Squeaky Clutch Pedal

Hi folks,

I have a ZRE Corolla (2008) and have noticed that my clutch pedal sometimes is a little squeaky when depressed.

I have stuck my head down there to see if there is a spring or such I can give a spray with some WD40 to shut it up but wasnt able to see anything obvious.

Has anyone else had this and/or have any ideas how I can fix it up.

Thanks in advance

I've had a similar problem. It seems to be more prevalent when the engine is warming up and in stop and go traffic. It goes away after a while. However, not sure whether it may be related, but i recently noticed there is a slight faint squeal (like a timing belt slip noise) when the car is cruising or idling when the clutch pedal isn't depressed. The noise stops when you press the clutch pedal slightly (e.g. 1-2 cm)

yeah I had the same problem. I had to have the clutch fork pivot bolt lubricated. I haven't had a problem since.
Yep I have the same problem. Need to grease the pivot point of the clutch fork

High chance this will be your solution.

Thanks guys, will get them to do this next service and see how it goes.

Now that I'm more awake and not posting at 5am i'll elaborate a little.

I tried putting some grease on the pivot point just smearing it onto it. This seemed to help a little but then the squeek came back. I am yet to fix this completely as I'll probably need to remove the clutch fork to get behind the pivot point to grease it up

Had service done today and asked the Toyota guys to fix this. When I picked up the car they said they'd lubricated it and fixed the problem but alas on the way home same squeak... *pulls hair out*
