Hey all

I've been a member of this forum for awhile but never posted up my car in this section, so thought i would post up some pics.

Basically whats done to the car are

-8000K Hid kit

-BC Racing coilovers

-Eyelids

-Rims

-Ultra Racing front strut bar

-Ultra Racing rear sway bar

-Kumho KU36 Tyres

-K&N Intake kit [Needs to be installed]

-Sports Grill [Needs to be installed

Future plans are

-Personalised plates

-Engine and exhaust mods

Looking pretty sleek and stylish. You need some personalised plates. The state issue ones are ruining the look :lol:

Once I settle with my license and pick up all my goods from AUR30N, I'll start mine.. Hahah..

God, number plates. Do you guys have yearly fees? Down in sydney, the yearly fee is a rip off.. :angry:

haha sounds good! what happened to you license if u dont mind me asking? suspended? :ph34r:

you mean rego fees? if so then yeah we do. cant really remember but it cost me somewhere between $650 to $700+ a year! i agree that the prices are too steep!

im not sure what im going to do with the exhaust atm, i might end up saving up and getting a custom setup done from front to end.

He was referring to a yearly fee to have personalised plates. In that case, for personalised plates in Queensland, it is only a once off fee.

ELEGNT: haha yeah man its been awhile, i was at the meet last week but you werent there. I havnt seen your car for ages! last time i saw it was the begining of this year were we met up at sunnybank maccas so i could check out your exhaust, dont know if you remember still haha. Hope to see your car in person sometime soon!

Very nice Aurion!! Gotta agree with lateralus, it's the best black Aurion I've seen here, so if others are hiding they need to put up their piccies too! :lol:

Best of luck with all of your plans for the future, and you definitely need to join the personalised plate club hehehe NSW sucks with their yearly fees :P QLD & VIC have got the right idea, pay for 'em once and they're yours!

the ad i think was for nike about 7 to 10 yrs ago,young bloke walks into a shoe store and looks at shoes,salesman hands him a black pair and he says "got any blacker"cracks me up when i remember it or hear it being referred to,is a classic,should be on the net somewhere surely,anyways good luck

      overheated engine

      I drive a 2010 series 200 sahara V8 automatic. I recently towed a small caravan on a not that hotter day. The temperature gauge went to about half then dropped back to normal. The motor then went into limp mode and eventually stopped. On lifting the bonnet i noticed the top radiator tank had split all the way across. I have only two months ago had the complete cooling system checked with no defects. I called the RAA in South Aust and they tried to start it but just turned over but did not fire up. It was still pretty hot. I have been told the motor would be ruined by overheating. The car has been sitting at the repairers for 5 days now and as far as i know it has not been attempted to start. Before putting a new motor in it would it be worth putting a new radiator in it and see if it will fire up? Open to any suggestions at this stage.

      1996 Trueno XZ - Is it worth modding?

      Depends on how common/rare they are in your part of the world. The XZ trim was the second-lowest so didn't come with most of the fun bits that the full-fruit BZG/V/R models did, so it's not anywhere near as desirable stock but sometimes you have to make do with what you can find, plus you shouldn't feel as guilty modding the heck out of it since most of it isn't special.

      VSC, Traction Control, Check Engine lights all on

      I attended Toyota Preston for Aurion ATX 2013 major service today. Cost $~$1300. On the way home I stopped to pick up dinner. Two fault lights: engine and VSC lights came on when I restarted the car. Car drove home just fine. I can only return the car tomorrow for them to sort out. Annoyed. Let’s see if they’re still on in the morning.

      1996 Trueno XZ - Is it worth modding?

      Hi everyone, new member to the group and owner driver of a nifty little Toyota Sprinter Trueno XZ, now this was my cousins car, I bought it off him and after various drives, I have come to the decision that this needs alot of love. Now I am wondering if its worth putting my time and money into doing this certain make n model up or should I just buy a different car to do up? I am not very car-inclined so I really don't know a lot. Any opinions would be very helpful Thankful!
