Yeah I Just A Kit Off Him...Tangcla Is A Champ...Hopefully I Will Install It This Weekend....I Was Wondering Where Do You Guys Hide/Fix Your Ballast? Can Someone Post Some Pictures Plz?

I was able to tuck mine into the wheel arch's as i had a good length of cable from the ballasts. Almost 3 years on, and theyre still going. It looks stealth too with everything hidden and neatly routed.

got my HIDs installed..

Question... did anyone cut a round hole in the black plastic cover for the back of the headlights? then put the hid bulb through that?

or did you leave the back of the headlight housing open?

I used a 20mm hole saw and cut a hole through it.

Yeah that's what I had to do when I installed my HID on my 2002 conquest...but it is different for the facelift sportivo...it is way more simpler :) the "hard" work is actually just to find where you are going to hide the ballast and then you just have to cut a groove on the plastic cover (takes may be 30s) :) I did mine yesterday....looks pretty good I think! :)

I got my 6k HID Kit off Tangcla who is a member on the forum for $150....works a treat....I can post a few pics if you really want to see how it looks like...the kit also comes with some brackets, which is quite handy when fixing your ballast....Trust me a few months ago I bought a kit for $450 (came from the US and made in Japan and blah blah blah) and I can tell you now it does not make a difference going for the most expensive one.....only difference between both kits were:

(1) the ballast for the $450 kit were thinner

(2) there was no installation instruction (quite easy for anyone to figure out)

Past those above differences, I could not find any.

The facelift dust caps are a hard plastic cap. Are the pre-facelift caps made from rubber?

yeah like a rubber seal.... the HID's just push through... much neater ;)

Yeah I just smashed the dust cap over the wire and they've sat there ever since.

HIDs are the bomb .. I reckon the sole reason I would get them would be to get even with the other mofos shining their lights at my face when Im driving ... just kidding!!!

But in all seriousness, they do make the road more clearer at night when you're driving. It's ****house when it rains though, cos you cant see anything with that tone of light.

ones i got off tangcla had instructions.

they told me not to touch the globe or i could bum myself.

well worth the price just to read the humorous mispelt instructions

so since i got the 05 i got the hard cover? so drilling will be required? wont that cause moisture to go into the headlight assembly??

Yeah, i have 6000k HID's and theyre not the best when its wet at night. But it doesnt mean you cant see anything. Its almost like you dont have your lights turned on effect, on the road! A friend of mine has 4500k on his car and its alot better in the rain. But obviously, being a lower kelvin rating the light is yellow/beige, similar to OEM or normal halogen headlights.

I'm running without the covers coz I didn't want to drill through them. No problems whatsoever

ahh, thankyouuu... no problems with moisture? i gather that cap has a rubber seal on it for a reason? just have to see how we go.

well i hardly drive the car anyway, its not even at my house, but its 100% mine :angry: looking forward to HID's, i saw them on a 03 stivo on the M4 at 6:05 in the morning, looked wicked.. can't wait :D

      ASV50 Camry Head Unit Options

      I have a 2014 Atara SL with the JBL Navigation head unit, it's getting a bit long in the tooth and I'd like to add Android Auto so I'm curious about what other owners have done. I don't want to lose the reverse camera and the dynamic guidelines, there are also some other car functions as part of it that would be good to keep. I have seen plug in modules that wire in that add the functionality to the existing unit so it's possible to keep it and switch between stock and android but I haven't seen a specific one for this model JBL unit. Has anyone had success with a later model Toyota unit bolting in?

      1zz-fe engine rebuild

      Hello all, Working on my 2002 corolla. It needs a engine rebuild due to burning oil out the back. It has over 400,000 km on it and I havent looked after it. Everything is still original on the motor. The only thing that I have replaced, was the brushes on the alternator. They were completely worn out. I am pulling the motor/gearbox out of the car. Wont know the condition of the block or head until I strip it down. I know the design of the piston where changed in the 2003+ models for more oil holes, which stopped the buring of oil. 1. Was there any other changes made ? 2. Does anyone know of where I can get a engine rebuild kit for 1zz-fe motor in australia ? 3.       2007 Corolla Sedan rear seatbelt question

      Hi everyone, new member here. I've got a small problem which I'm hoping you can help me sort out. I've read the "read me first" thread and done a forum search so apologies if this ends up being a repost. Ok, so I've just has a bloody mouse chew through the rear seat and half (but only half) of every rear seatbelt. Which is nice. So I need to replace them. The problem I appear to have is that none of the local breakers have any suitable vehicles that I can pull them from and the ones I ordered and was sent from the bay of fleas has the wrong brackets on, despite being allegedly for that vehicle. Further searches come up with every seller showing the wrong bracket, so either I've got a special car which is different just because, or (more likely) they don't know their ****s from their elbows what they're selling. I'm after some aftermarket ones as they never get used and just need to be there to get through rego so don't really want to spend a heap of cash I don't have on genuine parts if I can avoid it. I've replaced the centre one (a mate just randomly had it in a box in his shed, which was handy) but still need the left and right. I've attached the bracket type I pulled from the car and need. Is this a standard generic Toyota seatbelt or specific to the 2007 Corolla sedan? Does is need to be specifically for the rear left and right or do front ones fit? Does anyone know where I can source an aftermarket pair? I will really, really appreciate any help offered with this, I know my way around a box of tools but very little about mechanikicing (which is part of the reason why I bought this car - something simple to learn on as repairs/replacements become due) and this is a simple fix which is turning into a drawn out headache.       Hi all, Wondering if anyone has had this issue. I recently purchased a 2007 200 series landcruiser, and the amplifier for the air con unit stopped working. Part number 88650-60D60. (Looks like a circuit board) All controls for the air con now do not work, very frustrating in winter when you dont have any way to unfog your windscreen. Toyota have informed me that they no longer produce this part, and there is nothing superseeded to fit in it's place. My question is has anyone had this problem? If so what did you do to fix it? I have got onto an auto sparky who has had a go at fixing the circuit board but its unserviceable. Any feedback would be much appreciated.
