Is tinting headlights or tail lights legal in NSW? Been googling the webs, and reading the commodores, some said illegals, been pulled and stuff, but they didnt provide the supporting documents that actually says they're illegal...

Any1 clarify me for this?

my stupid question of the day.

how do you dispose the used oil from the car after oil change?

Thanks in advance

D35

Is this supposed to be a trick question?

I think you put it into a container like an empty 5L bottle or something, and take it to any mechanic and they 'should' take it off your hands.

DON'T put it into your garbage bin, unless you want to be shot :P

Thanks Evan, :D :D

its not a trick question! im just curious, because i know there are heavy fines associated with this if one was caught!

i just hope that i don't get charged by the mechanic for disposing it.

pretty sure they 'may' charge you for it... but don't bring it up when you see them :Pi make my life easier and just get my local mechanics to change mine for me, instead of me doing it LOL

Up here we have a chemical waste pickup every year (6 months really, if you include Lake Macquarie's one too), just fill your boot up with oil, oil filters, batteries, fertiliser etc and drive it to the council depot, pop the boot and they get rid of it all for you, at no charge.

Means you need to stockpile during the year, and they won't accept more than 20L of any one product, but I don't tend to do 5 oil changes in 6 months so thats not really a problem.

My stupid question:

Does Engine oil has an expire day or best before date?

seeing supercheap auto is selling the Edge 5W30 for $30.

thinking of stocking up.

Thanks in advance

No, if the container has not been opened, it is good indefinitely

motor oil does not have a documented expiration date. Under optimal conditions, the product is stable for an extended period of time and can be used as long as the American Petroleum Institute (API) rating on the label continues to meet or exceed the requirements listed in your owner's manual. If the rating is still current, shake the container before use to blend any additives that may have settled.

Therefore, i order you to GO NUTS!

Can i use a Wideband O2 sensor on my stock ECU?

If not, can i use a Narrowband (0-1V) AEM Guage? Gauge-Type Wideband UEGO Controller?

And this, can i use this? A'PEXi AFC NEO or no?

if i am going all out, i might as well get everything i shall need :P

dude.

a WBO2 can be used if you have a stock ECU, provided that either;

you leave the narrowband one in there and mount the WBO2 elsewhere

OR

if the WBO2 has narrowband emulation that is supported by your ECU. (you can then ditch the stock narrownband)

and as i have said before, the 0-1v gauges are a complete waste of time, they will tell you either rich, or lean. nothing else, dont bother with it.

You can use a SAFC with your car if you want, but they are fcuking pointless.

I was thinking of this one...

AEM Wideband

Or can you recommend one that would be right for the set-up i am currently running?

Evo

I personally am a big fan of the zeitronix system i have... but that might not suit your needs.

http://www.zeitronix.com/Products/zt2/zt2.htm

What i need is something that can run on the factory sensor
