im due for a service newyz so im gonna get the engine mounts and exhaust checked...shld get this all done by the end of this month...cheers mate...havent had ne major issues with this car till now soo yeah its very reliable...thts wat i luv abt em....bt i also have only got like 104,000ks on the clock

well all i can think of is tht coz manual is basically U changing gears it always gettin abit of wear tear...while an automatic uses smoother transmission and changes at the right revs...thts y its sounds less noiser and lets not forget u got some clutch work to do on ur manual!!! i aint no expert jst my opinion i might be wrong and im sure some1 here knows way more than me...bt i rather own a manual over an auto ne day....lets u choose how u want to drive and the fact tht u got more control with the speeds u choose!

badboyz is right...and he always seems to be....even tho toyota cars can take a good beatin...the calibra has a more powerful engine (i think its a v6) thats alot more potential than a 1.8L...if u want to get a toyota i wld rec. one of the following...mr2, supra, celica, soarer or corrolla....good luck mate bt if it was between ur calibra and Paseo i wld stick with wat u got now!!

no probz mate...its not a big problem....yeah it could be a button or either a faulty valve tht lets air thru when opened and when fully closed isnt allowed to let ne air thru...it may be stuck or blocked..i aint no expert im sure some1 here cld shed abit more light on this keisari looks like he knows something..but either way it shldnt be a major concern...it cld be a bonus in the winter season :P ...good luck with it man

thnx mate once again...yeah i think i will sell this camry and get a well maintained st184...and considering u said an engine is like 2gs i dont think thts too expensive...hopefully the engine the st184 comes with will last me awhile before i need a new engine....ta mate for all the help ill keep u posted when i get my st184

hey bud since u were such a big help....im gonna give my thoughts on ur lil prob....well this is new to me never heard of this problem...firstly wat option did u set for u air flow (like is it set to outside air or inside air?)....try sliding it to the other option and do the same thing and see if u get the same hot air....and do u get this "hot air" when the engine is cold or after u have driven for awhile??

btw...i do like the look of the st184 way better than the st204 or ne other celicas...esp the headlights...it wld look mean with a nice bodykit....bt the prob is its age....considering the one im lookin is like 1990 which is like 18 yrs old im worried abt all the mechanical probs ill be facin later on down the track...and i jst want to beef it up and not worry abt ne mechanical probs....

thanks mate for the advice...i think ill be doin tht soon..im gettin new engine mounts into my cam and then ill sell it and see how much anyone wants for it...i have seen some st204 with bodykits for like 8gs but they have done alot of Ks (like 250ks+) my camrys only done 103ks so thts y i thght engine swap wld be good coz i wldnt have to worry abt doin a rebuild netime soon...bt like u said there could be complications with the swap...so im gonna take ur advice...thanks again.... and no u didnt make me unsure abt nething...u just opened up another option and it was a better alternative...THANKS BRO!

the wrecker dude said they open back up on the 21st so i guess on the 21st...im also looking for a ST204 coz its alot newer and if i find tht cheap i will def opt to get the st204 coz my cams 95.... thats a while to wait, well if your can also get a st204 that would be the better option cos its newer and all, i just personally prefer the st184 look. yeah i like the look of the ST184 too bt its jst a lil older and my cam is built in 1995 so i think the st204 wld be better....and i heard the older 5sfe had less KW than the newer 5sfe engine....correct me if am wrong...

yeah i do have a mechanic...i was thinking at first to go the wreckers and check it out for myself...if it passes my test...then ill get the mechanic to check it out for me....yeah i dont want to have a project car to work with....

meh i used to care about wat i eat...used to eat just veges and some lean meat...no chockies or lollies or nethin with too much sugar...bt i occasionally had some jelly for recovery after a big work out...newyz i jog everyday...do 100 push ups and 120 situps and hit the gym 3 times a week....but now i eat nething bt i still do my jog pushups and situps and gym....so if u love ur food eat wat u want as long as u burn it off...and guys its worth lookin fit (if u didnt guess its easier to pull the chicks :P)...newyz if ur new to exercise i recommend wat JJcruzer says...walk an hour a day....then i would gradually build it to a slow paced jog and then a lil faster everyweek...and before u know it chicks r checkin u out :P....good luck and now im waiting for my FOOD :D ...hope my GF brings me something nice....!!! oh yeah HAPPY NEW YEAR....if u want to lose the weight u shld make it ur new years resolution,!!!!!!

well im hoping to get a car from the wreckers it says everythings good with it...its a ST184...i mean considering its at the wreckers i aint expecting much bt the fotos look promising...im jst hoping good interior..chasis, gearbox CV joints suspension..lol basically everything except engine...lol i know im prob askin alot bt if its in tht condition ill be ready to snap up a bargin...

so when the petrol station said they couldnt release the footage to u unless u have a police warrant did they atleast confirm that they had the footage ? if they do then it might b a good idea to see whats involved in getting the footage. and even pressing the insurance company to do the same ..... well they said they will have a look and then get back to us...he hasnt called so ill prob ask 2mrrw or wednesday...i should hope tht most service stations have a camera facing the exits for their own security...very very stupid if they dont...tht footage shld be enuf to pin him for the blame
