  1. Whats the HID like in the foglight, can u drive it with it on all d time or only when nobody is around. Also what sort of globe is d fog light, cuz i know in the pre-facelift its an H4 (low and high beam are H7).
  2. I got a great one, but Im gonna keep it to myself
  3. Drove around in the heavy rain tonight with my HID lights. They are fantastic. They absolutley light up all the reflectors, and line markings, and I can see the ground perfect. I used the High Beams too and they dont seam to be afftected, they still light up and around as they did before, but arnt all that necessary. The HID lights didnt seem to bother anybody and there is minimal dispersment of light. I have them aligned so I can just see under the rear window of a hatch or the top of the boot of a sedan. Absolutely Fantastic, I wish I had bought a set earlier.
  4. make sure you ask for jap build acsent, not a south african.
  5. Success, the passenger light had a discarded parking globe stuck underneath, and would not allow to dip further, now it a bit low, i'll adjust properly next week. I dont know how the parking globe was stuck there since i've never lost 1, Must have been there from the factory or my 10k service.
  6. In Victoria it is legal to have any headlight as long as it is white (i.e not blue or red) and long as it ajusted to to a headlight board. It is legal to have HID lights on a non HID car in Victoria. I have the VICRoads document at work, i'll post the link up on Monday.
  7. The large screw with the metal teeth on the edge brings it up/down but its doesn't do much good as the rolla headlight reflectors disperse the light too wide anyway. its not too bright, u're just not used to it. just aim them as low as u can and drive. The drivers side headlight seems fine, I angled it exactely according to the workshop manual dimensions, and the light doesnt seem to disperse. The passenger side light is the one that wont line up and disperses alot, I think its damaged or defective. Do you find that it anoys other drivers? or are they okay with it?
  8. I worked it out One of my headlighs adjust fine, the other does not since it wont dip down anymore (damn Toyota). So I have had to completely unsrew the left right adjustment, and turn the headlight by hand. Its only hanging by the up down adjustment at the momemnt so i'm gonna pull the headlight out on the weekend and see what wrong with it (damn Toyota). Also note the workshop manual is wrong for the facelift atleast. You turn the screwdriver clockwose to dip the headlight down and anti-clockwise to dip it up, the workshop manual has it the other way around. I havent used the high beams yet, but i'm guessing that i will have to buy another set of HIDs for the high beam, since they have dipped also.
  9. Your not helping. The install is good, the car is the prob. May get toyota to do the adjustment next week at my service. So i wont drive my car at night for a week.
  10. I just rang toyota and they said one screw is for up and down and one is for left and right, and the low and high beam move as one unit. But ive I just tries it and i cant seem to get it low enogh without blinding others. Now that I have to lower my lower my low beam, that means the high beam will lower too. Has anybody else had trouble with this?
  11. hey i just installed a set of HID's in my 05 rolla and they are too bright now. Ive been trying to adjust my headights but they only seem to be going left or right. Is there another adjustment to go up and down, cuz i can only see 1 more adjustment but the seems to be for my hi-beam.
  12. It theCES exhaust system somehing we can directly bolt on ourselves, or does it require welding and cutting things back. Plus how much?
  13. Silva, All paid Now I cant wait to get the parts, ZAV
  14. I agree, if your set on the conquest, then tell him to give you the 06 at no extra cost. Dont pay the extra 700, cuz thats too much.
  15. maybe the previous owner bought a TRD M sport part and the sticker was just placed there as some sought of authentication label, sort of like the sticker you get with windows xp

Reminder, I'm After the following whiteline products Front and Rear Springs Rear Sway Bar Front Sway Bar Front Strut Brace
  19. I drove specielized32's car yesterday to see if I thought something was wrong with it. He let me give the sportivo a bit of stick and I noticed a few differences. My clutch is very short, with only a small amout of freeplay, while specialized 32's clutch is is a lot higher, almost twice as much and he has only done 1800km. His gearbox is a little notchy, but I think it'll wear in after a few thousand Ks. It will only downshift into first at under 20km/h. When I engaged lift in 1st in his car, it nowhere near throws you back in the seat like mine, although when changing to second I can hit in his car lift between gears at 7000RPM (which throws you back), while hitting lift in 3rd seemed impossible. My car consistantly hits lift between gear changes in all gears (Ive only tried up till fourth) at around 6200RPM (I've never noticed a 7000 RPM change in my car, but I liked it). I'm not sure if his car just need wearing in, but it seemed like a different car to drive while engaging lift. Regular driving felt about the same. Mine is Jan 2005 built Sportivo, and his is a Sept 2005 built sportivo. Was there any changes made to the stivo between those bulid dates.
  20. Mine did the same thing, one of the stick on balances on the inside of the rim fell off. The tyre factory fixed it for free.
  21. Hey Specialized32. Yep Nunawading sctratched my glove box and centre console too, but they are fixing it at my next service. Make sure you take it back and tell them. Plus make sure you speak to Shane. From what I read, the clutch sdjustment can vary and only a few have succeeded. Before my clutch adjustment I could not change into 3rd or downshift into 2nd or 1st without struggling. Or when overtaking I couldnt keep it in peak power by downshifting to an appropriate gear without some sort of thump. I can now slip into first at almost any speed now (thats appropriate), the gear box feel so smooth, and responds to my every command. I can drop it back, into any gear and overtake with ease now. All I can say is let them keep trying. It may be a trial and error to get the clutch right.
  22. They are $2178 for the set and thats without install
  23. Pocket and spacers, $25 from autobarn
  24. I like how the labels are in english but the display is in jap/chinese
