  1. Hello All Before starting a new thread in this Forum to ask a question, please take note that it's been running for quite some time now and many questions have been asked and answered by the older members (From when we were newbies!). Therefore, please remember that common modification questions relating to... *Suspension ( Springs, Front/Rear Strut Brace, Sway bars / Stabilisers, Dampers/Shockers, Camber Bolts etc ) *Wheels / Tyres ( Sizes, Offsets, etc ) *Air Filters ( Panel Filters/ Pod Filters *Cold Air Intake ( CAI ) and Short Ram Systems. *Exhaust ( Mufflers, Catback systems, Extractors/Headers ) *ECU's ( Apexi, Unichip, Powerchip, Greddy E-manage etc ) *Clutch *Flywheels *Stereo Installs *Brakes ( Discs/Calipers, Caliper painting etc). Will have already most likely been covered in the not so distant past. So please do a search first, If you then can't find the answer you're looking for, Post away. Also remember, you can just add a reply to an existing thread of a similar topic to ask a question Cheers The Moderators and thanks to Carlo (for his original post) This post has been edited by peekay: May 7 2005, 11:43 AM
  2. I beg to differ Yes they do work....I have one in my Honda Accord now. On the Sportivo with a decent filter and CAI no difference and yes a waste of time. Other wise on a standard setup ..I would get the ITG panel filter first though they make a nice difference. The Hilclone has improved my fuel economy by approx 50km a tank in combination with the filter. On my mitsubishi challenger they made a huge difference.
  3. You know why ...scared of being beaten by a "lower class vehicle" if you know what I mean
  4. When I had my rolla with cai drove through torrential rain never had an issue. It would only be a problem if the filter was in water deep enough to cause water to be sucked in. If you want a bypass valve if you are that worried I have one for sale.
  5. I reckon it's one of the "cheap" brand ..........I reckon in Australia it cost around $300 for a good one. ← It is not one of the cheap brands the price I would say is more realistic than $300. How do you classify what is cheap or expensive anyway if you want to pay $300 go for it. I would rather pay the $100 for something that does the same job. They are very popular and made in Japan.
  6. VSV Valve causes the clicking. This valve goes between the throttle body and polution control. The reason you don't hear it egene is cause your deaf :P ..PARDON DID U SAY SOMETHING...IS MY STEREO TO LOUD!!!! :P :P
  7. Stuart and I may come as well if I am not in Sydney. May also go to the Airshow if I am not. If we do go to the Air show viking do you have a mobile no to contact you.
  8. Even if it is quick Carlos the price is unrealistic.
  9. Not a hope any one is going to buy that car at that price. He is better to strip the mods off and sell individually. The car is probably worth only $23-24K. Even with all the mods I had on my car when it came to trade it in they valued it at 22K but I had 12K of mods. ... They told me take them off...as it was worth more to them to sell (then sold privately) . You can not be expected to buy a car and pay full price of the mods on top of the value. I would say at around $28-29K he has a better chance.
  10. 223 nm of torque Specs here http://www.honda.com.au/Accord/Euro/eurolu.../powertrain.htm
  11. Did a run on the Dyno run on the Honda today. 1st run 160Hp second run 180BHP at the wheels average 115.1KW at the wheels. Only engine mod is ITG panel filter and Comptech Icebox. But the car only has low k's at the moment so still running the engine in... still not too shabby. Also should improve once the engine frees up a bit more.

    My 400th post

I have made 655... :P BTW what happened on Sunday
  13. Marcus the Guy on the bike in the pics sorry to say is an idiot not to be wearing proper stuff (and I am glad some people from what I read bought it up) . I have had a motor bike since I was seventeen ..now 40. I don't care what he says you cannot predict when and where you will have an accident....because that is what they precisely are an accident. Tell him to wake up and smell the roses you are never invunerable (though he thinks he is) no matter what experience you have on a motorcycle. I have known guys that have lots of experience ie racing on tracks and road experience who would agree with me, and refuse to not ride without their leathers. If he hit some oil on the road or gravel (which I know there is a heap off the stuff on the Ocean Rd (I have slid while cornering on that road on my bike)) arrogance won't save you or your skin.... My two cents worth. But I hope you enjoyed the drive anyway and glad for his sake he didn't have one cause it would have been you guys picking up the pieces.
  14. My father in law owns a panel shop in Richmond Chris. Parkes Bodyworks 322 Swan St 94284282. He is not neccessarily cheap but they do good repairs. They did my rolla and my honda (for the Mods). His name is Trevor ring him tell him you are a friend of mine and he will be able to help you out.
  15. Choke Gasp....Severe bout of coughing .....sure Lucian sure
  16. Much better car than the 6 also if she needs a refferal for price let me know. But only if she wants one, I hate mucking people around.
  17. To be honest I havn't really had much of a chance to give it a real go. I have been doing some travel for work and also it has just had its first 1000km service. I am off to Syndey again tomorrow. Maybe after I have got the ITG Filter installed (being made) then I will give it a go. The car is being lowered this weekend so I get another 5kw from that.. ...not really. Also I put MB Quart 6x9 in yesterday so that gives me another 5kw.. Ask me again a week or two. But from a driving prospective mmmm I think I have a woody.... :P pure pleasure to drive. The power is different not as harsh in coming in as the Rolla.
  18. I would recommend the ITG Pod filter better than the K & N, I had both on my rolla much better.
  19. It's alright, you don't look 40 as well. Especially with all that baby fat. ← Cheeky bugger... :P
  20. Very Nice...Would do it but my insurance company is already having kittens... I am thing about a Fujitsubo exhaust as well... But $1600 Fitted well cash is a bit tight at the moment after buying the car for cash (over $47K in cash with some mods) .... ..so I will have to save . Any one giving one away for free....anyone ????? Hello? all right ignore me then...lol... :P
  21. MMMMM ...I prefer lambs......Baa BARRRRRRRRRRR!!!!
