A very novel idea. Great thinking. It should work like a short ram pod. And dude, your filter needs a clean :P

I would like to see what you have done, coz I've put in a Pod filter on my Car...looks like a rampod!

:P The filter is clean but the TRD filter has black mesh on it and it always looks dirty,

even after i had it serviced and had the air filter cleaned and reoiled it looked that way. Which was only 1 1/2 months ago it looked exactly the same as it does now i check it like once every 2 weeks to make sure it is clean and all of the cable ties are in tact and havent broken i just like to be safe. :ph34r:

its not all about the sound - performance gains in my mind are more important if its all about the sound chuck a cannon on the **** end of the car that will give you the note you want "imitation performance" i would love to see pictures though to completly understand what youv'e done

actually mate, no i cant see them as they dont load up on this screen at all.. all it says is user posted image.. then nothing but blank. but thanks for your concern

Thats a top DIY there.

Dont know about the cable tie monopoly though...you couldnt find anyway to mount that half of the airbox? Maybe if you drill holes in the side and screw it down to where it originally sits...

Here's my Custom Ram Pod.

Got the Air Flow Sensor tube coupling from autobarn.

Diameter 3'' and the MAF sensor just screws on top.
