Hey guys, I got a fuel filter to replace in a 2002 Corolla but I am not sure of the location of the fuel pump fuse or the actual procedure. Anybody know if this is a DIY job and if so what are the steps. Thanks.

No, open the petrol filler cap to release the pressure and when you're disconnecting the lines off the pump/filter assy cover them with a rag so they wont spray inside the car...

Might be a minor fuel smell but that can be fixed with a short burst of air freshener...

Thanks for the feedback. Will be attempting this today. I'll try to get some pics of the procedure.

Sorry no pics.

This procedure should not be done unless you have some serious patience.

There some important parts that have to be reused (the top and bottom caps, a top cap rubber washer w/ short plastic tube, and the rubber that holds the pump up into the top cap, and some other obvious parts).

I got it done finally but I wouldn't want to do it again.

Anyway, if anyone needs any specific advice I can answer any questions about the procedure.

All the newer ones are the same style of filter and may vary slightly with the design, shape or components...

Pretty easy when you've done them once :) :) :) ...
