  1. Welcome to the club mate. Would be nice to see you out at one of our weekly meets. Would be nice to have some variety there.

OMG, I never though one could sound this good. You HAVE to get a Blitz kit man. It sounds sex: Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load!
  3. Elgin didn't have his TRD long enough. The Adrenalin's were his second set of tires and prior to that he had the Dunlops. As I said above: Let's just say my style of driving is something way out of the ordinary. Roundabouts became my good friend once I got the Adrenalin's.
  4. Thanks mate. They do look kind of nice (not quite like Hoosier's on old school muscle, but still nice), so I think next time I get a set (in like the next few weeks or so) I'll speak to the guys at Bridgestone and see what they say.
  5. It amazes me how lazy people can be. My car beeps if I go faster than 25km/h while the seatbelt is unbuckled as well. To be honest, I rarely hear that sound because I have gotten into the habit of putting my seatbelt on whenever I get into the car, even if it's just to re-park it a few spaces down or something similar. That seems to solve a lot of issues, especially creaks and rattles.
  6. If you play around with the camera, you'll find that it has a threaded section on the back and some angled adapters. You simply push it through a pre-drilled hold and tighten it up. This is where a search comes in handy: Infra red reverse camera Bear in mind my installation involved more hacking at the plastic due to my large numberplate.
  7. Yeah, when I was mucking around, I smoked up the parking lot there. I could not see through it once I was done. I think it might be the cold tires. You left a pretty good smoke trail when you left. That sure was quick. So sneaky even I didn't even notice you turn it off.
  8. I'm not too up to date with some things, but is there anything that Google can't do? I swear they will take over the world or something. I can vouch for that as well. Under load while driving sounds really sweet. Not bad for a mighty little Yaris.

    losing oil

Lucas engine oil treatments are pretty good as well. They aren't a 'fix-all' solution, but can sometimes help out.
  10. I think some hoons must have stopped by at the loop and left some skid marks. That massive 's' shaped one at the end there that I left saw looks pretty sweet though. P.S. Good to see your traction control doing it's job Ash. I think it must have got a little lazy in the cold.
  11. What is it exactly that you want photos of? You did say: Is it the ported headers and intake that you are after photos of? We have a NOS installation here and that's all you are concerned about? If it's the NOS setup that you are after photos of, he has actually posted them up before. The pictures aren't on the server anymore, but it has been seen.
  12. LOL! It does look like it doesn't it. Kind of like how it looks like Mick's right arm is on the left of his body holding the hat in the air.
  13. We need one of those portable gas heaters eh. This weather is freezing.
  14. That appears to be a bolt-on kit for the Lexus IS350 or GS350. Because those cars have a longitudinal engine layout, the kit would be custom made to fit that. Additionally, I'm sure it would have meant 2GR-FSE as that's what they use. Anyways, if you reckon you could get that kit to work, feel free. But for AUD$15,000, I wouldn't be willing to try it.
  15. Installing the head unit itself is really, really simple. Without any knowledge or experience, I reckon you could fit the head unit in under an hour. It truly is plug and play. Installing the reverse camera is relatively simple but requires a bit of mucking around. If you are fine with running cables and splicing into the appropriate wires, I would say the reverse camera would take no more than 1.5 to 2 hours depending on what camera you have and how you choose to mount it. If getting someone to install it for you and they know what they are doing, I'd estimate it to take no more than 2 hours in total to do it all at once.
  16. Buying it is a really tempting thought, but if I were to go for forced induction, I'd prefer to go turbo. Don't get me wrong; I love superchargers and as nice as it would be to have a TRD supercharger, it is fairly restrictive in what it can do. If it had a decent whine to it, that may be the only selling point for me. On top of that though, the lack of intercooling is another fail. The gains, even though the supercharger here is well priced, are not really the best 'bang for your buck'.
  17. That is true as well. Best bet is to look at the wiring harness that goes into the boot. It should be hiding behind all the boot trim. You may find a connector with more wires on one side than the other. I believe it was like that with my Aurion. If you have a multimeter, you can just test these wires for power when in reverse. Without a service manual, you'd need someone who has already attempted this themselves, or someone willing to try it out for you. otherwise you can be the first to take note of it all.
  18. You're right in that it will unlock as you get into the right range.. but With your car as it is, yes you do need to touch something for it to unlock, but what you are touching is the door handle. It's a bit impossible to open the door without the door handle, so in practise it makes no difference. Right?
  19. Without owning a Corolla, based on the information you have provided, the easiest place to obtain +12v only when the car is in reverse is from either of the reverse lights themselves. You can either tap into it directly from the light itself at the boot lid then just run the wire from the boot lid to the bumper, or you can find which wires go to the reverse lights and tap into them at any point along the loom (such as in the boot area itself).
  20. You can get either the 'Aurion' or 'Sportivo' branded mats direct from Toyota Genuine Parts for $87.45 including GST.
  21. But why would you need this Ash? Your Smart Entry technically does this for you.
  22. You forgot to mention the crucial part.... duct tape.
  23. The SX6 does not have Smart Entry hence my answer prioritised towards that. I can see you have an SX6 from your sidebar info.
  24. So I take it you want to tie this in with the stock alarm/immobiliser? If that is the case, the alarm and immobiliser system in the Aurion without the Smart Entry DOES NOT use CAN communication. Only the Aurion's that have Smart Entry will use CAN communication, but you can still tie in an aftermarket accessory without disturbing this.
  25. Well yeah, they do have that as well. I guess my statement should have been 'performance wise, the Camry SE V6 is no different to the Aurion Sportivo. Only on the XLE which is like the Presara.
