Don't forget to buy that as well. It will bolt right up to the engine with a perfect fit. The fourth pipe just doesn't get used, that's all.

So I take it that you have analysed the market here in Australia and you know exactly what people are looking for? Personally, I can't imagine that putting a CVT into a Corolla over here is going to really boost sales any more than where they are already. Just because something works good overseas doesn't automatically mean that it is going to work well over here. The market is not the same.

To the OP (ameamr), seriously though, you should get those two that I have linked to. Just ignore what everyone says here about them not working because they are just trying to hide the truth from you so you don't end up with one of the automotive performance industry's best value modifications. It helps them stay ahead of everyone else if no-one really picks up on these modifications.

If you can handle the performance change, go for this one mate: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2008-08-Toyota-Aurion-OBD-Performance-Flash-Chip-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQitemZ320550156342QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories It's effects can even be multiplied when combined with this specific kit: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Electric-Supercharger-Turbo-Nitrous-All-Cars-MPG-HP-/150475360757?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM When you fit it, let us know what you think of it all. So many others on the internet have said many good things about these.

Which Semi slick for TRD Aurion?
DJKOR replied to TRD Bloke's topic in General Toyota & Other Car Discussions
The other thing you need to be aware of is that you will most likely have to change to another wheel size... probably smaller than 19 inches. Finding a semi-click for a 19 inch wheel that will maintain the appropriate diameters required for the Aurion will be rather difficult (well that's what I found), so this is where it gets a little tricky. Getting 20's with semi-slicks will also probably end up too large of a rolling diameter so this is why you are probably going to have to go smaller. Only issue there is, I'm not sure what the legal requirements are because the TRD comes stock with 19 inch wheels. In my mind, I would imagine that going smaller would be illegal seeing that the 17 inch wheel that comes with the TRD is considered for temporary use only. Just something to consider. But like what Dave mentioned, going for a semi-slick on a car that is mostly used on the road is a rather costly exercise. You are better off getting another set of rims to put them on and using them for track only. -
Each to their own but I just don't understand how people can put up with a CVT. The sound is just not natural. Just like Hiro said, it feels/sounds like a slipping clutch and/or you get an urge to want to upshift..

Needz moar on the rearz. Otherwise, it's looking good.

Asking for which exhaust sounds the best is like asking everyone which singer they think is the best. It's a subjective question that is based on the individual. What someone may think sounds good may not be 'best' for you. It may not be loud enough or deep enough for your likings. Trial and error or hearing what others have will probably be the best way for you to answer that question. As for drone, most oval style mufflers while keeping your stock resonator will usually keep the drone away to an extent.

Depends on how picky you are about your car and/or how much you travel. You can be fine with your standard 15,000km/12 month services (whichever comes first), or you can choose to do the mid-major services in addition to that (every 7,500km/6 months). Some dealers tend to send out a letter/write on your service sticker to come back in 6 months/7,500km mainly just to sucker you in. An extra service for them is extra money for them. Personally, I stick with the major services (as per the logbook) every 15,000km and do a mid-service oil and filter change every 7,500km. If you cover about 15,000km in a year, I'd personally consider changing your oil and filter at the half-way mark as well... but that's just a personal thing. Servicing every 15,000km/12 months isn't really going to cause any damage for a normally used Aurion. To put things in perspective as well though, I still go by the 7,500km mid-service oil change even though I can cover 15,000km in as little as 3 months.

I think that's probably the best description of it all for me.

This whole politics thing really isn't my area of knowledge so excuse my own opinions here. Personally, despite all the sh*t that is going against Liberal and Labour (to me it seems way more than previous elections), I can still picture that one of those parties will still be voted in. To me it seems like people are now a little more indecisive on who to vote for, but at the end of the day, it's either going to be Labour or Liberal. Realistically though, could you trust any of the other parties to run everything? But this is where my next though comes in. Now I don't want either Liberal or Labour to win, hence why I will vote for some other random party. But at the end of the day... what's the point?
-
Anything that is not Labour, Liberal, or Greens. Though it would be funny in a way to see the Greens voted in because I honestly don't know how they would react. I just don't understand why they bother in the first place. So either I'll vote for the Australian Sex Party (http://www.sexparty.org.au/) or make a null vote.

Well there you go. Guess my my isn't as good as I thought it is. I never used the manual to remove my door trim though Edit: That said, I probably recalled seeing a diagram like that on 'IR-14' which pretty much shows you what holds the rear door trim on.
-
Actually, from what I recall (my laziness is preventing me from loading the manuals), I think the manual you are after is the Interior.pdf

These A/C pollen filters certainly do get that dirty. They are made to trap fine particles so going black like that isn't anything out of the ordinary. This was one of mine after 13,000km:
-
No it's not just you. Just because something is newer, doesn't mean everybody is going to like it. Everyone thinks differently and a poll like this isn't really going to prove a point. And to answer the question since it has now been asked, I like both the pre-facelift and the facelift. Pre-facelift for the Sportivo's only, and facelift for all the others.

I don't think you you followed my reply correctly. I'm referring to putting an auto tilt kit on mirrors that weren't designed to that feature. Those Aurions that have the auto tilt have different mirrors to those without. For the auto tilt and position memory, the mirrors require sensors that tell the control ECU what position the mirrors are in. Without these, the aftermarket controller will most likely make its adjustments based on timing. This in turn can lead to innacuracies in its adjustment.
-
That's not what this mirror thing is about. This is about the side mirrors tilting downwards so that you can see where your wheels are in relation to the kerb. With your mirrors in their normal position, no amount of looking over your shoulder or out the door is going to help you see the kerb next to your wheels on the passenger side.

Oh man I can be stupid at times. I held down CTRL and clicked every single one of those links to see which threads they being up <massive facepalm at my stupidity>. But seriously, if mixing different brands of fuels is a problem, then you would think every car out there on the road would be having issues. It's just basic common sense. I'm not going to say any more. As for the website, I pretty much bailed on it ages ago. Only really keep the movies page up to date at times. Apart from that, it is just a space filler.

Here's my stupid question. Why do I feel bad for cancelling my gym membership? Longer story. I'm not cancelling it to give up on going to the gym... I'm doing so because I am going to switch over to a local one that offers better membership costs and has all the facilities I need. I have been with Fitness First for 6 years and 9 months and over that time, their costs just kept going up with nothing to really show for it. I only need the free weights and machines which my local Jetts offers and with better membership costs. Is it because I have been with Fitness First for so long that it is probably making me feel bad? It's just annoying because realistically, there shouldn't be anything I should feel bad about.

Words fail me. Someone please help me out because I just don't know where to start.
