  1. why not, lets see what price we can get them down to. of course itd have to be for both zze n zre.
  2. Hi guys, just noticed the other day, mums zze 122 auto has an overdrive button undernear the main trigger for the gear stick yet my gfs 2008 zre auto doesnt? Did they change this for a specific reason or im just blind and cant seem to find one? Its to stretch out the gears right? to maintain econonmy and stop constant gear changes in city driving? so why would they have gotten rid of it? Thanks guys
  3. Too much hassle already in my opinion, start looking for another car.
  4. Hi guys, ive done a little research and read opinions and have come to learn that D2s and G4s are cheap crap coilovers. Anyhow i was browsing through just japs website and came across these little puppys. Being an average of $200 more expensive that D2s and such i still imagine that they are near the lower end of the market. Just jap bc coilovers Now i looked up reviews on the net and came across a few site saying some pretty good things about them. I was just curious if any of you had any experience with them? Im not aiming for a full time track car, just something better that my setup at the moment (pedders sportsryder springs and shocks. whiteline rear sway, front stut n soon front underbrace) and maybe a track day or two everynow and again. Are they worth it for a budget coilover or is it really not worth it..........are cheap coilovers REALLY that bad? Thanks guys
  5. Hi guys, just curious if any of you have these for sale, preferably pickup in sydney. -zze 123 corolla sportivo factory rims/alloys -zze 122/123 front dash ashtray (black or silver doesnt really matter) -zze 122/123 air con vents (the main centre piece that clips around the radio) -Short shifter (trd or twm doesnt matter) If any of you do have these could you post what prices your looking for and then well go from there. Thanks all CME-LFT
  6. 2" is what your car comes with stock so dont even bother, and obviously 2.25" will become louder, i think you gain more power top end but mite lose a tad down lower in the rev range.
  7. Ok sorry for the stupid question, but whats the point of a different catch can?
  8. Like i said i used that before and had same results as you, easier gear changes but still crunching, but now went to 75w85 and its even smoother and no crunching no matter how crap i shift.
  9. Took the car for a mad thrash last night....STILL GOING STRONG............i seriously think this that solved my problem. no crunching WHATSOEVER .....i got a shift light in my car but still have the bad habit of shifting before the light comes on thinking that its still gonna crunch, but i force myself to wait for the light which i set to 8k and by the time i shift its just about to hit limiter ( gotta admit sometimes it does). Perfect shifts, it just wants to go in so easy now, feels like a different gearbox SERIOUSLY GUYS GO GIVE IT A TRY, Like i said, my gearbox in no way was new or perfect and i honestly cant believe how well its been going.
  10. I ended up paying $100 all up with oil and additive. but i think i got a discount. Just get it done properly and get the same oil.
  11. Read my topic, its been a few weeks now and im still smacking gears at redline. Changed Oil Really Helped
  12. Thanks rolla boy, its good to see a decent pic of one in our car. The only reason im still partially thinking single din is cause i might want to put in a din cup holder seeing as the factory cup tray in the centre console is S**THOUSE lol.
  13. Looks like ill be going D/din. thanks for your thoughts anyway guys :D :D
  14. I never use armor oil products anymore. I used to use it on my previous cars dash and interior plastic peices, gave it that wonderful wet look and the week i stopped using it and it dryed up completely everything started to crack and split.
  15. Hi guys im looking towards getting a new headunit and was curious as to what most of you have ended up choosing. I like all styles and really cant make up my mind as what type to get so i wanted to know what made you make your decision. Im liking the whole 2din screen and as a few of them have removeable screens im thinking it might be better as an anti theft side of things although with the single pop out i get the extra din space to use. Any thoughts or suggestions?
  16. Nulon product would have been Nulon G70. Just popped a tube into my gearbox when it was out. Def smoother but I'm still crunching because I don't think my clutch has been adjusted correctly. Sounds about right.
  17. Ive had them on my car for about 10-15k so far (215/45/r17) and there pretty sticky, pinned a few hard corners in them, they grip pretty well in the wet as well. Im also gettin really good tyre wear on them too. I paid $200 a corner though and that was on special supposebly, i think they jumped up to 250 for my size now.
  18. The gearbox oil was castrol syntrax 75w85 with a seperate nulon additive added into it when the oil was put in. It wasnt one premix.
  19. What i find funny is that we get people around our area that come past picking stuff up at like 1-2 in the morning cause there too ashamed to get the stuff in the middle of the day when everyone might be looking. lol
  20. Hi guys, well for those of you who dont know i bought my sportivo with 67k on the clock. Anyhow soon after i got it i joined the forum and researched the whole crunching in lift issue related to the sportivos and read up on what gearbox oil to use so i got a GB oil change at 70k. Now i did read through the numerous pages of advice on what brands and grades of oil to use and opted to buy the castrol syntrax 75w90 To my dissapointment the problem wasnt resolved and i still couldnt flat change past 7800rpm or even change past that rev even if i took it easy at all. It did help to some degree but i still wasnt happy. Btw the previous owner had already done the clutch pedal adjustment. Over time i grew used to it and thought that i had to deal with the issue rather than going through hassles of adjusting it again or changing clutch (as ive heard off a few others hadn't helped the problem either) Now here comes the good news! The other day my 100k service came up and i decided to get another GB oil change. this time with the advice of my mechanic mate i decided to change the grade of oil to castrol 75w85 even though i could not see that posted anywhere on the forum. And once again as i was against any form of additives i did end up putting in this nulon product ( will get details on what was used, cant remember at the moment.) Now im not saying this will solve everyone elses problems but From having a tight box (esp getting into reverse) and not being able to flat change or shift any higher than 7800rpm over the last few days ive been playing with the car a little bit and seeing if it made any difference. Well, the box is sooo much smoother to change now with normal driving and i can even hit limiter if i want and flat change to 2nd or 3rd with NO CRUNCHING!!!(cold mornings it still shifts smoothly) Now like i said, maybe it just helped solve my GB issue, but id say to others to give it a try as well. The box isnt new seeing as the car has done 100k with the factory clutch and had its fair share of crunching trying to get that perfect shift but it has helped me. It still is only early days as ive only had the new oil in for 3-4 days. So incase i have missed a topic in which this problem was solved i appologize for writing so much, if not hopefully i can help others with the same problem. Thanks guys!
  21. Im logged in, how come i dont have permission to view them?
  22. Well they definently have gone up in price, i payed 350 fitted, or it was 270 just for the kit. BUT it does sound freakin crazy!!
