mate this similar incident happend to my mum.....u prob already know the witnesses are key...bt if not...u shld get a photo (most ppl have camera phones)....this same thing happnd to my mum...she was stationary some1 sideswipes her...at first hes like my fault....then told his insurance company another story....so always try to resolve the incident at the scene, perhaps even gettin her to sign a statement saying it was her fault and even getting the cops at the scene....mate ill jst stick by ur story and perhaps even put in a police report (if u put in a police report it suggests that u know ur not at fault)...good luck mate...

wups sorry mate....see u can tell i drive a 4 banger :P....so i am guessin the ecu in the 3.5 is the same as the one in the 3? u shld got to an auto shop and find out how much a new performance ecu will be...its well worth the investment..

u could give it a shot bt im not 100 percent sure.....im quite sure both used the same engine 1mz-fe and basically the same electronics as well? but i could be wrong again..some1 here will know more than me....i just thght the gen 3.5 had a facelift (more like a rearlift)

yeah i seen this one before....the reason y they ask for you personal details is basically for identity theft...i mean what they really want is ur money...but becoz it sounds suss if they just ask for it, they just get all you personal details, and basically steal you identity and then your money :P

dunno if u would gain tht much power..is urs a gen3 v6 and r u looking to swap it with a gen3.5? correct me if i am wrong bt i think they used the same ecu...theres not much difference between the gen 3.5 and gen3....if i was u i would get an aftermarket top quality ecu....they can calibrate it the way u want to drive....therefore high revs etc....hope tht helps...

yeah every1 is right....the 5sfe engine was built for economy and reliability...if you want to get some sort of power out of it....i suggest to do wat the boys have already told u to do (change ur air intake and exhaust system)...u may also want to turn o/d off when u drive....and press the ETC power button (it gives u higher revs)....i would also rec. u resetting ur ECU...(thus disconnecting ur battery for about 30mins or so) after you have reconnected ur battery take it for a drive straight away and make sure u drive around with high revs (thus putting ur foot to the floor)...if u keep tht up for a week or soo the ecu will adjust according...bt tht being said if u start driving "slow" then the car will automatically go bak to tht state of drive

how long have u had the pod filter on for??? u may need to wait a while for the ecu to adjust....if its been doing this for a long time.....then perhaps the pod filter maybe sucking too much heat??

if u look at ur manual i think it says that it should be okay.....considering u dont do long hill climbs and stay in low gears for a long time.....bt its always safer to get a cooler fitted...esp if u going to be towing tht caravan around frequently.....

i agree with BAd on this one....the older models look way hotter....i mean wats the deal with only releasin hatch version!!! i was behind one of em a few evenings ago....and coz the lights r crystal clear...the sun was shining on it...and deadset i couldnt tell wether the dude was hitting the brakes or not.....so i had to keep a distance on him......bt tht aside...i dont like the look of the new one...looks like a small cheap kia hatchback (well the back of it newyz)...if they release a sedan i think it may be a bigger hit...bt right now the older imprezas r def better looking!!!! by having another look at it....i think it looks more like a mazda 3.......
