...he said that "he was at the exit first"?? okay well say if he "Was" then y did he hit a stationary car???...so this guy obviously told his insurance a different story and there was a dispute for like a month..and today i decided to call up to find out the resolution, and the insurance company wants an excess of 550 from my mum!! Now this has really ticked me off, sure the other guy was a good BSter, but im no smash repair expert bt from the looks of my mums car i can tell some1 else has hit her...coz theres a dent on the driver side front panel and the bumper has shifted towards the left of the vehicle...Sigh sorry guys for ranting here but i think this lil accident is a wake up call to change insurance companies....and thanks for listening..have a nice day

hey i have a xv10 95 2.2L Front Wheel drive toyota camry, which seems to make a knock noise after i accelerate. This happens normally when i accelerate slowly and release the gas pedal.. The car has done about 100,000kms. I think i might know wat it might be...but im worried it might be more than that... Thanks Guys

hey guys i was just wandering whats the lowest set of coil springs i can put on a stock 95 camry shocks? Im gonna prob get JUMBOZ springs as for they r quite cheap and wld u recommend using bumpstops? cheers!
