  1. Go get them boyzzz :D , make sure when you shift 1st to 2nd, you do it around 7800 rpm, you should land between 6200-6400rpm, bubbye civic :) :)
  2. I think the exhaust and everything else for that matter is the same for the Jap Spec and AU, since both countries are RHD, so i dont se why the Jap spec exhaust would be on the left hand side.
  3. You probably use the front seat for more than just hard drivin' son. All that grinding on the leather cant be good mate, always throw them in the back seat, a bit more room :P :P :P welcome aboard.
  4. Dont know yet Danz, im going on a holiday next couple of months after finishing uni so i might have to wait till i get back. Id love a set of copper coloured rims, ive seen them on a black civic, really stood out. Ive been waiting for 4 months for these springs dude, about bloody time. Whiteline swaybar for rear is next, maybe swaybar for front as well. Handles awesome even with the rear torsion bar, and it's not alot bumpier than before, almost identical. NIKICH i know what you mean, but its a lot lower, i can now reach the top of the car when washing, and it feels alot faster now, maybe coz im lower to the ground. Black is awesome but cleaning it is a prick as we all know. I wish i got the blue one, havent seen many of them around. The way the car looks now in ride height is how Toyota should have brought the Sportivo's out as stock.
  5. Pics are up of the new look with eyelids and a 40mm drop on the front, 30mm drop rear Eibach springs. http://www.toyotaownersclub.com/gallery/au/sptv1 http://www.toyotaownersclub.com/gallery/au/sptv2 http://www.toyotaownersclub.com/gallery/au/sptv3 http://www.toyotaownersclub.com/gallery/au/sptv4
  6. Exactly, so why does this clown start talking about bloody cleos and rx8's, not to mention volvo's and liberty gt's. Stating one's opinion is fine, as long as you have a valid point and stick to the topic.Nobody is saying our car is the best, and this topic was never meant to be argumentative, simply comparative. Why do i even bother sometimes ;) ;)
  7. Just another example of a typical old school rolla owner, cant hack the quality and awesome looks of what is by far the best corolla to be hit Australia, the sportivo. If you want an RX8 what are you doing in this forum? we dont wanna hear it, so just shut it
  8. They shouldnt even come close if you get a good launch, i spanked a workmate's vr with exhaust and gear box work, he didnt even come close. By 1st i had a car and a bit in front, by the time i redlined second he was 3-4 cars behind.
  9. Yeah, same here man, i mucked up a few shifts taking on other cars.
  10. Yeah, it's worth it though :D, the car looks fantastic even on 16's, those huge gaps between wheels and arches are gone, and the body roll around corners is gone too, it handles terrific.
  11. The idea has been mentioned before, however it is too dificult to arrange times for everyones' convenience. Weather isnt too flash these days either. Im up for cruises along as theyre on sundays, or sat nights.
  12. Yeah mate, they have to offset the camber angle so tyrewear isnt affected, only a couple of hours till i get my car back, its about bloody time ive been waiting for those springs since January the 9th.
  13. :) NICE TIMES, those 4ag's were miles ahead of competition in their day. They still put alot of generic 2 liter cars to shame 20 years later.
  14. You decide: http://www.procar.com.au/driverdetail2.asp?id=182 But boy can she drive! Yeah she can drive, i wonder how she rides? Yep Stewie she'd get it :)
  15. Well I also decided to try shifting before 8000rpm, using the clutch, no flat shifting. I changed around 7800, and found it to be better than letting it rev over 8000, it dropped to about 6400. Im definely not gona rev it past 8 grand from now on, 7800 seems to be the best range for a good 1-2nd shift.
  16. Where the hell did you hear that crap? Thanx E_Gene for supplying the lids will slap them on asap. Ohh by the way 2FST4U wanted to hear my CAI in action, so i gave it a bit, hit a pothole at about 90kph, totally stuffed my right front tyre, it has a lump sticking out of the side. Lucky my spare is perfect, got quoted, $225 for a replacement tyre in same dimensions.
  17. Good Stuff Guys, TRS_141, your rims looks smashing from the side, really suit the car, best set of aftermarket ive seen on a rolla yet :)
  18. Ohh boy, Stewart you worry me sometimes mate B) . How the hell did he manage to change at 7800 and still land on 6600?
  19. Thats all a load of crap, its the price of the elise that counts in this situation. I mean the Corolla is at least 300kilos heavier if not more than an elise, so it has all that extra load put on the engine, yet our manuals are no soo descriptive. I hit lift first time on the way home, so what? im not gona have this car forever.
  20. I havent changed them yet, but when i do i intend to put 205/50/16, either michelin or yokohama.
