  1. Sorry guys is it just me or does that grill make it look too much like the new honda accord? Love the dash though.
  2. Mate i wouldnt bother, even if it did happen to still be ok, wax really isnt that expensive and if its not ok do you really want to run the risk of doing any damage to the cars paint?
  3. I know the corolla sportivos come with 16" as stock but i was curious to putting say 15' levin rims on just to see if the car feels lighter and goes any harder.
  4. Dammit, not even the newest Corolla come with something like that? I can't afford a headunit, nor can i find a cheap one thats teh same size as the current one. Then dont look for one the same size, get a single din HU (i think i saw a cheap sony mp3 for like 120 at supercheap) and the space at the bottom ends up being a pocket or swap it to a cup holder/cd draw!
  5. Its almost as if the actual wiper arm has warped in the heat and no longer hugs the glass. Definently get them changed at next service.
  6. What do you mean by not holding the ends of the blades down properly? Did you cut the blade too long or maybe the u-clip bit at the end of each arm is a bit loose, try sqeezing it together ever so slightly. I noticed thats its best if the metal clip part on the end of the wiper blade sits at the top of the wiper arm. Any photos at all?
  7. Dave you'll love it, hurry up n save and get it done !
  8. I know this may sound like bull but the best wipers ive ever bought are those $10 coloured silicon ones from supercheap, theve been on for nearly 2 years now, streak free and quiet as a mouse. Im suprised as to how well and long they've lasted seeing as there like $20-$30 cheaper than toyota blades.
  9. Listen to this, LEARN TO TALK CRAP TO THE INSURANCE GUYS 2004 corolla sportivo Modded Last year i was insured with nrma with $1800 premium with $18,000 covered under dads name, this year they wanted to bump it up to $2200 premium with the car covered for only $16,000 (excess $1000) that didnt make sense so i told them to get stuffed.lol I rang up Just Car (AFTER i had done an online quote but didnt tell them YET) and they wanted $2200 premium with cover of $18,000 under MY name (im 21) with an excess of $2500. Anyhow i did do a cheap attempt at an online quote which gave me $1800 premium with $21,000 cover ( only half the listed mods). and i mention this to the guy on the phone after he gave me his best price. So after talking to him i end up with Im covered for $21,500 with premium of $1750 and excess of $2000 but its under MY name (21) which with "Just Car" you can adjust your premium anyway. Everythings covered, rims, cai, full exhaust, supsension, sway bars, strut bars n such. Im sure many have gotten better or worse but i dont think i did too bad.
  10. Ok guys, i know that each car requires a specific load rating for each tyre to withstand the weight but my question is, if i went a load rating under (e.g wanna pop some cheap steelies on for a little bit) will the tyres pop under extreme force (eg. fanging the car around the block and corners or higher speeds e.g 110kph-->) or even at lower speeds and normal driving or is it more a danger in the fact that the actual rim might buckle?
  11. Come on guys lets get a mini meet happening then ill most likely come.
  12. Whats the run like, havnt been there before, is it TWISTY :D or more just a cruise through the park?
  13. Those weapons remind me of a SAW movie. and does anyone even use clublocks anymore?
  14. Forget about the house CONGRATS ON THE GARAGE!!! :D :D
  15. The rate people are going, soon enough babies will be having new born parents!
  16. Spotted i think "flynsx" near epping this morning at around 10:00 i think..looks TOUGH!
  17. CHAMPION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it should be exactly the same for the sportivo right? no. of gears doesnt affect the stick at all? Also the twm shifter should also be the same yeah?
  18. Rear brake lights as well, prefacelift has squarish reflectors/blinkers in the centre while facelifts are round. Correct me if im wrong here. Facelift has an extra leather peice/flap on the centre console and all the windows have that auto up/down function while the pre-facelift has it only on the drivers door.
  19. All these damn arguments. I started this post curious about what i should do with my headers and its turned into an all out war over who thinks whats better. At the end of the day people are going to choose whos advice they take. I got my stock headers done at westside. It was close to home, the staff where professional and helpful, price was decent and im very pleased with the performance outcome. Some people should learn that there are others who choose how to mod their car due to different reasons. I could tell you over and over again how happy i am with the work that was done but theres always going to be someone out there saying i could do better or gotten it cheaper. At the end of the day, you get what you get and you choose what you choose. The point of this topic is for people to share there opinions and hopefully helps others as it has helped me make my own decisions. Not to fight on whose product is better...its pointless. I liked it cause it was close to home and if i had any problems i could shoot there after work and settle it instead of importing the product and calling another state or whoever it may be just to get help. Im sure all these other products might be better giving me 2-3kw difference which to ME is not really worth my time. Im not taking it to the track nor am i a professional race car driver. I could go down to the local burger shop and buy a big ***** burger.....it could be the best one ive ever had but others might like to have a bbloody big mac. WHO CARES?......you all going to fight over it again? just cause i prefur my greazy $5 burger over the $10 mccrappa meal thats guaranteed to always taste the same! At the end of the day they both fill you up. I think ive talked enough for now
  20. Any chance of another group buy???
  21. Man i hope i dont have to go crawling through the roof (electrician)
  22. I dont think anyone really expects massive gains, if they do then there a stooge (it aint a turboed car). I know all I wanted from doing the setup was that i wanted the car to run a little smoother and healthier than it was stock. My 2cents worth anyway
