  1. It shouldnt be more than 3 kilo's tops. The only problem is that customs might suspect your bro in law for a terrorist, those things look like a bazooka :D .
  2. Cheers Rick, enjoy the site and please feel free to add your input. :) :)
  3. I got my service done at 1000k's, cost me $52 bucks for oil and filter change. Next service at 5000k's cost me $110 for oil and service plus other stuff that had to be fixed. Next service at 10000k's is suppose to be $185, but ill change the oil and filter myself and take the car in at 15000 k's to get the stupid stamp saying it got serviced for future selling references. So technically i am servicing the car every 5000k' but only taking the car in to the garage every 10000. The beauty is we dont have timing belts to change as the cam's are chain driven hence the tractor sound of the engine when idiling. At 100,000k's they would have been fairly expensive to change i presume.
  4. It's getting delivered tomorrow (Monday), so ill have a look at it first and see how i go, otherwise ill give you a call, i have your number. I have instructions with pics for the injen so it shouldnt be too much different. Only worry is when youre left with heaps of screws after it's done :D . BTW Thanx for the offer ill see how i go.
  5. For everyday use there is no bloody bodyroll, unless you guys dont know what that is, but if youre gona take the car above recomended speed corners and speed limit then you will get body roll because the suspension is set up to be cumfy not bumpy hence it's a bit looser. I dont blame the car height considering our F***D up roads. A set of Eibach springs should improve the cornering although even as it is, it will outcorner alot of other "sports cars" and remember it has a torsion beam at the back not IRS, but it still handles and steers predictable if kept within its limits.
  6. Mate i know what youre going through, it's the new car syndrome whenre you hear every tick and noise the car makes. I wouldnt worry too much about it, it's a new car and everything has to wear in. I was the same, but now the car is perfect. I was winging about the gearbox, too notchy etc, rattles blah blah blah, brake noise etc. You get used to the brake noise and what the hell you dont drive in reverse all day, the rattles(havent had any dash ones) but the rear one got fixed(loose numberplate), and the gearbox is performing real good
  7. And Fed-Ex couldnt get my package on board on their last shipment so now i gotta wait till monday for them to load it. This is becoming a long wait, hope its worth it.
  8. I had a nasty vibration coming from the rear of the car, i thought it was a speaker or a loose door hinge. it turned out to be a loose number plate that vibrated against the car. That got fixed, now she purrs like a kitten.
  9. Hey c'mon mate dont be like that :P . I get it to land on 6100, and i havent like practiced it or anytyhing, it just started to happend since my car sort of got over 5000k's on board. I tried my ***** off before doing exactly the same as i am doing now but to no effect. Mind you, you get better at changing and learn the car better after a while. It's a confidence thing.
  10. Before x-mas mate, i hardly call Western Union dodgy. Should have waited but oh well
  11. Im with livfor6 and illuminati, i used Optimax the first couple of times till i hit a crap batch, nop putting it in again unless there is no other choice. Ive used Vortex gold but the car didnt perform as good as synergy 8000. Its my only choice. If its good for McLaren, its good for my rolla.
  12. Well you work it out mate, $237US plus $60 delivery at exchange rate of .72
  13. Hey guys i dont wanna brag but since my car got serviced on monday, I landed in lift everytime i tried from 1st to 2nd. The other day a moron in an old ea/eb v8 fairlane took me on,however the road was not straight, it was a right turn from the lights.I was on the inside lane and lets just say i broke into a wild wheel spin once it hit lift, smoked them up, banged it into second and i was still spinning around 80 k's and the best part, I couldnt even hear the old dinosaur growl, he sounded puny compared to my screamer, and the looser try to cut me off once i slowed down.........he was very very ****** . My mate next to me couldnt believe it either. Wait till your box loosens up BlackRolla, it will engage soo much easier. You just gotta love the chirp from 1st to 2nd followed by a faint smell of burnt rubber.
  14. $470 on my TRD CAI.......should be here in about 10 days.
  15. I nearly changed my rims the other day but then changed my mind again and decided to keep the stocky ones. As a word of advice if any of you guys decide on going the extra inch the tyre size you need is a 205/45 17 not 205/40 like i was told because the latter is actually smaller in overall diameter than the stock 195/55 16 and fill the wheel guard even less. I wouldnt even bother on a 17, just go straight to 18's and fill those gaps up.
  16. Keep up the posts my friend, somebody will thank you for it some day. The forum is only new as you are aware but give it time and it will grow. Cheers
  17. I wouldnt disconect it, it was there for a reason to save your ***** from reversing into someone. I nearly did onece, mind you i was half asleep. As John Lennon would say...........let it be, let it beeeep.
  18. I took my mate for a spin last nite, he ownes a Monaro S/C. I managed to land in lift all the time, and let's just say he was very impressed about the car, and he loved the sound. You just gotta step up a notch and shift real quick soon as the needle swings past 8k, bang, it usually lands at 6k or 6100.
  19. He posted 2 vids, one when's hes driving and get's it up to 170 or so to demonstrate he can land in lift in all gears, and the second when he drops the clutch from 6000rpm to demonstrate take off. On the second one i timed his run and it was around seven secs.
  20. Put it this way, the car doesent feel like it's loosing momentum, so youre in lift for basically 4400 rpm. Dont know about times but ive had her for just over 5000 k's and when i landed in lift i was like S**T, and it took me by surprise coz i kinda got used to the lift. I managed to land again today so either im getting better at shifting or the gearbox/clutch are wearing in better. I think it's the latter coz this time it landed on 6,300. The vids daniel posted on the old forum, he was landing on 6500 and i timed his run and it was around 7 secs flat to 100kph. Dont worry about the 8.4 toyota claim , thats Bull***t. Launching it at that speed should technically wipe off around 1.5 secs off the q/m time as well. One day we will see without a doubt a sportivo in the low 14's.
  21. I finally did it yesterday on the way from work, and lets just say it feels soo much quicker.
  22. Dammit Paul i went to GT to enquire about the springs and their all out. Im getting mine done there when the springs arrive in a couple of months they said. Ive seen the pics they took of your car and it's quite low, just rite.
  23. $850 on rating 2 over 25 with AAMI.
  24. I booked in my 5K service, and explained to the service guy the noise. His reply was that because the car is rolling forward most of the time, the pads create a groove in the forward direction, however when rolling backwards the disc is rubbing against the groove and it makes that noise.
