  1. Ive experienced less axle trap with increased tyre wear, also keeping launches under 4000 rpm helps too.
  2. Some1 ran up my Bum of my 05 sportivo last week, so I need to get a new rear bumper bar. Does any1 know where I can get a jap spec rear bumper bar with the little inserts and the two piece rear under skirts. I'll pay the difference between the bars
  3. I'm sure steam is a no no for paint protection. The rest use recycled water and detergents. Just means if u use the car wash and then some bird poop gets through the paint protection, then they wont cover you since the paint protection has beeen washed off. The corolla paint pretty good, i park it under gum trees all night, then get bird n possum poop on it. Leave it in the sun for for the week, n it comes right off on the weekend. So far ive had it for six months and gave it a wax when i bought it, n polished and waxed it a few weeks ago. Still looks new, look in my garage, the shot from the rear is after my last polish n wax. Almost looks like the porsche in bad boys (I wish).
  4. I agree its bull You cant take the car to a car wash, you cant polish it and you have to use the their special shampoo which doesnt really lather. Plus bugs stick to the paint protection, and you cant get it off without using other products, which u r not allowed to do. It wont protect from scraches and stone chips A good polish and wax every 6 months will do the same job as paint protection.
  5. I be interested in a group buy on rear under skirts, but those particular ones. Id much rather get my hands on a euro spec or jap spec skirt to try n match up with the rest of the kit.
  6. Basically, Mazda 3 SP23 - Nice Looks from the out (a bit PT cruiser from some angles), 17 inch wheels, nice ride height, interior is modern, Good for Regular Driving, handles good, No real performance, very common. Toyota Corolla Sportivo - Not so different from a regular corolla from the outside, Interior is very nice & comfortable (bit outdated though), Only 16 inch wheels, needs lowering, handles good, 6 speed manual, same engine as celica & lotus elise 141 KW (Go Yamaha), needs to be driven hard for performance but it is very satisfying, sometimes not suitable for city driving, excellent fuel economy (i usually get 600km to a tank), needs rear underskirt (although i dont like the dealer option skirt, Jap & Euro Spec is much nicer), not much choice in exciting colours (Black & Red are the best), It will beat most NA 6 cylinders and some V8s (eg Commondores), keeps with Type S Intergas, wont beat WRX's but gives them a good scare for a 1.8ltr, Built in South Africa, Its hard to get 1 now (stopped production), possibly good re-sale value (somewhat rare & possibly wont be a new model), Its a real sleeper. I reckon if you are for looks, go the SP23. If you want performance & something a little bit different, go the Sportivo.
  7. There is no way a 15 inch disc will fit a 15 inch wheel. Prob need at least an 18 inch wheel to fit a 15 inch disk plus calipers, n Rollas arnt gonna get em.
  8. I usually sqeueze 600km just after the fuel light turns on, its mostly city driving and a bit of lift
  9. I sctratched my side skirt when the rear of the car fell into a ditch (Long story on a dirt road for work). I was really angry, but then got over it cuz i can only just barely see it from the top. So yeah if its not too obvious, then dont worry about. It would be worse if you repair it, then it happens again.
  10. If you cant see it while standing up then its not there
  11. Will the european rear skirts fit on an Aus version. As u can see the bumper is a little different with the centre insert, but the shape still looks very similar. From what I can see the rear skirts arent apart of the bumper.
  12. Ive got 18x7.5's with 225/35 tyres. no rubbing or scrubing. Rolling diameter is 5mm smaller than stock, not sure where 3cm came from, maybe a different tyre brand. Better performance with light weight racing wheels (much lighter than stockies) and sticky rubber. Ride firm, but not harsh. Potholes arent a problem (Falken reinforced tyres), but watch out for gutters.
  13. Go lows, you dont wana fork out extra cash after scratching your bodykit. Im going lows after they fix the driveway at work.

    Opinion please

They are a very common wheel. Maybe search for another design. I agree with runx, get some light weight wheels cuz u will notice the difference. My prefered colour is shadow.
  15. I gotta admit n15 SSS go alright. I dragged one the other week. I didnt think of him as much of a challange, so I took off easy. He was in front of me at take off. Once lift happened it was all over for him, but he still wasnt that far behind. Im sure if I did the stivo sweet spot 4k launch, I would have completely cleaned him up though.
  16. Only hit it a couple of times untill 1000km, then after that go for lift when ever you like.
  17. Hmm i got some more bad news. My insurance company wont let me have those wheels on my car. When i rang them before i bought my wheels they said I could go 2 inches up but never said anything about width. Now they are saying i can only go 7 inch wide not 7.5 inches. So i guess my wheels are for sale now. So 4 perfect Ozzie racing 18x7.5 OZR-068 light weight racing wheels in shadow with Falken Ziex 512 225/35R18 plus 1 scrathced rim for a spare for $1900. Cost me $2400 all up after replacing a rim (Have reciepts). Only 2 weeks Old. They are off the car now in my garage. So who ever wants to pic up in Melbourne and pay cash its theirs.
  18. They are Ozzie Racing 068 18x7.5 (2 weeks old) Nah didnt see a name on the truck
  19. Fair enough but he is the one who overtook me, then almost drove into me. It wasnt like i was trying to sneak past him. I really dont know how he didnt see me. Prob just forgot i was there. Or probably he was all wired on speed and coke.
  20. Oh yeah and I didnt get his plates since they were nearly black, and he just kept driving. Im going to replace the rim this week. Here is a pic with the stokie on.
  21. Got run off the road by a truck today. Obviously didnt check his blind spot and changed into my lane. He would have taken out my front quarter front door and rear door. I had to make a split second decision, a smashed up car or my brand new rims. I chose to take the gutter. It was a good and bad decision. Here is the damage. Fortunantely only had 1 wheel damaged.
  22. Is there a lower whiteline spring, or are control springs the lowest
  23. how far do the whiteline springs lower the car?
  24. The verdict Still a very comfortable ride, only maybe 20% firmer, no scrubing and i reckon 235 tyres wuld fit without any issues. Much more punchier take off thanks thanks to light weight wheels. Thanks to Falken, they also stick to the road like flies to ****. Overall, I love my new wheels,
