  1. nice work but yeah try to line the leds with the car. like put the covers back on the car and use a horizontal laser line generator to project a level line across both cover to mark them. probably not the easiest way lol but just an idea :) if you want to cover the led heads have you considered using thin strips of clear plastic (like the walls of flexible clear tube) and drilling dimples for each led head? i don't know how it will turn out but just an idea. all the best
  2. OEM hids (BMW, Mercs, Toyota etc.) are around 4300-5000k. is the seller an ebay seller?
  3. i spotted the trd ford focus at carousel and its front bumper had black gaffer tape or duct tape to make some sort of pattern.
  4. thats a cool idea andy!
  5. great photo ray! looks like those 3d images from a computer game!
  6. inverted the clock lcd. installed euro aircon vents. Had to use the american double din fascia kit :( Not the most ideal but the alternative was to expensive
  7. i'm thinking your high beam "appear" dim because your hid low beams are outshining them. maybe get something to match or beat the output of the low beams like a 4300k 35w or 55w hid kit
  8. nice, the front doors of the zze levins already has the wires for side indication and mirror folding in the looms so no need to feed extra wire through the door. just need to connect them in the dash
  9. What *I* would do, is unplug the o² sensor, and create an extension cable ie. buy a plug, socket and a length of 5 core (or whatever) cable. That's what I'm thinking of now. Any ideas where to find the connectors (as in in-store)? you can buy the o2 plugs from toyota (i made a thread somewhere with a link to the toyota wiring manual) and source the crimps on jaycar

  11. i remember there were old threads on sportivo sideskirts being stolen and also steering wheel airbags! http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...ed&pid=9744 http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...&pid=204963 http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...aded&start=
  12. fixed the vibration in the rear view mirror. just tested new projectors and very impressed
  13. got the mod done today OMG what a difference in sound, it now has the deep earthy rumble I was after, not the hum it had. haven't had much of a chance for some spirited runs yet, but it has more "bottom end" around town. got the mech to cut cross section of the crush just to show how much restriction there is as stock. well done scoota! glad it worked out. did you move the o2 sensor like what mkay did?
  14. thanks for bumping this thread as it got me into action and fixed the vibration issue. i used two o rings from the plumbing kit as washers on the two screws. the trick is to not turn the screws too tightly.
  15. just take the lot :P i dont mind but it depends how much it cost to do a swap i prefer some1 taking the muffler coz i know it'll cost around $100 to do the swap and my car will look stock with the tip The facelift and prefacelift 1zz headers are different and the o2 sensor position is different too. So I'm afraid it won't be a simple swap as brad would have to extend the o2 wires too.
  16. yeah i'll use some rubber strips leftover from my spoiler and bluetack in the ball joint. and hang some gold bricks on the mirror
  17. Its mounted on the roof in the merc (1994). Probably due to its good sound deadening and luxury suspension. My friends mirage is windscreen mounted I think. Maybe replace the roof mirror and with those aftermarket windscreen mirrors that allex suggested. is that legal? Anyway I added some thick double sided tape in between the mount and its reduced but could be better with dynamat or something more dense.
  18. it vibrates 90+ kph. Ive driven in a merc and a mirage on the same route and no vibration. Wheel balance done etc. Ill have to live with it but I want to try loosening? (its a high freq vibration) the mirror mount when I figure out how to.
  19. wow very unique and i want that front haha. you should put this in the ZZE hot hatch thread :)
  20. aw please don't start this debate again haha :) there are plenty of info on how hids work
