  1. Just my own opinion once again. It might just be to do with the colour of your car, but without the reflectors, the term 'smooth as a baby's bottom' comes to mind, not tough or anything like that.
  2. If you are thinking about this to the point that you are asking here for opinions, I'm guessing that you like the look of it without reflectors. If that's the case, just go for it. As long as you like it, then that's good. Personally, I reckon you should get a rear lip to 'break-up' the emptiness. This is only because the rear bumper is just the little bit too large on the vertical plane.

  4. Mate. Take it easy on the posting okay. Posting numerous times isn't going to help anyone. Some questions take time to get the right answers since some people may not have come across such an issue. Besides getting a new cable, you can try to clamp a tiny nut and bolt to the end of the cable that snapped (if it still reaches the mechanism) and that will prevent the cable coming out of the latch mechanism; kind of like how that little bead at the end of the cable is, except it will be a nut and bolt. It's a bit tough to explain, but in a situation like this, you need to use creativity. Kind of like when you snap a brake cable on some push bikes. You have no other option than to replace the cable unless you can be creative enough to figure something out for yourself.

    tyre wear

What pressure do you inflate your tires to? Usually wear in the centre only versus even wear indicates over-inflation.
  6. Don't worry, I'm with you on this one. I spent a good few hours in discussion with several people before painting and attaching my eyelids. I had many people say to make them black and only a few that said to colour code it. Of the few that said to colour code it, they changed their mind once it was attached. There were 2 primary reasons they all had for why it should be black, bearing in mind that these opinions were based on the Sportivo: 1) It creates symmetry. When you look at the bottom of the Sportivo bumper, you have it split into three 'highlighted' areas. A black trim around the centre radiator opening, and a black trim around each fog light. Then on the top you just have a black section where the grill is (more bold with a mesh grill). By attaching the eyelids and having them black as well, you add a black 'highlight' to each of the headlights. This creates that same three-part layout you have on the lower part of the bumper. It then looks a little more even now. 2) With the eyelids painted body colour, when you take a step back it will partially blend into the bonnet. It isn't as noticeable that there is something unique about the headlights. When they are black, it grabs your attention more and you definitely see it as something unique to the car. Once again, these are personal opinions and some others see things differently. I also had a third reason and that was because I like the look of black when mixed with red, but that's just me.
  7. no disecting needed to get SWI-JACK working on an Aurion,i'm going to post Mikeyboys diagrams and step by step info, and all this misinformation & guessing should be a thing of the past ;) p.s we followed Mikeyboy's posted diagrams & instructions and it worked 1st go and no problems,my installer did say he would have been buggered if not for this info. :) Yeah, we confirmed that on the 30th of April in the thread: Steering wheel audio controls The FAQ has been updated for future reference as well. It was a matter of whether or not the SWI-JACK could be guaranteed to restore the DISP functionality on the Aurion. Without someone trying it (for however much the SWI-JACK is), the answer could not be certain, hence I was not going to go around saying something WILL work on the Aurion without proof to back it up. Anyways, thanks to Mikeyboy for taking the time to lend a hand. All I needed to see was that the pink wire when connected to ground (which is also done through the SWI-JACK) will restore the DISP button.
  8. It's hard to think that it's only 21 more sleeps till I will be driving down to Melbourne for all this. Time has flown by pretty quick.
  9. Well as long as nothing is blowing up... all seems pretty good.
  10. I personally hate the front and rear of the first one AND the front of the second one. The front of the first and second have too many sharp lines in comparison to the smooth lines of the Aurion. I don't even think I could pick a better of the two. The only part I like is the rear of the second one.
  11. DJKOR

    i got one

Thanks captain obvious; but sometimes more detail helps ;) Eg. Like the sequence of events that led to that occurring.

    i got one

    Oh noes. What happened there?
  13. Welcome. Should put up a photo of your Aurion. Those rims look nice from what I can see.
  14. You need to take me for a spin when I see you next with her while she is fresh, if you don't mind an open relationship. Make sure you bring along a breaker bar... I remember you trying to remove the ones on Evan's car :P
  15. I didn't know you were into that kind of music Evan. I used to have that stuff going when I was doing night-fill work. Always helped to make it through the night without slowing down. What am I listening to right now: Mason - Quarter [Original Edit]
  16. I'm sure it would feel great to get back in it again. It has been quite a long time.
  17. Damn. That was a really good offer. good luck with the conversion.
  18. english please? i think you were saying that a Hyundai is better than your corolla..... Blasphemy! yeah... i was wondering what exactly he had said too. That English is definitely not correct. 'Excel' and 'performance' shouldn't be used in the same sentence.
  19. I highly doubt any of those are your problem based on your description of it's occurrence.
  20. Definitely in. I swear, at this rate I'm going to need new tires before I drive to Melbourne in a few weeks time. take me for a run lol... Okay then.

  22. And it will look even more cheap and crappy once the heat from the exhaust cooks the LED's... most likely one at a time at some random pattern.
  23. And then for future reference... don't park under trees for that reason.
  24. Each to their own. Not my style.
  25. Depends on how you define normal . I get all kinds of burning smells after a 'normal' drive and this comes from either the tires or the brakes. Jokes aside, if I drive my Aurion really tame and then get back home and put it in the garage, I do notice it smells lightly of hot rubber. I'm not too fussed about it because when you consider how much plastic and rubber there is around the engine bay, I think the process of it heating up creates that smell. Also as well during the course of normal driving, all kinds of things get kicked up into the lower part of the engine bay from the road. When this grime, etc gets heated by the engine and exhaust, it also can create some odd smells.
