  1. Hi guys, i wanted to replace my foggies in the sportivo (corolla) to hids. Ive been looking around ebay and this is what i get confused with Ebay shows hb4 hid globes as Ebay HB4 Hid Kit Yet from looking at my car and other web photos, Hb4 seems to look like this Normal Hb4 Now i must be a moron, cause i can't understand how the new hid globe is meant to retrofit into the original globes position as the original has a right angle, and the new one is a straight piece? Also, are the ballasts mean to "plug and play" into your original light globe plug, as a sort of extention to the ballast if you will? I have searched but still havn't found, and its confusing as hell Thanks guys
  2. Take it back to toyota and complain until they do fix it as your willing to pay, and seeing as its a car that they should have expertise in, they should find the problem. Maybe a gearbox flush/service? How many ks has the car done?
  3. Yeh this happened to my whiteline bar a month after i got it, got it exchanged and been fine for 2 years now. Guess its just a dodgy batch.
  4. Fuse box is located under the passenger foot well, theres a piece of black plastic that needs to be removed. (it just unclips, give it a little tug) and theres the first set. Under that bit of plastic if you look carefully theres a little cover with a diagram of what each fuse does, underneath that little cover is the actual fuses. Hard to miss. And then if you open the bonnet theres fuses on the right hand side under a black cover. with 2 spare fuses. (a 10amp and a 20amp)
  5. Where abouts are these off the shelf supercharger kits, and are they completely off the shelf in regards to ecu and such?
  6. Car Model/Year: 2004 Sportivo Km on Engine: 109,000 KM Current Engine Oil: Castrol Edge sport fullly synthetic 5w30 Price: $30-$50 depends if supercheap has a special Current Gear Oil: Magnatec 75-85 with nulon additive Notes: Used to run mobil one gold, this is cheaper and still decent quality from what ive heard and i do oil changes every 4-5k Possible Future Engine Oil: Most likely the same Possible future Gear Oil: Same stuff as before, it helped a fair bit with the shifting.
  7. So for someone who has done 2/5inch cat back, intake and ported headers but doesnt want to change the ecu just yet due to various reasons, is it worth the money if im looking for that bit more torque/gain? In other words is it fairly noticeable?
  8. Congrats brother...................next modification to the rollas gonna be a booster seat lol either that or trade it in for a minibus.lol...........nah seriously congrats again!!!!
  9. Belt for the laser was around $17, did it with my brother so i dont know how much it would cost to get it done
  10. Happened to my ford laser the other day, had a look under the bonnet and found that the belt for the alternator had snapped off completly. Half way driving home the charge light and brake light both came on. So check your belts first as well
  11. I bought an old ford laser as a run around car the other day for work........its has no tint and its gets so friggin hot inside, even when driving all i feel is the heat across my legs and face.my advice, GET TINT.lol As for where abouts, i wouldnt know as im in syd.
  12. Scratches or not, nothing looks better than a black car at night :P
  13. Read the oil topic, i think most people with stivos on here opt for 5w30
  14. I thought someone beeped me, was sooo sick of traffic, half zoned out.lol
  15. When my mate changed mine, (works at bridgestone) he said that he had 3 options, genuine toyota, next step down replica/aftermarket but still decent quality only cheaper and then 3rd was the cheap option. Sorry i dont know specifically what was what, but i went second option and its been running nearly 20k so far with no issues. cant remember how much it cost total but i think it was less that $200 inc labour.
  16. With the hassle of getting to the water pump, i would just change it anyway.
  17. Every second month i swap servos from bp to caltex and back, and each month im convinced my car seems faster...................placebo effect for sure.lol
  18. Bored, washed the car today, curious if anyone wanted to meet up, me n lylee might go somewhere for a couple of shoots. Dont really know where yet. Any ideas, anyone interested?
  19. Got plastered at a mate house couple of years back, we got a bit cold so we decided to light a fire. So we fill up this metal tin with petrol only to realise 5 mins after lighting it that theres a puddle leaking out the bottom of it. 5 more mins pass and we're wondering when this puddle is going to light up when.........whoosh, flames everywhere. Stupid us decided to start this fire under my mates awning, nearly burnt the entire house down. Things ive learnt from that night: -Salt puts out fires........only if you have access to about 2 tonnes worth of it, not the amount from the salt container out of the kitchen cupboard -Never try to put out a fire with a metal mop bucket (trying to cover the flame) as it heats up very quickly lol -After failing with the bucket.................dont attempt using a nylone shirt.lol -And dont stomp it either or youll end up looking like johnny flame from fantastic four with your shoes on fire. -Water does work................eventually........it just looks like floating fire for a while.lol Another time, we threw a cigarette into someones otto bin (thinking it was out of course), only to see it turn into this massive bonfire minutes later, taking out two bins and flickering against the power lines....thank god for the fire brigade For some reason, everytime i get smashed, i seem to nearly burn someones house down.........
  20. I love the sound of hitting limo, not on my car of course. But hearing some other stooge do it.lol Theres a vid on youtube somewhere of guys in a beemer revving the crap outta it at the lights, hitting limiter for like 10-15 seconds straight, then when the lights go green and the take off they end up blowing the motor.........fools
  21. ...and an understanding of WTF all of that means. ;) HAHAHAHAHAHAH
  22. Ok to summarize this up: If someone has money to waste, and already has: -2.5inch cat back -CAI -Ported Headers is it worth getting a high flow cat? or will you lose power down low and only gain top end, will you even notice a difference? Yes or No as this will be my next step. (sorry to hijack the thread)
  23. Different for sportivo keys The plastic surround snapped on my key the other day, so i rang toyota and the guy reckons they only sell half the surround, otherwise its $300 for a new key, .....went on ebay, found a new case for $10. Gotta love ebay :D
