  1. I say go the stivo. Also, I'm pretty sure the new levins are only 93kw now I'm pretty sure the VW are made in south africa too as well as ford focus, maybe BMW too. Build quality tends to be an issue with all cars, sometimes people are unlucky If you want a brand new stivo I think you better be quick cuz i dont think there arent many around The clio is a good package, but it in the compact car category (barina. yaris etc) while the corolla is a small car. So your paying similar money for a very small car. No probs in the clutches for the facelift, but if you do toyota can make it better with a clutch adjustment. I just lowered mine and have 18's on it, and it looks like a different car.
  2. Whiteline must have messed up because the spacers for the strut braces are missing in most of the boxes for the VIC order, Silva can you please resolve this?
  3. I'd be interested in replicas for the right price. Its such a small piece of material, so as long as it is a clean finish thats easy to paint and fit is good, it should do. I think you should only worry about replicas when it comes down to full body kits where you can see waves in the fibreglass, and perfect fit is important.
  4. $850 is not bad, but $1300 is way too much
  5. Any news? I was really hanging for this weekend, oh well.
  6. That is a nice looking front bar, is anyone else thinking group buy!!
  7. I'm a friggin idiot, i'm measuring thickness and not diameter then i added a zero. It was too late last night. I will measure the diameter tnite
  8. I doubt he would have got it today (public holiday), but I hope we get our goods by friday, so i can install em on the weekend.
  9. Since about 17000km my sportivo has been running a little rough at idle. It usually start a couple of seconds after say you stop at traffic or lights or when u turn the heater or air con on. It gets even worse when the thermo cuts in. Now before 17000km it seemed to run fine. I took my car for its 20000k service and they said they check my ecu and said everything seemed to be fine, and there was nothing they could do since it was all ecu controlled. Now ive tried using different fuels, reset the ecu twice, so i'm running out of ideas. Is it true that Toyota cannot do something, or are the just lazy?
  10. how will they know, well the toyota technical dept in sydney read the forums, dont belive me do somthing that voids your warranty try for a claim and get told about the days current events on the forums :P Interesting, I'm glad my engine is still stock. But yeah its prob not a good idea to post up your mods if they can identify your car. Prob rub out you number plate on any pics as a start, as per my garage.
  11. Yeah one of the reasons i wanna get a set is cuz the stock seats are too high, so i wanna get some lowered rails if possible. Any 1 else?
  12. My search for recaro seats came up with nothing, but can we have an actual confirmation. I need to know where I can get them, soon cuz i really want these seats. Has any1 actually intalled after market seats. I would prefer brackets that are ADR compliant or simular. Found it when i just searched recaro. Seems like they are expensive, but i dont think it confirmed if i could get it for the rolla. Ne1 actully installed recaros in a Rolla?
  13. Hey Ive got a good oportunity to buy a pair of genuine Recaro SR seats in Black for my rolla real cheap in perfect nick. Now i had a look look at my seats and it looks like they seat belts are bolted to the seats. I need to know if there is a seat belt and seat bracket kit for the corolla, to fit a set of recaro sr seats. If so where can I get it
  14. Dyno day was fantastic, I was the highest.......well in ride height anyway. From what i understood BP ultimate is the best n a good thrashing before going on the dyno makes a difference. I dont think my week old optimax n just warmed up car helped. Anyway generally cars lose 30% through the driveline so anything over 100kw is pretty good. Im hoping to get CAI and some other minor mods and see if i can get 110+kw next time. I know I definentely wont be getting a CES, or any exhaust mods (maybe port n polish though). Also talking dynos, what sort of dyno does ces have, the ones down in melb a generally dyno dynamics, maybe different dyno makes, give higher results.
  15. A port and polish is something I may be interested in. Prob find out if you can get a group discount. Now i'm pretty sure a port and polish will void your warranty, but it is likely Toyota will never know unless they have to pull apart your engine/exhaust for some reason and thats if they can tell its been port matched. Also then maybe it also doesnt void your since all your doing fixing the factory mismatches, and improving flow.
  16. I'm with just cars and 23, with all my mods covered its $850 per year full comp.
  17. I think i'd go with rex too. Its like paying 40 grand for a Corolla, it seems silly when there is a better car on the market.
  18. I sort of jump between, depends on how i'm feeling or how much traffic is out there. In peak hour, when i have to change lanes n move around i'll stay in forth while cruising. At night time, n when no one is around 5th at 60km/h is no problem in a stivo.
  19. Its cool, i'll pick the stuff up from ur plc early. But i'll prob come down for the cruise ( if there is 1)
  20. Nunawading toyota just tried to charge me $309 for my 20k sevice, lucky i had a 10% discount card so i payed $270. I rang around though, Ferntree Gully Toyota $245, Yarra Valley Toyota $260.
  21. I'm happy with Knox. The city has too many kerbs and steep driveways, so you can scratch your wheels or bodykit on.
  22. In VIC the cops dont really care, ive never turned mine off.
  23. I went down this road before, but ultimetly I decided to get get a regular spring and and adjustable shock combo, with front and rear sway bars and front strut brace. I imagine it wont handle as good as a set of coilovers, but i'm sure its not that far off especially for street driving. Basically the only advantage that I saw was the fact you could adjust the ride height, which I probably would leave at the same ride at maybe 35mm low. But you never know, maybe coilovers will suit you. I mean I was told not to get 18's cuz of ride quality, but I still got 18 inch wheels with 35 profile rubber and I think its a pretty comfy ride.
  24. Ive seen a civic with VTECDR, y not LIFTDR or ONLIFT, MRLIFT, I8VTEC (if you dont dont like hondas, but i like em), NAKILA, KILANA, 18L4NA, 18LTR4,
