Have you ever fuelled up your Aurion before? Next time you open the fuel tank cover, come back here and post what the sticker says behind the fuel filler door.

^ The Aurions, both pre-facelift and facelift, do not come with power folding mirrors. The only motor in them is to control the mirror glass. The only thing useful from that link could possibly be the auto-tilt for when reverse is engaged, but the abilities of that function depend on how well set up the circuit is. Without limit switches/position sensors in the mirror (which is only available on the Presara mirrors), the circuit can only rely on timing alone to adjust the angle of the mirror, which over time will mess up your mirror position... if it even gets it right in the first place.

One dark night outside a small town near Christchurch, a fire started inside the local chemical plant and in a blink of an eye it exploded into a massive ball of flames. The alarm went out to all the fire stations for miles around. When the volunteer fire fighters appeared on the scene, the chemical company managing director rushed to the fireman in charge and said, 'All our secret formulas are in the vault in the centre of the plant. They must be saved. I will give $50,000 to the fire crew that brings them out intact.' But the roaring flames held the fire-fighters back. Soon more fire crews had to be called in as the situation became desperate. As the firemen arrived, the now panicking managing director shouted out that the offer was now $100,000 for the firemen who could bring out the company's secret files. From the distance, a lone siren was heard and another fire truck came into sight. It was the nearby Maori rural township volunteer fire company composed mainly of Maoris over the age of 65. To everyone's amazement, the little run-down fire engine roared right past all the newer sleeker fire engines that were parked near the plant and without even slowing down it drove straight into the middle of the inferno. Outside, the other firemen watched as the Maori old-timers jumped off, right into the flames and fought the huge fire back on all sides. It was a performance and effort never before seen. Within a short time, the old timers had extinguished the fire and had saved the secret formulas. The grateful chemical company’s managing director, overwhelmed with joy, announced that for such a superhuman feat he was again upping the reward to $200,000 and he walked over to personally thank each of the brave fire fighters. The local TV news reporter rushed in to capture the event on film, asking the Maori chief, 'What are you going to do with all that money?' 'Well,' said Rangi, the 70-year-old fire chief, 'The first thing we gonna do is fix the brakes on that f*cking truck!'

Is this the same for the manual a/c? Or when you turn the a/c on in the manual one, it continously runs? Anything involving the operation of the air-conditioner compressor will affect fuel consumption, be it manual or climate-controlled. I was making the assumption earlier that the climate control was acting independtly of the air-con (as you said the air-con button was off), especially since the temperatures you were quoting were well into the "warm" range and thus don't require an air-con to reach. I think he meant more along the lines of whether the compressor runs continuously for the manual A/C, and not cycled on and off as was implied with regards to the climate control. In that case, for both the manual and auto A/C, the compressor only runs as required. When you set the temperature (be it through the manual dial or auto climate control), when the temperature of the air passing through the evaporator of the A/C gets above it's upper threshold for the set temperature, the compressor will engage. Once it has reached the set temperature, the compressor will disengage.

Everything that should be done and at which interval is specified in your service manual. If you haven't had a look at that, I would certainly recommend you do. Also, the Aurion using a timing chain. You should have done a search regarding that one: timing belt

In the fuel tank. Seriously, what you need to do is look is head over to the attached link and download the appropriate service manuals. Yes it is for a Camry, but the American 2GR-FE Camry which is very similar to the Aurion. The engine related stuff is pretty much the same and it will answer probably the next bunch of questions you may want to ask: http://www.camrystuff.com/index.php?page=Gen6_Manuals

The spam thread needed a bit of real spam. I figured I could trick some people by making the link a little more enticing. Shame I didn't manager to bait more.

What did you do to your car today?
DJKOR replied to JustinW's topic in General Toyota & Other Car Discussions
LOLOLOLOLOLOL That stuff smells nothing like new car. -
HOOOOOLLLLLLLYYYYYY SSSSSHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!! I stopped about halfway up because damn this is getting really confusing. Man I hate Tax.

Sounds like plain excuses to me which they used to justify their costs. Because of the design of the fuse panel, you can't insert a fuse the wrong way and there is no place on it that would cause your battery to drain without reason. Just my opinion.

performance chip? a little interesting i think
DJKOR replied to zedsx6's topic in Aurion / TRD Aurion Club
Admit it though. If you saw the chip for $1000, you wouldn't have asked. And you're wondering what everyone though... well that WAS my thought. -
I've seen worse and that is definitely nothing out of the ordinary. I'd recommend getting a new on though.

I've got some fun news for the 2GR-FE owners out there. Mainly for those with it in an Aurion. No public discussion of what I've done here. That is for a later date: http://djkor.com/new_modifications.html

corolla sportivo vs 08 lancer vrx
DJKOR replied to thestig's topic in Corolla / Corolla Sportivo Club
Nothing beats the good ol discussion to make Sportivo owners happy. Because everyone races each other every day. I would still choose the Audi over the Sportivo. Sure it may possible be slower in the given scenario, but I would still classify the Audi as a better car. -

That's right, those dining tonight will get a 21% off voucher for the next time they go to Hogs Breath. ... And I get a free knife. I like free stuff. http://www.hogsbreath.com.au/?page=77 -
My opinion would be as Mick has said. Chances are, Toyota is now going to charge you a lot for something which may be as simple as a handful of fuses. That said, hopefully it is just fuses blown and nothing more serious. Most of the wiring you have there in your car is protected by fuses so a short shouldn't wreck anything except for those. In saying that, depending on how unlucky you are, electronics could have been fried in the split seconds before the fuses are blown. Hopefully your wiring didn't apply power to any of the CAN-BUS lines because that would not be friendly at all. In addition to the fuses, another key area you should check are the fusible links in the engine bay. This is the long blue bar that's in the engine bay fuse box. They usually take a bit of current to blow, but from the sounds of your case, anything could have happened.

Are you talking about women or a car in general sense? I don't really like big butts at all. I do like a well shaped ass, but nothing Latin sized. As for cars, I don't like large rear ends either. It's just that song was the first thing that came to mind when I enterred the thread.

[Official] Brisbane Willowbank + Hogs Breath night
DJKOR replied to Andrew357's topic in Previous/Past Club Meets & Events
I'm just getting the usual. Mega cut hickory smoke prime rib, medium-rare, with veggies, fries, and extra hickory sauce (to dip those fries in). Only thing out of the ordinary today will be that sundae. -
Looking neat. Just got it and it has been christened by the rain already :(

Why won't this day just hurry up and end already. -
Yeah... I obviously figured that much. Pretty convenient location for them. They were in quite a rush as well.

It can affect it quite a bit depending on how much interest you get. Obviously a small amount isn't really going to do anything, but a large amount will. My mate saves a lot of money into his high interest ING account. He lost about 70% of the interest he earnt to tax. It was in the hundreds of dollars.

Looks great man. Holy fuq she is shiny. I don't want to rain on your parade, but a member by the name of BONDIE takes the crown for that. He actually used a modified Thai chrome grill for his.
