  1. i think Gibbo may be right....i believe it may be a spark plug problem or even the leads....thts wat it sounds like to me....does it feel like it has lost a bit of power....it may be the leads or one faulty spark plug...
  2. everything wat blindsight says in spot on.....u shldnt really be driving without an air filter...otherwise u can say bye bye to ur engine...when a leaf decides to go in :P...the swiss cheese thing helps too as well as a nice induction noise....u can buy ECUs bt its very expensive.....manual is better for racing (bt street racing is for losers)....i personally like a manual coz u get more control...thts y i am gettin a gen3 vienta in manual soon :D.....do ur intake and exhaust and u will gain a few HP (not alot) bt u will notice a difference!!! lets us know how things unfold!!
  3. yep old man has the same cam as u...and it averages around the same as tht too...
  4. cheers mate....im def not gettin them nor am i lowering the camry...im saving up for a new car
  5. lol enjoy...be careful tho..go in a carpark...where theres no cars...
  6. ahh thanks mate...does that mean the cars over there badged as camrys r cheaper..even tho they r aurions?? coz here the camrys cheaper than the aurion by 10gs....
  7. yeah autobarn have em too....autobarn had panel filters for 80bucks at one stage....yeah they help the car breathe better like wat others said the gains r minimal....
  8. nice to hear mate...she sounds awesome....nice choice on the clutch...
  9. yeah mate u gotta take it back....coz they obviously didnt connect the cable back up again...should be free of charge....ahh nice to see u luv ur new exedy clutch....i dont think it needs a lengthy break in period...after the first few times u done the whole gear changes...its good to goo...basically its good to go as soon as its installed...bt its always good to drive a lil easier when u first get the clutch put in...just in case....bt i would say after the first drive...u can go harder....if u got the exedy heavy duty clutch...then tht thing should last for a very long time....nice to hear tht u got ur girl back....!!
  10. i think u get tht "dead cat smell" when u constantly use the "inside" air circulation...try switching to outside air...it may help with the smell....otherwise glen20 should do the trick....
  11. hey i just realised tht this nice car aint a camry....its actually an aurion....nevertheless nice ride...and welcome to the forum!!
  12. if u do do it tht way....the amount u get will be a taxable income...if i were u i would just make up a recipt on excel and keep it at tht....
  13. im not a big fan of navigators...i reckon they suck and r unreliable....mate had one...and we were going up to brissy and was trying to get to a motel for the night...he thought he would use the navigator to get there and i used the old skool way (the good ol' UBD map)...i got there before him coz his GPS system took him another way and obvisiously it took him the longer way.....lol thts just my experience....and they r very expensive too...it lures more theives into ur car
  14. dude its only 2 extra dots
  15. 111 single people!!! if those 27 chicks hooked up with the some of the single fellas i think we can keep the single figures below 100.....
  16. cheers guy...looks like ill do the timing belt water pump engine mount and exhaust brackets.....and perhaps the lil things later.....cheers!
  17. bah humbarg....i also have to get the water pump replaced, as well as engine mounts and get some new exhaust brackets.....is this gonna cost me more than 1gs?
  18. where do u live mate....got a few mates working at wrecking yards they can fix u up with 2nd hand parts for a good price....cheers whip...and yeah i would take whips advice on the spray paint...coz we fixed a mates car just using the autobarn paint straight up....and yeah it didnt look to great.....if u wanna make it look good get each part sprayed at a spray shop....
  19. damn i was told it change at 115 or 120....coz the original belt is supposd to last longer....the timing belt is the main belt in the engine right??? its the one thts hard to replace as opposed to the fan belt...and btw is the timing the one thts covered?? and is the fan belt the visible belt?? cheers
  20. sorry to hear....at least ur daughters fine....do u have insurance? and is ur daughter under the age of 21? if ur daughters is under 21 im guessin the insurance company is asking for around 2000 for excess....if its the whole front end it would prob cost around 2000 for a decent job....are the 2 side panels damaged too?? i can give u an estimate on a few parts...btw these would be 2nd hand parts (but genuine camry parts) and they wont all be the same colour.... Bonnet- about $150 Main headlight- around $100 each plus $20-30 for the corner light...soo for 2 sets of lights including 2 corner lights..ur looking at around $250 for the lot... Bumper- around $120 or $110... Front Grill- around $60-70.. if i was u i would go to autobarn and get ur colour ( i think its around 30buck for a can of around 500ml-i could be wrong)...it wont look like brand new....bt at night u cant tell...you can do it all urself the hard bit is taking out the damaged parts....when u do take out the damaged parts...inspect the chasis and make sure that hasnt been impacted....if the chasis has deformed slightly then i think its best to go to a panel beater....
  21. hey guys...just wandering when should i change the timing belt for a 95 camry with a 5sfe (2.2L) engine...which has abt 105,XXXkms on the clock??? i know its a non intereference engine but i do want to change it just before it does start to give way...coz i dont want to get it towed to a mechanic...(coz it would cost me at least 100buck to get it towed)....cheers!
  22. good thing about hilux its jst tht they r soo unbreakable.......i personally like the mini trucking scene...looks alot hotter...bt i still say the older hilux pre 2000 ones looked way way better
  23. you would think it would be alot easier if they stuck a button somewhere!!
  24. hyo mate... i think the first thing u should do...is go thru ur contract with a fine tooth comb....make sure u read the terms on conditions too ( the small prints as well)..basically wat im sayin is read the contract inside out...jst make sure theres nothing there saying that they have the right to ask for further payment....if i was u i wouldnt waste ur money going to a lawyer coz after all its only 1400...u may end up paying more for court and lawyer fees...if the contract states that this is ur final payment and its signed by both parties ( you and the dealer) u should def. be in the clear....if they take u to court for it....u should win bt i would also claim compensation for it too.... good luck dude!!!
  25. well i aint no expert...bt in skool we were taught if u enter into a legal contract and its signed....u cannot break the contract unless the other party is willing too as well..as long as they have signed the contract saying u needed to pay for the car for tht amount (less the $1400)...then i dont see y u should...mate u shouldnt need to pay tht extra 1400...i would opt to go the legal way.....bts its ur own choice....personally for me i would hate the fact some1 is trying to scam more money out of me when i already purchased something and given a final payment....good luck mate
