    Hi

Welcome Kit - good luck with your search & possible purchase B)
  2. You probably arleady know the answer now vegemite, but you will have a full sized alloy spare B)
  3. No-one i know has installed a pod, but there are a few with K&N panel filters. Why a pod - are you after better induction, or sound? Just curious
  4. Not that I am recommending this, but in my Subaru days, I bought a new tyre placard from a higher spec model and stuck it over the old placard on my car to get around this very problem. I would assume it's isn't legal to do this though
  5. Looks very neat installed there Scott B)
  6. I did a bit of a search and found this thread, and a link to this PDF. Cheers
  7. If you are talking emergency towing, then yes - there is an eyelet (stored with the tools under the floor at the rear) that screws into the front bumper, details of which are in your owners manual. If you talking a 4WD type recovery point for a snatch strap for example, then I would say NO; the towing recovery point would not be up to the task IMO and there are no other towing points on the front. Hope that helps!
  8. Yes, I have front mudflaps with OEM sidesteps, rears would be unaffected by sidesteps. Cheers
  9. Found out today that Bob Jane T-marts can do a Maxxis MA-S2 in 255/50R19 for $305each. Looks like a very good possibility as a replacement for the D400's, although the rolling diameter could make the speedo error worse. I need to get the exact diameter from the tyre specs and compare it with the D400 before I get too excited.
  10. G'day Scott, I bought a remote mic UHF because I could not see a neat way of integrating one with the Kluger dash (KX-S). So, my radio is mounted under the seat, and is fully controlled from the handset. I have the handset clip mounted on the side of the centre console. Also when choosing your radio, you might like to know that the ACMA is proposing to open the UHF band up to an additional 40 channels, so if you can afford it, buy a radio that is programmable above the normal frequency range - more here Hope that helps!
  11. HID lighting starts to get a bit complicated with the legal side of things. Installing HID high-beam is generally OK, but HID low beam is another thing altogether - any sort of aftermarket HID low-beam lighting would be illegal, unless it also has some sort of headlight washer and auto-levelling mechanism fitted as well (as per ADR rules) This includes HID bulb replacement or complete HID lights like these China ones :( I know lots of people do it, but I'm not willing to Cheers
  12. Welcome HappyCamper, All the power outlets are accessory switched, so you would have to get an auto electrician to modify the wiring for your fridge if you want it running with the key removed. You would have to be careful not to drain the battery enough that that car wouldn't start though unless you installed a dual battery system. I'm also not a fan of the seatbelt beeper, but I think I remember reading this is a "dealer programmable" feature, so it's possible it could be disabled (no guarantees!) I'd also like less road biased 19" tyres, but I think we'll have a hard time tracking some down. As for the A/C lights if you drive with your headlights on during the day, then the illumination is dulled as a consequence (well on a KX-S at least). Bit of a PITA but I don't know of any way around that. Hopefully someone will come along with a bit more info than what I've added (which now that I read it is virtually nil ) Cheers
  13. Take lots of pics Klugered B)
  14. The only one I remember is TOOGUD in this thread I think he's sold his Kluger now though Cheers
  15. Interesting! Will be watching for updates. Thanks ope B)
  16. I'm pretty sure the iPhone cannot send contacts out, the same way you can't Bluetoth someone a picture you have taken on your iPhone (it's an Apple thing <_< )
  17. Hi kel01b, unfortunately that is the way the Bluetooth works in the Kluger - no way around it I'm afraid. Even more annoying is the fact the paired handset can;'t be changed while the car is moving <_< Cheers
  18. Thanks for that info Hado :)
  19. That looks very good merlint. Nice work
  20. Good stuff merlint - and thanks again. My 19-inch tyres are about worn out and I am seriously considering going to a 17inch aftermarket wheel & tyre. Look forward to seeing how yours looks B)
  21. Hi merlint - are those tyres correctly speed and load rated do you know? ah and.... THIS THREAD IS WORTHLESS WITHOUT PICS :P :P Thanks for the info Cheers
