  1. I think they are a great little car, look really nice, i was planning to buy one but getting the staff discount from toyota was too much, besides i took one on a few weeks ago and got him by a couple of car lengths, topping out 4th. Nothing compares to lift :D even if it's a 2 liter
  2. Not bad mate, not bad at all, that unichip must really increase the torque across the rev range. I have noticed a few more dirty looks out there from people, i think the car is earning some respect, must be all you guys with your crazy driving .
  3. When i went for my run, i had it in 4th, I hit lift and the car just tore holes into the horizon, my mate in the front seat couldnt believe this was just a 1.8 4 banga and it rocketed from that speed, i mean this car gets to 180 very quick, and it's just an awesome feeling when youre doing 140 then hit lift and you take off at that speed, simply awesome :D :D.
  4. I tried very hard this weekend but couldnt do it. I wanted to reach top speed, however i wasnt game enuff, the road was there weather was cool, perfect conditions. I had 2 passangers making up about 180kilos. I reached 210km/h in 5th at about 7400rpm. It felt good at that speed, i reackon i could easily get 220 out of 5th alone. And our car was meant to top out at 215. <_< , it really cained in 4th, and the needle just kept going, you can feel lift in 5th as well, not as much as 4th, but 5th feels good, dont even wana think about lift in 6th.
  5. Damn i cant remember the brand, its a well known brand it holds some backpressure as well about $300 bucks, he also mentioned that the settings with the unichip will not alter the reading of the original toyota CPU, so when toyota diagnoses the car, it wont show anything. The Unichip basically alters the fuel map settings.
  6. I looked into it, it's quite affordable $1200 bucks, i was also recommended a better muffler to help performance. The guy knew what he was talking about since he unichipped a red one not long ago :D , i wonder who? so next week i think ill get mine done.
  7. Man you cant tease us like this, how much torque are you getting now? how much power at the wheels are you putting out? That post was like getting a lapdance, you cant tease like this :D :D
  8. Yes, yes indeed Peekay, i remember clearly the way he crossed his legs on your couch while watching the Melb GP , but i dont like red cars :) so sorry guys :( :(
  9. Yeah the gearbox seems to be the weakest link, also my left front strut is fubar, getting it repalced on monday.
  10. Red Phantom my azzzz , It was Peekay in his Rolla :D , or Stewart having another wet dream :P :P :P
  11. Stewart, i bet youre one of those guys that writes stories for a porno mag :D i like how you put that into words, are you sure it wasnt a dream :P . And what do we have here, Daniel has posted again :o wow!!!.
  12. Dropped the clutch from 5 grand, and it wasnt a few metres, it was about 20-30, i made sure i wasnt gona rear end anyone. Didnt do a burnout, waste of tyres, just got grip and redlined it.
  13. Holy S**T, Peekay, where did that one come from?????? :o :o :o :D :D
  14. It's nobody's thing, but everyone seems to have been there on a sat nite. It was weird how a normal car with a normal family looked so out of place at that time. Dont get me wrong, theres better things to do with your sat nites, but i havent been there in years, and never taken my car there before. Nothing's changed, same old S##T, chicks with attitide and plenty of Habibs pretending they drive a cab
  15. i like what you said but i understand they are manufactured in south africa. i remember the words "made in sa" on the side wall. Hmmm thats weird, mine have the "made in France" written on them, who cares though, same compound shouldnt make any difference except that they probably tested my tyres for performance somewhere in france squashing frogs about the place :D
  16. The worst part of the car that is scratched is the passanger sides, side skirt. Some girls just dont know how to hop in a car with their heels on.
  17. Youre a lifesaver mate, that sensor was a pain in the azzzzz, it just stood out soo much, a very very useful post :D
  18. My car is in for a right front strut/shock abosorber problem at Rick Wolaney, Werribee, they seem to be pretty good, they have a massive workshop, and Rick also owns Whyndam Lexus, and Daewoo dealerships. Can't complain so far.
  19. ;) ;) Thats bad news Exec6speed, i presume you took off the CAI for warranty purposes. Please fill in on the diagnosis and outcome.
  20. Yeah, i think the colour black at night shines really good, i mean my car waz soo dirty that night i could have written my mobile number on the side , but it still shined. Lift sounds really really good on that street, i know blow off valvles sound great, but lift roars, it scares people. I took off the VVTi-L stickers off the sides, but you can still see the sportivo badges on the skirt. Hey Danz you pimpas# daddy, i remember the first time i saw your wheels i thought you had 18's on the car. I take it the girl you mentioned in point 1, became the friend in point 4 :P :P
  21. The painted mudfalps on the levin look better because they have the sideskirts so being the same colour looks like part of the kit. On the Stivo it looks crap, especially on white, it must be toyota's way of trying to sell the back skirt, wich should have been bloody standard. Stupid Marketing. They should have offered factory sunroof as optional, more people would be thinking of buying that instead of the skirt.
  22. When are you gona put up some pics Rob?
  23. Hi Marcin, welcome to the Aussie Forum. The difference between the European Corolla and the Aussie Corolla is mostly cosmetic, around the headlights, and we don't get a 2 door version. Also in Europe i believe they have a 1.6 liter and a diesel, In Australia we only have the 1.8 100kw and the 1.8 141kw(sportivo, known as t-sport). Our cars are made in South Africa, and are right hand drive. Check out some of the members cars. http://www.toyotaownersclub.com/gallery/au
