Tonight on the way home a lowered v6 camry pulled up next to me, it had th 17 inch GTP rims on it, looked nice, big fart can out the back, P plater of course, 98-2000 model, and a mate in the passanger side checking out my car, and of course giving him encouragement. He revs his car, i looked over and they're both just looking at the lights. I thought, arghhhh here we go again. So im revving it to let him know its on. Im sitting on five grand, lights go green, dropped the clutch, bogged into a wheelspin, needle stuck on 7 grand spinning like a mother######,i backed off the gas, it finally gripped, dropped to about 5 grand, i was easily a car and a half behind. Hit lift, reeld him in like a snapper, changed to second, stayed in lift, topped second, i could see his headlights in my side mirror, about a car and a bit in front, im in third, he backed off, i waited for him. He pulls up we had a chat, he was driving an auto, they asked what i had, i said 6 speed, they looked at me with a huh? They liked the rolla gave me a compliment on the pulling power, i dont think they knew i only had a 1.8 . Good to spank a v6 anyday, even better the camry, i had one of those back in 98 and they were quick, to reel him in like i did made me realize that we have a quick little car. You dont really feel it since it has less torque, but boy does it have power.

A cruise would be good E-Gene but its a bit late, and where can we go without loosing people around? Any sugestions? Hope the weather holds up, its been good this last couple of days :D Hey Danthuyer!! i wouldnt wanna be in QLD anyway, the car would cost a fortune to run, having the aircon on all the time :P :P

It looks repairable mate, quite alot of damage though. Unfortunately the real pain starts now having to wait and wait, without a car, etc and when you get it back you will be all paranoid etc ;) sad to see man. Good luck with everything hope you get it back better than new.

Back on the topic, Danz, the koni shocks are designed to simply replace your stock ones, and give you better handling, i dont think they will lower the car in any way, i presume youre talking about yellow Koni's.

Thanx for your input luzinit, it is greatly appreciated aspecially coming from a rival car owner B) , however having said that it is good to join forces on issues as there are only a handful of high revving engines out there. You guys are lucky since you have more parts, we sportivo owners are going through a "hit and miss" period, trying new things.

Makes no difference really, infact could be the worse to shorten it, you need all the stick you can grip when making fast changes. It looks better but is it practical? I guess a longer knob aint always better :D

I dont think they lower the car at all, they just make it stiffer handling wise, i remember i asked for them nd they were around the $800 mark.

Yeah shes quite a sight now lowered with lids. The lids were courtesy of E-Gene, $50 via Hong Kong, and they cost me $20 to get them painted.
