If your looking for a shorter shifter with a shorter throw, get the TWM one. Much much shorter

the size over all is shorter than the trd! it may feel like the throw is shorter than the trd but its actually not! note the length of the bottom shaft, its the same length as stock.. trd shifter has a slightly longer bottom part so you dont have to move the stick as far to move the cables! hope that makes sense..

is the TWM the one installed in your car like in the pic? Looks short, is it still ok to reach easily? Are these able to be used with the 1zz's?? Adrian

Hi everyone,

I have a strong feeling that this topic has been covered.........................but... i'm going to talk about it anyway. lol.

A few questions to the peeps out there who have knowledge or already own a TRD Short Shifter.

1). Is it true that the Short shifter some how stuffs up ur gear ratios ?

2). Is it easy to install? (i.e: Is it easy to remove the casing around the gear handle?)

3). And should I buy the TRD Short Shifter for $300, give or take, from Rolling Blk? lol.

Any kind of comments are appeciated on this topic. thx for reading.

I can only comment on the 2zz here

1 - NO !

2 - YES !

3 - $300 ? unsure what they are these days with the exchange rate new but mine (4yrs ago) was around that price

IMO - those people with stupid short arms that look like they have been taken from an MX5 and implanted in are HARD to use and require ALOT more effort to travel between gates. I helped a couple of lads install these kind of arms in stivos in QLD and they were a waste of time and money. Anyone that has driven a stivo / 1zz with the TRD shifter will agree that it is money well spent EXCEPT NO SUBSTITUTE !
