Ive got 20%.

I got it done at Castle Hill Solar Tint - Behind mobile opposite Castle Towers.

Cant complain - No problems with Cops which is pretty good seeing I'm a P plater got exahust etc so attention is drawn, but never any issues.

Nice looking car you have Brad!,

ive got darkest legal i have no idea what percentage that is but it was done by a place called protint, you have one of them up your way? it was cheap and it's been good over the 12 months ive had it.

Personally I think 35% tint (darkest legal) is a waste of time and money.

You can still see clearly through it, and it doesn't exactly do much in terms of keeping heat/ray out. A lot of my mates have 25% and have not been pulled, cos the men in blue can't tell the difference anyway.

If I was gonna get tint I'd probably get something between 20-25, 25 being on the safe side if you're really paranoid about getting yellowed.

yeh most cops wont be able to tell the difference

but if you are pulled over, some cops have a light sensor with them and can test it and yellow you if they want

i know this cause my friends windows got tested when he got done for speeding

i got 18% on my old rolla.

i think i also have 18 on the new one.

never had a problem with the tint and coppas.

i am a window tinter so that helps.

personally 20% u wont have a problem. 18 u might. 5 u will.

Madrox, would you be able to give a price of what you would charge for my wagon to be tinted say at 25%?

I don't know about you guys, I have 18% on my car and I have trouble seeing outside at night on roads that don't have lights. If a car didn't have their lights on, there would be an accident for sure.

Any of you guys with 20% or under have trouble driving at night?

i have the Sol-ace/Tint-a-car Midnite express 35% darkest legal tint and i find it does a good enough job.. with regards to seeing inside, it depends on your interior trim colour and also the body paint of your car.. obviously with a dark coloured car you will notice that the windows will not get any darker unless you get yourself something like a 5% job.. which I think is a waste of time and money... thats just IMO tho and it all depends what you want to achieve....

FYI i paid $295 back in May when they had a month long special, when its normally priced at $395. i found most tint companies have they're specials during or before the winter months... i was also thinking of going with Solar Tint but they only offered 10yrs warranty as opposed to a lifetime....

hope that helps

dont have 25% at work. we have 20 and 18.

18 would look nice but i reccomend 20%. it wont look to dark and you wont have any problem seeing out

it is $295 for anyone as long as you let me know on here first.

i have to pretend that you are a mate not a normal customer or else you get charged 395+.

295 for midnight express (darkest legal) 295 for 20% and 295 for 18%.

btw i work at solace tint-a-car fivedock.

ill let you in on a secret.

yes it has a life time warranty.

but at all tint shops in nsw lifetime means 10 years.

we also offer a 25year warrenty on other top of the range films that we have.

and we dont do front screens. it is illegal.

mine light sensored at 17% by the tinter

i drive a camry...my fronts are getting done 50% just to cut glare..

my cons for going that dark would be when the sun hits the front windscreen, i get a glare of the aircon vents on my door windows thus makin it harder to view the rear view...hence the 50% is goin on ...the other con is i find myself rollin da windows down when parking...getting old?...c*ck eyed? ...maybe

oh and erm if anyone cares all my car gets tinted privately by this "well known tinter" top notch not one prob what so ever

legal issues? none so far thank god... as for what darkness you want is relative eh...you gain something you lose something

coilovers = good looks & handling but also stiff ride and dangerous wet road drive

tinting = cool looks, less uv,privacy to peering thieves but also = visibility reduced

all the above is dangerous but hey what isnt? sense and sensibility is the key

I had my Yaris tinted with 35% 2 days ago. Would love to go darker but I didn't wanna run the risk of voiding my insurance. A fine from a copper is okay, I can deal with that. But if I was in an accident and it was my fault. They could very possibly void my insurance claim because of the tint.. =(

But oh wells 35% does it for me just fine.

all new cars from the car yard come with 35%.

we have 12 different films that are all 35% but all look differant.

f1 is 35%

both bolle is 35%

midnight express is 35%

security film is 35

tint conidtioning is 35

ashcool is 35

motor one is 35

3 year is 35

sunsmart is 35

street legal is 35

eminem is 35%

teh list goes on.

but they all look differant have diff warranties, darkness is diff, protection is diff.

midnight express has charcol in the film so it appears as dark as 20% but is still legal.
