  1. Awesome mate :D , i did the same thing on my first day, and it runs like a dream, dont be scared to open her up
  2. I used some $20 engine paint for high temperatures but it still comes off especially when i first tried to install the CAI and left tools on it etc. I think it needs to be baked like a bumper since it's plastic and the paint doesent stick to it that good.
  3. An ideal cruise would be like a yearly TOC club cruise, but damn this country is spread all over, but that would be fun :) . Highly unlikely though :(
  4. 20-25 kW, what did you guys order the blitz supercharger? I doubt it. But that is alot of power increase, good luck with the stuff, hope it fits for you :)
  5. Yeah I stopped messing around after $270 bucks, it can get outa hand this exhaust bit. I am still tempted to try new ones but i know the result. As for free flowing mufflers, Peekay i think they improve performance marginally, but are way way too noisy.
  6. I reackon 2zz has done a runner on you mate, as for the coffee, anytime man, i'll even throw in a blonde for ya :P
  7. You can lower it up to 50mm and it still wont scrape the rubber, 35 looks just nice and it wont touch anything, and is still good for speedhumps.
  8. You guys really think the Stivo can go off the clock, hes doing like 230-235 in that photo and only 7000rpm.
  9. I was browsing the other day in Google and came across this pic from a SA site. I wonder if its genuine, see for yourself.
  10. Cheers bro :D enjoy, and make sure you keep her clean.
  11. Everytime im at the lights next to a P plater or a V8 :D .
  12. It might reduce the engine's lifespan, but how long you plan to keep the car for, Id hate to own a sportivo that has done 150+ K's. Ive also heard of a endurance test where the 2zz-ge was revved at 11,000rpm and it lasted for around 48 hours before it blew up. Now that is pretty damn good, so the internals must be very strong.
  13. Check this. i ordered mine last year in june, waited 4 months for it, and didnt even test drive one before. It finally arrived in October, picked her up on a friday from the dealer, it looked stunning, shiny black on a mid 20's day. The salesman said one thing "this car F***** hammers", i was like cool. First set of light i hit lift, and i S*** myself, started to get the shakes. I had a dumb grin on my face for the rest of the day :D. I'll never forget that day.
  14. TRD CAI, sportivo grille, Xforce muffler(sitting in the garage......too loud). Next few weeks should be getting it lowered when the Eibach springs arrive. Thats about it for now. Next week some time when i have a free day ill make the eyelids using the headlight protectors as shaping moulds for the fibre glass, then get them painted. Keep you posted on how it works out.
  15. Welcome aboard champ :) . Please share anything interesting, especially the exhaust bit.
  16. Jesus *****, they might as well put red lights at the front and operate on saturday and sunday nights
  17. CONGRATULATIONS.........let the revs begin :D :D :D .......and the wait
  18. If you start mucking around with the whole exhaust system you must be sure it's in reliable hands. As for the free flowing muffler, you might loose a bit of low end torque, but youre more than likely going to gain some top end power. Since low end torque is low, its not a big loss and its minimal, i couldnt feel it, and youre better off having more top end since our cars are all about top end anyway. But like you i am uncertain as to put the Xforce back on, i mean this guy wants to replace my resonator, and maybe put 2 if needed, so i am confused also . I know i spent 270 so far, maybe i should stop before it gets out of hand...........hmmmm
  19. Ohh, i forgot, the stock exhaust is 3 inches coming from the extractors, then after the cat and resonator, it drops to 2.
  20. Ok. ive got the original one back in, and i am happy about the noise, but i have losta bit of power, particulaly in the top end. I could feel it on the way home, quite a bit of difference, maybe coz of the noise level too. Im going back in friday, he will replace the stock resonator with a different one, maybe put two. They are free flowing so performance should not be affected. All i can say is that the exhaust system is pretty complicated for our cars .
  21. The car is alreadt fitted with a 12 inch resonator man, im going back this afternoon to see what he can do, he might be able to fit a wider resonator with more crap inside it, to quieten her down. I must admit, low end doesent feel any different, but top end feels quicker.
  22. Ok, ive had the muffler for one night, looks totally awesome but tomorrow morning im putting the original back on, simply because of the noise levels, and to be honest, the original one has a really nice sporting sound to it, the xforce is good at idle and when taking off, after that you cant hear a thing. At 2000 revs, it is ridiculous. In lift, it is absolutely insane, you could hear me from kilometers. I went to the casino tonite, and had the pleasure to set off a few alarms just by cruising around looking for a carpark ;) . I love noise, but i wana be able to listen to the radio on the freeway without having to crank it up3/4. For power, it doesent feel like ive gained anything apart from noise, i cant even hear my cold air working, in fact i think at lower revs i might be lacking a few ponies, which is what i dont wanna lose, low end power. Where are those ear muffs?? The muffler is a xforce python
