  1. Gates make decent kits. Aisin are the OEM brand manufacturer for water pumps and sell at a cheaper price.
  2. 99% sure it is the head gasket. That is a big job to do correctly to prevent it leaking again.
  3. Google will help you if you are too cheap to buy one.
  4. Not to my knowledge, not sure why you would though?
  5. You have posted this in the wrong section. I suggest you post it in the Hilux section.
  6. Have you contacted the dealer and asked?
  7. Fixed it up for you Jeffy. 3VZ was in the Gen 3(93-97) and the 1MZ was in the Gen 4 & 5(98-02/02-06). However you are chasing the VVT-i model, have you considered a 2GR-FE? These guys also have a lot of experience with various swaps. http://www.roadandtrack.net.au/
  8. No it isn't, it's a 3.0L V6! Stop arguing the point, you are making yourself seem less intelligent! It might be the problem...or might not be.
  9. I would not have any issues running any of the oils you listed. I use Penrite regularly so I can recommend that, however there is not a huge quality difference across the market.

  13. Have you ever been to the drags? If not, your statement is invalid.
  14. Have you looked into the Aerpro plug and play harnesses? What brand head unit are you looking to install? These are straight from the OEM wiring diagrams manual, assuming that you do not have a cd changer. I/TOCAU, do not take responsibility if you let the smoke out, these are provided as advice only, use at your own risk. Working right to left, top to bottom on each connector. Connector A(left): 1. 15. Could possibly be a dirty idle air control valve(IACV), couldn't hurt to give it a clean.
  16. In that case, take it to a different mechanic for another quote.
  17. Bridgestones looked better, because racecar! :)
  18. I have DGR, the setup I have is not very streetable either.
  19. This might be one you have to pioneer John.
  20. No it isn't. You created another thread about the exact question you asked. http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/46582-toyota-estima-owner-in-brisbane/
